A Splash in My Journey

I decided to start a Fanfic. It is one of those choise a starter and go colect badges type of story, but I realy like it. I want to here your coments about it.
It dose not have the longest chapter or the best battling I know, but I stil want to try to have a good story.

Here is Chapter 1



Chapter 1
A Shy Little Mudkip

I lay wide-awake in my bed. I stood up and walked over to the window. My beautiful blue sparkling eye looked up at the moon. I thought to myself I Wanda of Littleroot Town was going to make the best water Team ever. Right now at the age of 9 I mean 10 I said after glancing at the clock. I will have a Mudkip tomorrow I mean this morning. I decided to get dress in blue shorts and a white T-Shirt with a water droplet on it. Much better then calling it a raindrop.

I quickly put the brush through my hair and then put it in a ponytail. I raced down stars said goodbye to my parents and was out the door. House, house, house, and lab I thought as I ran. Lab! I screeched to a halt. I had past Prof. Birch’s Lab. I ran up to it and opened the door. It was dark. I walked in and looked around.

“Hello, Hello anybody here” I called out in the dark room.

“Your up already Wanda?” Oh you want your first Pokemon right?” Prof. Birch asked as he turned on the lights.

“Yep, I want Mudkip” I said.

“Well first take this pokedex and 5 spare Pokeballs,” the professor told me.

“No, pokedex for me and I shall make the best water team ever called Team Splash” I told him.

“Ok” Was all Prof. Birch said as he handed me a shiny red Pokeball with Mudkip in it.

I grabbed it and released my Pokemon right away. A blue Pokemon with orange spikes on the side of its head, a flipper on top of its head and a tail that was a flipper appeared. It was a very cute Mudkip.

“Hello my cute little Mudkip I am your trainer Wanda” I told Mudkip as I went to pick it up.

“Mud, Mudkip, Mud” Mudkip said as it ran away from my reach.

“I forgot to tell you that Mudkip is very shy” Prof. Birch said in an embarrassed tone.

“Now you tell me, I already knew that” I say.

I stand up and get close to Mudkip. Then I pick up Mudkip and bring it up to my face. We look eye in eye for about a minute until Mudkip squirted a powerful blast of water at me.
“Mudkip!” I yell at the little Pokemon.

“Muuudd Kiipp Mudkip” Mudkip says as it starts to cry.

“Don’t cry I’m sorry Mudkip” I say trying to make the Pokemon feel better.

Mudkip still cries so I return it to its Pokeball.

“That did not go to well” I tell Prof. Birch shamefully.

“Its ok and good luck with Mudkip” he tells me.

“Thank you and goodbye” I say as I go out the door.

I look down at Mudkip’s pokeball. What made the little Pokemon so shy? I would find out and make friends with it all I needed was luck.

Good start but most good writers perfer to start it with "wake up late, all three pokemon are gone, ends up with a Pidgey/Poochyhena/Pikachu." scenario.

lol, just joshin ya! Thats the do-not when starting a fic! Honestly though, you got to a great start off on the fic and I hope to see more up soon. Try to use a little more description and dont use to much of the narrarator's thoughts or the author will get confused. Awesome start though, cant wait for more!

Well I am not the best in going into detial. I am glad you like it. Ok this chapter is short. I am not good at making long chapters.


Chapter 2
Making Friends With Mudkip

I walked along the dirt path. I really wanted to make friends with Mudkip, but it was so shy. I stopped and looked around. There were trees with sweet Pecha Berry and a beautiful lake for Mudkip to swim in. I picked some Pecha Berries. Then I sat down and let Mudkip out. Mudkip was still crying. I held a Pecha berry in my hand and I lowered it down to where Mudkip was.

“Mud, Mudkip, Mud?” Mudkip asked.

“Just take it,” I told my Pokemon.

My Pokemon just looked at me. I place the Pecha Berry on the ground and Mudkip starts eating it. Well that was a start I thought. What if I got into a battle? Mudkip was not ready to battle yet. I needed another Pokemon. I scanned the lake for other water Pokemon, but did not find anything.

“Hey Mudkip how about you go swimming in that nearby lake?” I ask Mudkip.

Mudkip just looks at the lake for a long time then nervously walks near it. It looks into the water to see its reflection and freaks out.

I laugh and say “Mudkip its only your reflection.

Mudkip looks up at me with sad eyes full of tears it opened its mouth and squirted me with mud this time. I could take some water in the face, but mud was something else.

“Mudkip!” You little beast you made me all dirty” I angrily told my Pokemon.

I had never seen a Pokemon that sad before it cried and cried. It would not stop. I quietly walked up to Mudkip. I picked Mudkip up and rocked it in my arms.

“Why am I calling you a beast?” I am the beast. The way I treated you is no way to treat any Pokemon. I am very sorry Mudkip. Will you forgive me?” I told my Pokemon as tears went down my check.

Mudkip stopped crying. I looked up at me with beautiful eyes. We were like that for 5 minutes maybe more. Then Mudkip nodded and jumped out of my arms. Mudkip had forgiven me.

