Mossdeep City Gym

I need help beating this gym. For me it's hard because i lost twice. I got some tips from two members from pe2k and i've done what they said( except leveling them up to Lv. 40). But it's kinda difficult to get them there.( this is as far as i've gotton on this game because i kept starting over for no reason).

Just to help ya'll out here's my team i'll be using:

Swampert- Lv. 40
Manectric- Lv. 38
Duskull- Lv. 29
Skarmory- Lv. 37
Mightyena- Lv. 35(still training)
Absol- (about to catch one)

So please, help me out here. I need it.

Real quick, what type does Mossdeep boast? (like Roxanne boasts rock types, etc.)

Oh yes, that one.

The gym leader's a double battle, so be ready to have out 2 pokemon first turn. Both their pokemon are part rock, so a flurry of water or grass type moves is usually enough. Pretty simple, but other than that it could be useful to teach a few pokemon protect, this way they will be focused on beating one of your pokemon, but they waste their turns because you're protected. A strong steel type is a good bet too, because it can be super effective since they're both rock types (rock is weak against steel) and their psychic attack won't do much against steel pokemon.

And you, I also ask, "why not dark types?" do they have something to counter them or what?

i do have a Mightyena and i'm tryin to catch an Absol. when i first battled them Mightyena's Bite and Shadow Ball(shadow ball came from a TM) were supper effective against Claydol and Xatu.

But at the time he was to weak to cause huge damage( he was around level 30 i believe)

Nah. They just use Earthquake and OHKO Mightyena/Absol. =/

Put Skarmory and Swampert in the ring first. Claydol cant hit Skarmory with earthquake. Have Swampert surf Claydol and Xatu and have Skarmory assault Xatu.

When they are down. Just surf Solrock and Lunatone to death. If you were to really catch an Absol, you were a dummy and wasted your shadowball TM. You should of tought it to Absol.

I've found that Grass and Water types easily sweep her gym.

duskull is also useful as ghost are good against psychic

Use Swampert, and Manetric to start, then try to keep them alive during the fight with claydol and xatu, then when they bring out solrock and lunatune, swap manetic with dusclops (train duskull), or skarmory with a steel type attack (stell wing?), then if u want to, bring out mightyana or absol for fun..... hope this helped! Also level your pokemon to about 40 (37-41 exactly). :happy:
