Do any of you have ocd? (obsessive compulsive disorder)

Ah, I can relate. I was diagnosed about 15 months ago, I guess. I don't have severe OCD, so I can't speak for everyone, but it really does get easier as time passes. How long have you known about it? The one thing I can say about obsessions is try to use it for your own good. Find something you like to do and run with it - it's a lot easier to write a 100-page screenplay when it's all you can think about for a few hours at a time.

I'm always revealing people's hidden text. I think it's kinda compulsive. Does that count? :/

I don't know if it's technically O.C.D., but I do hate wasteing time, and do anything I can to avoid it.
For example: when I'm watching TV and commercials come on I get restless just sitting there getting brainwashed; instead I get down on the floor and do push-ups, cycle crunches, or some 20lb. curles until the show's back on (unless I have company over, then it would just seem weird).
And, when I am cooking I usually have more than one burner going at once, and inbetween stirs I squeeze in washing a dirty dish or two.

I'm really just a step or two away from doing everything in the shower like Kramer.

That commercial thing is a good idea. I hate sitting through them, so i guess by doing something productive like excersizing is a good idea.

Thanks for the idea

I don't have OCD as much as I do ADD... lol. My mom is MAJOR OCD though... she is always cleaning the house and working and doing chores even when she is sick, and she feels bad and stressed about house work even when she is bed-ridden.

Most everyone has O.C.D. to a certain degree. =P It's just the super, neat freaks and people like that who are mostly noted with it.

My girlfriend happens to be one of those neat freaks. She's insane about it, it's almost scary sometimes. I keep telling her she's going to end up closing herself in her house for years on end, refusing to come out because it's too dirty outside.

Well yeah, everyone has obsessions and everything, but it's only a disorder if it has a significantly negative impact on your life.

I have to pace around the room I'm in whenever I listen to music ... not sure if that's obsessive compulsive, though. :ermm:

Well...whenever I see a foot (bare, not one with a shoe on it), I have to scratch the heal of my own foot. If I wash one hand, I have to wash the other, otherwise I'll go nuts.

I think I do. I'm always rushing my little sister. When I see commercials I stand up and jump all over the couches. When I am having a discussion I drop down and do some push-ups. When I am at school and it is taking long to get a test done. I put my pencil halfway on my desk and pound it. When I am lying in the grass with my friends if something flies by, I chase after it. I don't really pay attention long. I don't know if it is OCD or ADD...

I barely have OCD, but I definately have ADD.

I'll mostly use my ADD in games though. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. xD But when I'm in the middle of an important fight on Halo, and I see something out the window, I'll look at it and stare at it for as long as 5-8 seconds, and I look back at the screen and I would have died. xDD