Mudkip went to lie down in the warm sun and toke a nap. How the little Pokemon had forgiven me from probably the worst thing I have ever done.

Well this is the first battle. Not the best. It is short also. Oh well.

Chapter 3
My First Challenge
I stood up and returned Mudkip to its pokeball. I walked along the path until I herded a clear voice of someone young.

“Are you a trainer? If so lets battle” The young boy told me.

“Battle?” I ask him.

“Yay a Pokemon battle you know” he told me.

“Well my Pokemon is not ready to battle yet,” I told him.

“So you think your going to get beaten by a little kid. Ha a big kid being scared of a little kid. Go ahead be a Torchic. Torch, Torch, Torch” he teased me.

“That’s enough I will battle you,” I said very angrily.

“Fine, Go Taillow” he said as he threw a Pokeball

The Pokemon that came looked like a bird with blue wings a red face and some white. I threw my Pokeball and Mudkip came out.

“Mud, Mud, Kip, Kip, Mudkip?” Mudkip asked as it looked around.

“Mudkip we are in a Pokemon battle” I whispered to my Pokemon.

As soon as Mudkip herded that it began to freak out. Then Taillow came up and hit Mudkip had with a Wing Attack.

“Mudkip Water Gun” I tell my freaked out Pokemon.
“Mud, Mud, Kip” Mudkip said as it just stood there.

Taillow seeing its chance it swooped up and hit Mudkip with anther Wing Attack. Then Mudkip squirted Taillow hard with a Water Gun. Taillow shook it off and went to hit Mudkip with a Quick Attack, but to my surprised Mudkip dogged it.

“Taillow, Tail, Ow” Taillow chirped very loudly and started to glow.

“Cool, I am going to get a Swellow I am going to get a strong Swellow” The boy sang as he danced around.

When the glowing had stopped a bigger version of Taillow was standing there. Swellow. Mudkip had a chance against Taillow but, not against Swellow

“Swell, Swell, Ow” Swellow chirped as it used a powerful Wing Attack on Mudkip.

Swellow sent Mudkip flying with that attack. Mudkip had fainted and I lost. I returned Mudkip to its pokeball.

“Good match” I told the kid.

“I beat a big kid, little kid beat big kid,” he sang.

“Zip it,” I told him as I walked down the path.

What an annoying kid.

Ok I do hapen to not post the Chapters as soon as I create them. I will post 1 per day. I might post two maby more. I will give you the titles of the next chapters. A will keep you up to date with future chapters.

Chapter 4
Another Water Pokemon I sure had been walking a long time. A beautiful sunset covered the sky. I walked some more until I saw the Pokemon Center. It was the Oldale Pokemon Center. I walked into the building. I walked up to the desk where Nurse Joy sat.

“May I help you?” she asked.

“Yes may you heal my Mudkip?” I ask as I placed Mudkip’s Pokeball on the desk.

“Of course. Go sit down. It should be ready in a few minutes,” she told me as she stood up with the Pokeball and walked away.

I guess I would stay here for the night. Then tomorrow I would go to Petalburg City and challenge Norman. I will probably need to catch another Pokemon.

My thoughts were interrupted when Nurse Joy said “Your Mudkip Is ready”

I stood up and grabbed Mudkip’s Pokeball and went to my room. I was so tiered I went strait to sleep.

I woke up to the sun shining brightly on my face. I got out of bed and yawned. I got ready. Then I left.

Outside it was beautiful. I was happily walking down the path when I was hit in the head with an Iron Tail.

“Ouch!” I yell as I rub the back of my head.

I wonder what Pokemon could have done that. Then the same Pokemon that used Iron Tail on me popped out of the bushes. It was an Azuril. An Azuril? I weak Pokemon like that knew Iron Tail? It was a Water Pokemon. I really wanted it because it knew Iron Tail.

I toke out Mudkip’s Pokeball and threw it. Out came Mudkip. Seeing Azuril in front of it Mudkip began to freak out.

“Mudkip it is a wild Azuril. It is even is cute looking.” I tell Mudkip.

Mudkip nod and shots some mud at Azuril. Azuril jumped and dogged the attack. In mid air its tail started to glow.

“Mudkip watch out for its Iron Tail” I tell Mudkip.

It was to late Azuril Iron Tail hits Mudkip strait in the face. Mudkip starts to burst into tears. Then it send out a Water Gun that Azuril only gets hit a little bit and dodges most of the attack by jumping out of the way.

When Azuril is right over Mudkip I yell “Hit it with a upwards Takedown”

So Mudkip jumps and hits Azuril with its Takedown. It sends Azuril flying to the ground. While Azuril is trying to get up I throw a Pokeball at it. The Pokeball went from side to side Dong, Dong, Dong, and Ping. The Pokeball stopped moving. I stared at it.

Then I shouted I caught my first Pokemon. Mudkip gives me an odd look. I run over to the Pokeball.

