New Pokemon! Gonbe!

The newest Pokemon has been revealed! This is Gonbe, the newest Pokemon, beyond the current 1-386 Pokemon.

The official Japanese website for the 7th movie have been keeping this Pokemon a secret, until now. For a long time, the website had a page for Pokemon characters in the movie, which included Rayquaza, the three transformations of Deoxys, Plusle, Minun, and the last one was just represented by a question mark.

It's not known yet what kind of role Gonbe will play in the 7th Pokemon movie. Besides the possibility of being in the main feature movie itself, it's possible that it may be in the mini-movie. It looks like a possible pre-evolution of Snorlax, but currently, that's not confirmed. There are still plenty of questions: Will there be more Pokemon soon? How many more? We'll just have to wait and see. Be sure to check back here in the news for any new updates.

I dunno, I mean, it does look like Snorlax, but is it some coincidence that it has the EXACT SAME COLORATION AS MAWILE??? The Pokédex says that Mawile's jaws were actually "steel horns" that became jaws.

I'd say that it's Lax's baby as well. I mean, it's feet, spot on the belly, teeth, ears, and color are almost identical. So, yeah.

Uh...no, not at all. Just because a new pokémon has been revealed doesn't mean another game is in development. This pokémon is going to be in the next movie. -_-

This Pokemon may be the colors of Mawile, but it looks nothing like it, and those are ears, not horns. I suspect that in the Pokedex entry it's talking about Mawile's ancient form, before it evolved to survive on the environment like human beings.

Meanwhile, this little bugger looks kind of like Snorlax, but there's a 50-50 chance that it won't be the pre-evolutionary form. The coloring is wrong, and I can't think of another Pokemon for it to evolve to before Snorlax that would make the coloration and look more to that of Snorlax that would look reasonable.

This does, however, hint that there will be a new generation of Pokemon, which would be exciting, but how many new parts of the world can they come up with? I personally enjoyed Hoenn, I thought it was the most ingenious part of the world yet, but there's Kanto, Johto attacked to the right, the Southern Islands to the south of Kanto, Hoenn to either the left of Johto or right of Kanto, and Orre in some land that's not classified yet. Wouldn't it be cool if they made a huge map when they got totally done?

Either way, Gonbe opens the way for new chances, ideas, and revelations in the Pokemon world, and I can't wait!

Anyways, I wonder what the next game will be. Maybe a remake of G/S/C like FR/LG is a remake of R/B/G. I kinnda hope that's not the case though because I want the new pokes have a game for themselves.

Has it's actual size been shown yet? Anyway, I really do hope it's an evolved form, I've had enough of pre-evolutions, they're weaker, and they don't have any different attacks or abilities to make them worth using.
