It wasn't intended as a normal Pokemon game. I liked the shadow Pokemon aspects, and the colluseum battles. Fighting for prizes was a ton of fun. The multiplayer in 3D was incredible, putting normal 2D GBA battles to shame.

Edit: What the ****? Why do you have a favorite Pokemon poll at the top. And none of them are my favorite Pokemon.I vote for ho ho, since it's a dessert.

I liked Colliseum, I suppose. Yes, I would have liked a nrmal game but the 3D graphics were just too good to complain about. And between those Legendaries, I picked Mew.

I liked it. It was different from the standard "battle everyone, catch all pokes, be the good guy, blah, blah, blah...".

I hated coleseum for two reasons:

1.That shadow pokemon thing is retarded(concept and catching)

2.I beat the game for my cousin in a week. IT ALWAYS FROZE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CREDITS!!!!

I enjoyed Colosseum much more than XD. I especially liked the glitches (You can't beat cloning :P).

Oh, and not everyone has a legendary Pokemon as a favorite Pokemon. I didn't like any of the Pokemon you listed, but I LOVE Hohos. They're a really yummy dessert.

I hated the can't-catch-wild-pokemon thing in Colleseum.

And as for the misplaced poll, I voted for Lugia, although he's not my favorite pokemon.

I like the part about the adventureing and the guy not always saying supid things.

I don't like not being able to catch pokemon in the wild and when you did catch one you'd have to worry about purifieing it.

Oh yeah, what up with the poll? I voted mew because it's cute it can transform and learn any move

I kind of liked the Shadow mon aspect. The fact that Pokemon are so hard to come by makes you appreciate the ones you manage to get, and make use of them. I really loved that feeling. The one thing I hate is having to wait to get to Agate Village to finish off the purification... I always immediatly emtpy their heart meters at Pyrite town on those guys who never stop fighting you, so I wanna totally normalize them right then and there.

I didn't like Colo cause when I hacked it and beat it, it froze the second after I saved after the credits.

I liked Colsseum personally. The feel to it was different from usual games and the concept of opening the door of hearts sounded pretty sweet as yes for all those fans of shounen manga know that the evil force or those without restraint or concern usually are stronger because they lack that open concern of their power.

These little guys were actual victims of experimentations. (Something only done in the Pokemon Special manga) The storyline was pretty decent too considering it didn't come from GameFreak but was a Pokemon game. People are free to complain but this game was pretty fun while it lasted IMHO.

Pokemon XD however...

EDIT: Coldn't vote in poll. Wasn't relevant to the post nor do I really care about any of those guys.

My standing is probably 60% love and 40% Hate. What I hated was for the most part you couldnt catch wild Pokemon, there where no gyms, and finally the game was way toos short. I mean your main Pokemon started the game at level 25. However what I did like was your Hero was cool looking and he had a cool background. All the trainers had almost all the Pokemon you could get from the game so they werent too hard to find. It was in frickin 3-D Man! Finally it provided a challenge since you could only choose from 48 Pokemon. The game's 2 on 2 battles rocked! Anyway sure the game had plenty of Downs but in the end it had enough goodies to capture my heart. It was a good first try Nintendo.

No Gyms,Wild Pokemon, and WWWAAAYYY toooo short

Pokemon Colleseum was a horrible game i hated it. It is just dreadful compared to it's predeccesors Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2 which both were awesome games, hopefully the new 'stadium' like pokemon game for the Nintendo Wii will be better!! <3

Edit: BTW i voted for Ho-oh on that list, he's one of the handful of pokemon i just adore (out of all the ones i just plain like)
I hate Lugia though, hehe xD

Definitely liked Colosseum myself. Sure, it was a little short, and no wild pokemon (though really, not a big complaint on that one, you had shadows to capture), it was definitely fun, and hada pretty gripping storyline. Considering your character was sort of a "bad boy" and all, with a cute yet smart partner was also neat, rather than a cookie-cutter good guy in most games of that type (Though really, I wouldn't count any of the other pokemon games like that, they're of a different mold in heroes and such).

Plus, you get the Legendary Dogs and Ho-Oh, which help with the Pokedex for my Ruby and Emerald version. Great thing.

I liked it because all Pokemon games come out around my birthday Mar. 28 and my parents pre-ordered it so I got Jirachi!

1.Colloseum had a bad plotline.
2.The pokemon waited in between attacks.(It looks better on GC and GBA. I hate Gamecube pokemon games.)
3.Shadow Pokemon? C'mon.
It was terrible. The title of this thread is a bit of a misnomer... The poll is about favorite pokemon. I voted Lugia.

I liked the fact that pokemon colloseum had a thing where you could battle in single and double battles thing where the mt.battle challange is, and XD doesnt have that. It just has a Battle now.

I liked it for 2 main reasons

1 - Cant beat the 3D effects - XD still has great graphics
2 - Only got it cause of Entei, Suicune and Raikou - Not Ho-oh because i have XD

And mainly for reason 2 because how hard would it be 2 find all three dogs in FR/LG ??

I havent bothered because it is in in colosseum.

PS: I voted for lugia as u can see in my pic !

I really didn't like colloseum, your team was extremely restricted to those few pokemon that you had to snag.

and colloseum wasnt the first 3D pokemon game, wasn't it pokemon stadium for the N64?

It was okay, it was very different from the Gameboy games but the stroy is more mature so I suppose it has its good and bad points.

My guess is "Great game but the story mode (what made this game) was a tad too short" Feel the same way.

I think that Colosseum was really a sort of testing ground. It had a lot of new things, lots of innovation in the Pokemon franchise. The idea of Shadow Pokemon was neat, and was well done, but the time it took to get the Shadows back to normal status was a little unreasonable since Colosseum wasn't as open-ended as most Pokemon games and was a shorter title than die-hard Pokemon fans are used to.

As for the restrictions, I think that this game was one of those ones where you had to work with what you were given, which provides a bit of strategy. Who knows, you may even use a Pokemon that you really didn't like before, find out it's a great find, and want to use it on your GBA game!

Wow, lot of hate...
Come on the first 3-D plotline game, Stadium were just battles...
And being not like the GBA games, isn't that the point??
It is a twist to not have the "Be a good guy, get all badges.." concept.
Wes(hero), was a former member of a evil organization with 2 experienced pokemons.
I can understand the "not catching wild pokmon", at least you can in Pokemon XD.
I was kinda looking forward to have a villians character as the main player, but this was close..
I give it a 4/5.
Sorry for bumping a frkkin' old topic!!!

the game was good when i first played it and the shadow pokemon aspect was fun but there were only so many catchable pokemon in the game, and worst of all you couldnt capture a scizor AT ALL (unless u used the ar code for all pokemon shadow pokemon), i think if they made another game like that they should make it so you can capture wild pokemon without having to leave pokefood on a circle in the middle of no where,

over all id give coloseum 3/10 and xd 5/10 (im not trying to go off topic as xd is the follow on)

i hope rev will be better and worth 7+/10. Seeing the graphics its already garanteed more than 5 from me .

I didn't like it, didn't hate it.

It was fun up until I got pokemon number 48. Then the game is only good for transferring pokemon if you don't have a cable. xDD