I shout “Come out Azuril my new Pokemon”

Azuril comes out and smiles at me.

“Welcome to the team Azuril” I tell it.

Azuril sticks out its tail. I look at it for a few moments then I shake it. Azuril goes over to greet Mudkip. Mudkip just backs away and runs behind a rock.

I return both my Pokemon. Well I am off to my first Gym Battle.

Chapter 13- The Storm with Rare Pokemon


Chapter 5
A Rematch
I walked along the path until I got to Petalburg City. I healed my Pokemon at the Pokemon Center and was off to the gym. I knocked on the door. I was about to leave when the door flew open. There stood a man with a red top, blue or gray pants and dark blue or black hair.

“Hi, I am Norman. Are you here for your first Gym Battle?” the man asked.

“Yep” I said as I wished I had something better to say.

“Well you see I once this was the first gym. But starting trainers were having too much of a hard time beating me. So they made me the 5th gym. You will have to come back when you have 4 badges. Okay?” Norman told me.

“Fine. Good-bye. I will come back,” I told Norman as I walked away.

All I hope is that I do come back. I kept on walking until I saw the same boy who beat me early talking to his friends.

“Yesterday I beat an older kid. It was so easy. Hey there she is,” he said pointing to me.

“Hey kid we will see who is better in a rematch,” I tell him.

“Ok, Go Swellow” he says as he releases Swellow.

I did not know who to use. I decided to use Azuril after I thought about Mudkip fight against him. My cute little Azuril appeared on the field.

“Ha, Ha an Azuril. That is even worse then your Mudkip. Swellow get rid of that little pest with a Wing Attack,” he said while he laughed out loud with laughter.

Swellow went low and went very close to Azuril. Then Azuril jumped and its tail started to glow. Then the little mouse slammed into Swellow with an Iron Tail. Swellow hit the ground hard and Azuril safely jumped off.

“What it knows Iron Tail. Oh well get it Swellow with a quick attack” he commanded as Swellow started towards my little blue mouse.

“Do the same as last time Azuril” I tell my Pokemon.
Azuril jumps but when in the air Swellow flies up and hits Azuril tail.

“Aazzuurriill” Azuril calls out as it falls to the ground.

Azuril struggles to get up, but falls back down. Swellow zooms towards it. Azuril thinks faster then me and squirts Swellow into a house with a Water Gun. Luckily only Swellow was damaged and the house was fine.

“Swell, Swell, Ow” Swellow chirped.

Then suddenly Azuril jumped in the air and twirled around in a circle hitting Swellow with another Iron Tail.

Swellow tries to get up, but collapses. I had won.

Azuril walks over to me and I tell it that it has done a great job and diverse a rest. So I return it to its Pokeball.

I walked over to the kid and say “That was a great match.”

“Because you won” was his reply as he runs away.

All the kids surrounded me saying that was a great match. After awhile I have to say good-bye. I wave to them as I walk down the path. I had won my first Pokemon Battle.

Chapter 14- Trying for a Contest


Chapter 6
The Odd Leader I walked down the path until I see a sign that say Petalburg Woods. I worried about wild Beedrill until I look at the sign more closely and read it. Sign: This is Petalburg Woods. Do not worry about wild Beedrill there are only a few and they are very nice. What you should be worrying about is wild Dustox. Stay away from these Pokemon. They use powerful moves like Psybeam and Silver Wind. Or they can poison you with Poison Sting or Toxic. They also Attack whenever they see a person. This is a warning. A good warning it was.

I had been walking in the forest for about 30 minutes and I still had not seen any Dustox yet. I was very nervous because of Dustox. The hair on my back stood up when I herded a sound like this Dust, Dust, Tox and also noises in the trees. Out came about 20-30 Dustox and a Beautifly. What a Beautifly? All the Dustox just hovered there. Weren’t they spouse to attack right away?

“Beau, Beau, Ti, Fly” Beautifly commanded and all the Dustox attacked.

It made sense Beautifly was the leader of the Dustox! They only attacked when Beautifly told them to. They really needed to update the sign. The Dustox were getting closer and closer. Then I threw a Pokeball and out came Azuril. The Dustox all stopped and looked at their beautiful leader.

“Beau, Beau, Beautifly” their leader told them.

They all nodded and flew around me. They did not attack at all. Beautifly was talking to Azuril. Azuril nodded and it looked like the two were going to have a battle. I thought and then I had an idea. If Beautifly won the Dustox would attack me if Azuril won they would leave us alone. I was depending on Azuril.

“Azzz, Urrrr, Illll, Azuril growled.

Beautifly ignored this and hit Azuril hard with a wing attack.

I felt like calling out commands, but I that if I did the Dustox would attack. Beautifly wanted a Pokemon VS Pokemon battle. Not a Pokemon VS Trainer battle.

Azuril shots out a Water Gun and Beautifly easily dodges it. Beautifly then flies over Azuril and use golden powder called Stun Spore witch makes Azuril sneeze. Being a smart Azuril it used Water Gun on itself to wash off the Sun Spore.

