Hikaru woke instantly when the sun rose over his windowsill. Morning already? Feels like I just went to sleep . . . Oh well - I'll just go downstairs and get breakfast.
Slowly stepping out of bed, the black-haired, 5'3" boy got dressed in his bluejeans and a white t-shirt with a flame pertern on it, and made his way downstairs to the kitchen. his mother was in the kitchen.
"Oh, you're up!" she exclaimed, not looking at him,b ut continued to watch the eggs as they cooked. "I was getting worried! You didn't come back after your walk in the woods last night!"
Hikaru was confused. "What do you mean?"
"You didn't come back - Dad had to go out to find. He came back with you in his arms with a scared look on his face. He said he couldn't find your Vulpix! The only other thing he saw was a Ninetails."
That's right - we found that Nietails last night . . . I don't remember anythiing about what happened, though. Hikaru thought, sitting down at the table. His mother turned to give his his breakfast, but ended up droppping the plate. It smashed to pieces; the eggs went flying. She shrieked.
"H - Hika - Hikaru!" she screamed. "Wha - what happened!?" She pointed to his head. Hikaru put his hands to his head, just to see what she meant. Only thing was, he couldn't seem to find human ears. They weren't small and round like before - they now stuck out, and even felt slightly furry . . .
"What's going on?" he said outloud, talking to no one in particular. He looked behind him to see yet another shocking surprise: A long, tan-and-white bushy tail flowed out from his bottom. What did that Ninetails do to me!? Did - did it somehow . . . "Vulpix? Where are you, girl?" He called out, hoping his pokemon would come running to him.
To much relief, she did. <Hikaru! You're alrig - you're a fox!>
"Who said that?"
<I did, Hikaru! Didn't you hear me?>
Hikaru realied it was his Vulpix talking to him!
