Does he have one or does it say anything about him? I was watching the episode where butch and cassidy try to take proffesor Oak's pokemon and the end She thought the poem oak wrote was about ashes mom. And is ashes bulbasaur a girl because it thought the poem was about it to?

I've always thought Ash's Bulbasaur is male. It once fell in love with a Gloom that I thought was female =\ But I could be wrong.

No one knows who Ash's dad is, but people come up with weird theories and stuff like Giovanni and Prof. Oak.

Well maybe some people want to try have a proper conversation without the thread being spammed up.

We know that Ash's dad was a trainer, at least at some point. If he was still alive and knew Ash and everything like Delia once said in the dub, I don't think he'd miss going and watching his son in the Pokemon League and stuff.

Brock's mum actually didn't die. In the original she'd just left home or something, but in the dub they said she'd died. Then she returns home in one of the Pokemon Chronicles. The dub people really messed that one up.