“Az, Az, Azuril” Azuril yelled as it jumped threw the air with a glowing tail.

Azuril tries to hit Beautifly with an Iron Tail, but Beautifly dodges it. Then Azuril swings it knocking Beautifly into a tree. Smack! Beautifly hits the tree hard. I was surprise when it flew away from the tree and tackled Azuril.

“Azzuurriill” Azuril cried out as it hit Beautifly with a Water Gun before Beautifly hit it with another Tackle.

“Beau, Beau, Beautifly” Beautifly cried before it feel to the ground.

All the Dustox flew over to their fallen leader. Beautifly nodded to Azuril and me. That nod said that they would not bother us anymore. Azuril hopped over to me.

When Azuril got close to me I picked it up and said “That was great Azuril.”

I take out Azuril’s Pokeball and return it. Azuril disserved a good rest. I walked along the path of the forest.

I had just entered Rustboro City. No more bug Pokemon had bother me in the forest. I went to the Pokemon Center. Got my Pokemon healed, ate and slept.

The next day I was off. Looking for the gym. After getting directions from few people I made it to the gym. I entered it to see a rock battlefield laid out before me.

“You hear for a gym battle” A girl with a blue dress, pink leotards, blue shoes and brown hair with a pink ribbon in the back of it ask me.

“Yay, I am Wanda,” I told her.

“And I’m Roxanne” the girl told me.

Here I was standing in the place that I was going to have my first Pokemon Gym Battle.

Chapter 15-The Speedy Path



Chapter 7
Mudkip Face your Fears

“Are you shore your ready to face defeat?” Roxanne asked us before the mach started.

“One little problem I am going to win” I told her.

It was right before my battle for the Stone Badge. This was my first gym battle, but I was ready to win. I did have an advantage.

“The challenger Wanda from Littleroot Town and the gym Leader Roxanne. Will have a 2 on 2 Pokemon Battle. May the fight for the Stone Badge begin” The ref shouted out.

Two Pokeballs were sent out onto the field my Azuril and Roxanne’s Geodude. I had decided that it would be a good idea to finish the battle quick and not have to use Mudkip.

“Finish Geodude off with a Water Gun” I command as Azuril shot out a Water Gun.

“Not so quick, Geodude show it your Rock Tome” Roxanne commanded as her Geodude made a rock wall in front of it.

As Azuril tried to break the rock wall Geodude came from behind the rock and went really high. Before Azuril could notice Geodude slammed into Azuril.

“Azzz” was all Azuril could say as it was slammed into the ground.

“Are you all right, if so hit it with an Iron Tail” I tell my Pokemon.

Azuril jumped into the air and came down to where Geodude was. It hit Geodude in the face, but when it reaches the arms Geodude cached it.

While Geodude heeled Azuril upside down Roxanne said “Geodude throw it.”

So that is what Geodude did. It threw Azuril really hard. I could barley watch as Azuril hit the ground. Luckily Azuril survived.

“Geodude finish this off with a Rollout” Roxanne told Geodude.

Geodude went to the ground strait for Azuril. Azuril tried to hold it back with a Water Gun, but soon Geodude broke free and kept on rolling.

I then had a plan and I whispered it the Azuril. Azuril nodded and we went back to the battle. When Geodude was close Azuril jumped out of the way and its tail stated to glow. Its glowing tail came down on the rolling Geodude. Geodude unrolled it self to show that it had fainted.

“Geodude is unable to battle. Azuril wins!” The ref shouted.

“Good job Geodude, you disserve a rest. Wanda you might have beat Geodude, but you never will beat my next Pokemon.” Roxanne said as she returned Geodude and toke out anther Pokeball.

She pressed the button on the Pokeball and a Pokemon with a big red nose appeared. A Nosepass? Why that ugly creature? I knew that Water Gun would not work because of Rock Tome so witch move.

“Sandstorm!” Roxanne yelled.

Nosepass’s noise stated to glow and a sand storm covered the field.

“Now Zap Cannon,” Roxanne told Nosepass as its noise began to glow again, but this time this time electricity was coming from it.

The electricity turned into a ball of that was fired at Azuril. Bam! It hit Azuril. When I the sand was gone I saw Azuril still standing. Then it just fainted it must have been too tired from its last battle.

“Azuril is unable to battle. Nosepass wins!” The ref shouted.

I take out Mudkip’s Pokeball and release it to the field. When it sees ugly Nosepass it freaks out. Nosepass noise started to glow and it launched it Zap Cannon. The battle was already over. I closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes to see Mudkip covered in mud on the field. It had protected its self with mud. Now that was smart. Mudkip then opened its mouth and squirted the while field with water. Nosepass tried to move, but slipped in the mud. Then Mudkip started to kick mud in Nosepass’s face. There was nothing that Nosepass could do.

“I surrender” Roxanne shamefully said as she returned her Nosepass and then I returned Mudkip.

