i don't if this has been done before but i would like to know what everyone thinks.

Torchic, to me, is the best because you never see a fire/fighting type. He may not be very good for some gyms but, when i used him i used him in just about every gym. and he would always pull through.

so please give your thoughts.

sorry, like i said i didn't know wether this thread's been made before because i'm totally new to this site so i had no idea. i was just wanting other people's opinions on it. maybe if i had known about this site a year or two ago then i wouldn't have posted it. i was just curious.

oh, what happens when this is locked. can no one view it or does it get taken off.

and since i'm new to this site i would appreciate it if someone would tell me how to lock it.

sorry if i caused any problems.

1. When locked, no-one can post here. You can still view it.

2. (Sadly,) you can't lock it yourself. A mod or Admin can lock it.

3. Since you're new, they'll let you go. But don't do this again.

Grovyle, not Treeko or Sceptile. But simply Grovyle.

Hey dudes,

Torchic mon. Treecko and Mudkip are best for the first gym, but come on.
Later on you can breed it to learn endure + reversal and still having a strong fire attack like Overheat makes it one tough birdie.
Sceptile's stuck with Leaf Blade and Dragon Claw at best, then can breed to learn Crunch and Detect that's about it.
Swampert's Feraligatr all over again only now it's quad weak against grass. Earthquake, Ice Beam and Muddy Water are about all it's got.

The truth is that throughout the GBA, there's no best starter because they'll still likely be your strongest pokemon up 'til you catch an 00ber, but for outside battling, there's definitely a best. RBY it was Swords Dance Charizard, GSC it was a defensive Meganium, now it's back to fire with Blaziken. Too bad for the water types but there's no beating Starmie, Lanturn, and Milotic.

Pick Torchic, you have no excuse. lol just kidding pick whichever suits you best
Peace / out.

None of the starters in R/S/E are worth it, catch yourself a good strong pokemon early on (or trade) and it'll work out, I suggest a water pokemon like Poliwag or Squirtle, but if not catch an Oddish.

They all suck, no starters after G/S/C are worth the trouble, but I've heard about the starters from D/P....

Being biased in water types, I'd have to say Mudkip is probably the best starter in my own opinion. He gets good evolutions, and is a Water/Ground, which while will double the damage he'd take from grass attacks, he does nullify electricity against him.

What all you guys are saying luck it now and all this stuff is damn spam, so shut it! It will be a Moderators descission.

Meanwhile, I think that Mudkip is the best, Torchic being the worst.