“The Gym Leader Roxanne has surrender so the winner is Wanda. Wanda wins the stone badge,” the ref said finishing the battle.

Outside Roxanne handed me the Stone Badge.

“You disserve this badge. I just wish I did not have to surrender.” Roxanne told me as she handed me the Stone Badge.

“There is nothing wrong in surrendering. Your Nosepass could no longer battle in the mud. Thanks and Good-by.” I tell Roxanne.

“Good luck” she calls out before she goes into the gym.

I look at the shiny badge in my hand. I could have not done it without Mudkip.

Your doing an excellent job Latias! I can't wait to see more up. I love how there is only water pokemon in this fic. Very unusual and exciting. Keep up the great work!

Chapter 8
The Sandwich Thief
I left Rustboro City happy that I had won my first gym battle. I sighed I got lucky that water was supper effective against rock, but what would I do against Wattson and his electric Pokemon. Luckily that was the third gym.

Then I noticed that I was hungry. I decided to stop and have lunch. I toke out five sandwiches and Mudkip’s and Azuril’s Pokeballs. I ate two sandwiches then handed one to Mudkip and one to Azuril. Mudkip slowly ate it’s sandwich and Azuril gobbled down it’s.

“Dose any one want a second sandwich?” I ask my two Pokemon.

Mudkip shakes it’s head and curls up in a cut little ball. Azuril nods and just before Azuril takes it’s first bite something wraps around the sandwich.

Azuril gets very mad and says “Azuril, Az, Uril.”

Then it opens its mouth and squirts the bushes. Out of the bushes comes a very happy Poliwag. In its tail is the remaining bit of the sandwich. It eats it right in front of Azuril and licks it’s lips. Of course this makes Azuril really mad.

“Azuril” it shouts as it jumps in the air and hits Poliwag with an Iron Tail.

Poliwag counters with a Tail Whip. It swings it tail like a baseball bat and use Azuril tail like it was a baseball. Sending Azuril flying backwards.

“Az” Azuril says as it struggles to get up.

“Are you okay?” I ask my Pokemon.

“Az, Uril, Az,” Azuril tells me as it gets up.

“Good, use Water Gun Azuril” I command.

Azuril opens its mouth and firs a Water Gun strait at Poliwag. Poliwag dose the same. The two Water Guns hit each other pushing the two Pokemon back.

“Azuril slow down Poliwag with bubble” I tell my Pokemon.

Azuril shots out some bubbles and Poliwag dose the same. When the bubbles pop it dose little damage but make both Pokemon a little slower. Then Poliwag swirl on its belly began to turn.

“Don’t look at it,” I told Azuril, but it was to late.

Azuril was snoozing now. I had no other choice, but to use Mudkip.

“Mudkip…” I started to say, but Mudkip shock it’s head before I could finish.

I would have to use a Pokeball. So that is what I did. But when the Pokeball got close to Poliwag it stuck it tail out and started to bounce the Pokeball on its tail.

“No” I yelled.

Suddenly Azuril eyes started to open. Then Azuril jumped threw the air and landed on the other side of Poliwag. Poliwag was to busy playing with the Pokeball to notice. Then its tail began to glow. I toke its glowing tail and whacked Poliwag with it.

“Poli, Poli, Wag?” Poliwag yelled in surprise as its tail sent the Pokeball flying onto its back.

The pokeball closed and started to shake Dong, Dong, Dong, Ping. The Pokeball stopped moving. I ran over to it and picked it up. I released Poliwag from the Pokeball.

“Poli, Poli, Poliwag?” Poliwag asked.

“Hi, I am Wanda your new trainer” I told Poliwag as I held out my hand.

Poliwag looked up at me and happily shook my hand and then the same with Azuril. But when it got to Mudkip it got ignored.

I was happy because now I had my third Pokemon.

Chapter 16-The Friendship may now begin


Chapter 9
Double Battle
Holding Poliwag’s Pokeball made me happy. First getting my badge and now a new Pokemon. I walk along the path searching for a boat so I could go to Dewford Town. I then saw a girl with green hair in a ponytail and a bug catcher clothes.

“Hello, My name is Wanda do you know where I can get a boat?” I ask her.

“Hi, I am Suzie. You can go to Mr. Briney’s Cottage and he will give you a ride. And before you go can we have a double Pokemon battle.” She tells me.

“I double battle?” I ask her.

“It is when you use two Pokemon at once instead of one. Get it.” She explains.

“Ok go Azuril and Poliwag” I say as I release my two Pokemon.

Suzie releases a Beautifly and a Dustox.

“Double Water Gun” I tell my two Pokemon.

Dustox and Beautifly dodge and then they flap their wings really hard creating a Whirlwind. My Pokemon struggle to stay put. Azuril can barley stay put because it is so light. That gives me an idea.

“Poliwag hit Azuril with your tail. Azuril hit Beautifly then Dustox with Iron Tail. Got it.” I tell my Pokemon.

My Pokemon nod and get ready. Then Poliwag hits Azuril over the Whirlwind to where Beautifly is. Smack! Azuril hits Beautifly bonuses off it and goes strait for Dustox and hits it to.

When Azuril lands Poliwag and it blast Beautifly and Dustox with a Double Water Gun. Then they fill the air with bubbles. Then Beautifly flies over them and sprays them with some beautiful golden powder called Stun Spore.

“Can you squirt your selves with water to wash off this stuff off?” I ask my Pokemon.

My Pokemon try their best to nod no. They were paralyzed too much to even do that.

“Give up. We don’t want to hurt your Pokemon when they can’t battle.” Suzie tells me.

“Yes I surren….” I get interrupted by my Pokemon saying they don’t want to stop.

“They want to continue,” I tell Suzie.

“Ok then. Beautifly and Dustox finish them off” Suzie commands.

Beautifly and Dustox get closer and closer and closer. Then Poliwag’s swirl starts turning. The two Pokemon go slower and slower until they collapse on the field. They had fallen asleep and I had won. I run over to my Pokemon thank them and return them to their Pokeballs.

“Your Beautifly and Dustox are well train,” I tell Suzie.

“That was good for a first double battle. Well good-by” Suzie tells me as she walks down the path.

“Good-by” Is my reply.

I go look for Mr. Briney’s Cottage with another battle won.

I seem not to like updating or writing. Here is Chapter 10. I do not like this chapter to much it is also short. Sorry that it is so short. I am just not good with long chapters. After my show I will write more or some time tonight.


Chapter10
Attack on The Seas
I walked up to a little cottage where there was a sign that said: Welcome to Mr. Briney’s Cottage. I will take you on a boat ride to Dewford Island or Slateport. This is all free. This was the right cottage I opened the door and walked inside.

“Young lady are you here for a ride? If so to where?” an old voice asked me.

“I want to go to Dewford for a gym battle and my name is Wanda” I tell him.

“Well come this way Wanda and you to Peeko” Mr. Briney told us as he led us to an area where you keep boats.

Mr. Briney pressed a button and out of the water came a boat that looked just like Peeko! A Wingull boat!

“Wow! It’s amazing! Where did you get it?” I said out loud.

“I made this boat myself. Peeko inspired to make it. Lets get going” Mr. Briney told me.

We got on and we were off. I decided to let out all three of my water Pokemon. Out came Azuril, Poliwag and Mudkip. Azuril and Poliwag played with Peeko, but Mudkip just stood there.

“You got a shy Mudkip there Wanda” Mr. Briney informed me.

I was about to reply when Peeko chirped “Wing, Wing, Wingull”

I ran over to see what it was Carvanha and Sharpedo.

“Mr. Briney, it is Carvanha and Sharpedo,” I told Mr. Briney.

“Well attack them” was his reply.

“Attack?” I ask.

“Get Poliwag to put them to sleep with Hypnoses and have the others power the boat with Water Gun” he tells me.

I watch as Peeko, Azuril and Mudkip fire Water Gun at the water. I know Poliwag’s swirl is twirling. I just don’t want to see and fall asleep. I see the Carvanha and Sharpedo are fading away in the distant.

“Your plan work I tell him as I see Dewford Island before us.

I get out of the boat return my Pokemon to their Pokeballs and thank Mr. Briney.

“Aw it was nothing. To get to Slateport take one of the bigger boats there. Well good-by” he says as he drives off.

I wave as I walk along the path. I decided I would go swimming tomorrow and do the gym battle the day after.

Chapter 11
The Cave to Explore
I run out of the Pokemon Center. The sun shone brightly across my face. It was a beautiful day. I wore a light blue one piece-bating suit with a dark blue water droplet on it. In my hand there was a white towel and a red umbrella I borrowed from the Pokemon Center.

When I got to the beach I placed the towel on the ground put up the umbrella and look at the view. It was amazing. The sky so blue with white puffy clouds in it. The rich blue sea gently came along the beach or roughly hit the rocks. It was a perfect place for my water Pokemon.

“Come enjoy the weather Mudkip, Azuril and Poliwag.” I yell as I throw three Pokeballs.

My Pokemon seem overjoyed when they see the beach. I tell them they can go off and play. Azuril and Poliwag run to the water, but Mudkip stays wear it is and curls up into a ball and goes to sleep. I take off my shoes and lie down on my beach towel and go to sleep to.

Wanda, Wanda the crowed cheers me on. I am at the final battle of the Hoenn league tournament. All I have on the field is my Swampert and my opponent has only a Walrein. Both Pokemon launch a Hydro Pump and….

I wake up from my wonderful dream when Azuril and Poliwag squirt me with Water Gun.

“Guys why did you do that?” I ask them in a sleepy tone.

My Pokemon pull on my arm. They must have wanted me to go somewhere so I got up. They started to run and I ran after them. Soon Mudkip was fallowing us. We finely stopped when we reached a cave. Azuril and Poliwag went in and I was about to go in when Mudkip let out a whine.

“You scared of the cave Mudkip? If so do you want me to carry you?” I ask Mudkip.

Mudkip looked up at me uncertainly then in the cave where Azuril and Poliwag were patiently waiting. Mudkip turned back to me and nodded. I picked up Mudkip and walked inside the cave. It was a rocky cave, but the dirt on the ground felt cool and nice on my bare feet. I had left my shoes at the beach.

We walk far into the cave. We stop to see a bunch of Aron munching on some rocks. They were cute little Pokemon with steel armor over their body. There was one bigger and less cute one looking around as it ate.

“A Lairon” I whispered to my Pokemon.

The Lairon looked at me when it heard that. It growled and started to slowly get closer to us. My Pokemon and me did not move an inch. I didn’t think that this Lairon would attack. It was just checking us out. I was right after seeing we were not trying to harm it and its friends it turned around and was about to leave us alone when Mudkip squirted it with a Water gun. Mudkip meant no harm it was just scarred so it attacked.

“LAARRIIOONN” Lairon yelled very loud.

It was mad very mad. It started to run towards us. My Pokemon and me ran and ran and ran until we crashed into a young man. He looked like a young man. I was not 100% sure on this. He was kind of cute with his light blue hair and a yellow top and black pants.

“Why are you running, young lady?” He asked me.

“Wild Lairon sir” I tell him.

The young man grabs my sweaty hand and leads my Pokemon and me to the end of the cave.

“Will Lairon fallow us?” I ask him.

“Nope it wont and my name is Steven Stone,” he says as he puts out his hand.

“My name is Wanda,” I tell him as I shake his hand.

We both go different ways. I go to the beach grab my stuff and return my Pokemon. I stop and look at the beautiful orange, red, yellow, pink and blue sunset covering the sky.

When I get to my room in the Pokemon Center I lie down on my bed. Today was interesting and tomorrow I will try to get my second badge. Second badge I thought before I drifted off to sleep.

Excellent job Latias! Very interesting chapter and I loved the dreaming sequence of her and Swampert. Let's hope this fic can get that far! I can't wait for the next chapter, the title really makes me wonder...

Thanks KCash. You got me to finish Chapter 17. One of my best Chapters yet. It is when Wanda bettles Wattson. I will try to get up that chapter soon, but I am very buzy. Oh well I just made the title for chapter 18. It is The Lost Wingull.



Chapter 12
The Test of Power I ran out of the Pokemon Center to be blinded by the bright light. I shade my eyes with my hands and looked for the gym. After walking in the blazing sun for about one whole hour I reached the gym. I reach for the door and open it. I look around there dose not seem to be anyone there. I was going to leave when I felt the cool air from the air conditioner.

“I wonder if the gym leader is around?” I ask the empty gym.

I sit down on a bench and wait for something to happen. Then door opens and two teenagers in batting suits walk in.

The guy with this blue funky hair and a weird accent says “What are you doing here little dude?”

Little dud? I wonder.

“Um I’m here for a gym battle,” I say trying to act normal.

“Wait one minute,” he says as him and his friend walk out of the room.

When him and his friend came back he was wearing an orange T-shirt and blue pants. The other guy was wearing a ref uniform.

The gym leader walked up to me shook my hand and says “Hi I’m Brawly the gym leader here.

“I’m Wanda of Littleroot Town,” I tell him.

We both go to one end of the normal battlefield.


“The challenger Wanda from Littleroot Town and the gym Leader Brawly. Will have a 2 on 2 Pokemon Battle. May the fight for the Knuckle Badge begin” The ref shouted.

Brawly and me threw are Pokeballs onto the field. Out pops on my side my Azuril and on his side a Machop.

“Azuril hit it with some Water Guns” I yell.

Machop dodges all 7 Water Guns. Azuril is getting tiered, but jumps into the air with its tail glowing and hits Machop in the face. It dose not do much damage and Machop grabs Azuril and throws it.

“Az” Azuril says as it hits the hard battlefield.

I then remember that I can switch Pokemon so I grab Azuril’s Pokeball and return it. Then I take out Poliwag’s Pokeball and throw it. Out comes Poliwag ready to battle. Poliwag starts out by squirting its Bubble Attack into the air.

“Hypnoses Attack Poliwag” a yell as Poliwag’s swirl starts to swirl.

“Keep your eyes close Machop” Brawly yells out.

The bubbles start to pop that annoys Machop so for one second Machop opens its eyes and sees the Hypnosis attack.

“No Machop. While your still awake hit it with a Focus Punch” Brawly yells.

Machop struggling to stay awake runs at Poliwag with a glowing fist. Poliwag tries to dodge the attack and can’t. Bam! Machop hit Poliwag hard and is about to do it again when it dozes off.

“Machop is no longer able to battle so Poliwag wins,” the ref shouts.

“Machop return and come out Makuhita” Brawly yells as he returns Machop and sends out a Makuhita.

“Use as many Water Guns as you can” I tell Poliwag.

Poliwag squirts and squirts and squirts, but Makuhita just stands there. Poliwag is starting to get tiered of using its Water Gun so it uses Bubble. Then its swirl on its belly starts to swirl.

“Come on Makuhita. Just ignore the bubbles and attack with a Focus Punch” Brawly tells Makuhita.

The bubbles start to pop, but Makuhita just runs at Poliwag with a glowing fist. The first time Poliwag gets hit but the second time Poliwag dodges and lands right behind Makuhita. Then Poliwag uses Water Gun to slam Makuhita into the wall.

“Makuhita!” Brawly yells as he watches Makuhita struggle to its feet.

“Makuhita” Makuhita replies as it rolls to its side of the feel.

Makuhita and Poliwag are both out of breath. They run into each other. Both Pokemon are send flying and a lot of sand to.

“Poliwag!” I yell.

“Makuhita!” Brawly yells.

The sand clears and we see that both of are Pokemon have fainted so we returned them to their Pokeballs.

“Poliwag and Makuhita are no longer able to battle. Because Brawly has no more Pokemon left and Wanda has one left the challenger Wanda has won.”

Brawly walked up to me and smiled.

“Hey, little dude it looks like you won. Here take the Knuckle Badge and have good luck” Brawly says as he hands me the badge.

Good-by a say as I walk out the gym with the Knuckle badge in my hand.

Chapter 13
The Storm with Rare Pokemon
As I walk out of the gym I notice it is much colder outside. The wind blows against me strongly. When I make it to the harbor I hear last passengers aboard for the boat to Slateport.

The big boat is about to leave when I shout, “Stop!”

The boat stops and I get on. As soon as I get on the boat it gets going. The boat rocks back and forth as I head to my room. In my room I let out all three of my Pokemon. Then I look around my room. It is a small room with a cozy bed. There is a bookshelf with dusty old books, a chair and a clean garbage can.

I look out the window. There the great blue waves crash against the boat making it rock. The sky is starting to turn gray. Then there was some splashing from far away. Then a blue serpent like Pokemon came out. It came closer to the ship and was flying at the same speed of the ship. I looked at it closely and noticed what it was.

“A Dratini!” I yell.

Dratini had a blue on the top of its body and white on the bottom. It had a big white nose, white wing on the side of its head and a white dot on its forehead. It wore around its neck a black bracelet with very dark blue crystals on it.

It flew near are window, smiled and was off. All it left was a splash in the water. I sighed and then remembered the deck of the boat where I could search for Dratini.

“I am going to the deck” I tell my Pokemon as I run out the door of my room.

They give me puzzle looks, but that those not stop me. I make it to the deck, but it is very windy and big storm clouds cover the sky.

“Dratini where are you?” I yell into the dark space before me.

To my surprise Dratini hears me. It jumps out of the water and flies near me. I am amazed to see such a rare creature out here. I was also wondering where it got that bracelet and why was it wearing it?

“Drat!” Dratini yells as a flash of lighting appears in the sky.

“Wait!” I shout as Dratini jumps into the sea.

Suddenly it starts to rain hard. It is pretty hard to see, but I still mange to see to figures in the sea. One has bumps on its back, a long tail and two wings. It looks like a Lugia!The other one has gigantic blue fins. The only Pokemon that I can think of that looks like that is Kyogre! Then another flash of lighting passes threw the sky and the two Pokemon are gone.

I am now sitting on my bed. I am soaked and freezing from the rain. I got some blankets from someone. I look at the bookshelf and see a title that catches my eye. It is called Legends of the Sea. I open the book and turn to a page that catches my eye again.


There are two Pokemon of the sea. Lugia a great bird with amazing powers. Kyogre is the controller of rain. Kyogre can make it rain whenever its wish. Even in the driest places. Lugia gets mad when Kyogre makes powerful rainstorms that will last for day. Lugia knows when Kyogre makes rainstorms that will last for days. Lugia and Kyogre will have a fight. If Kyogre wins it will rain for a long time. If Lugia wins the rain will stop. I read this from the book and closed it because my question had been answered and the rain had suddenly had disappeared.
“All passengers off. We have arrived at Slateport,” someone said on the intercom

I retuned my Pokemon before I got off the boat. What a soaking adventure I had.

I am not updating alot. Next Wednesday is the last day of school. Once school is over there is alot more time to write. I am all most finish chapter 18.


Chapter 14
Trying out for a Contest
I was walking down the path. I did not know what I was looking for. I was just walking. I walked by a building that said Pokemon Contest in big letters. Wondering what it is I walked into the building. The it was empty. A lady was sitting at a desk looking over some papers.

I walk up to the desk and ask, “What do you do at a Pokemon contest?”

The lady looks up at me straitens her glasses and tells me “You enter one Pokemon in a Pokemon Contest and the point is to show off your Pokemon’s beautiful moves. If you win you get a ribbon. Dose this make any sense?”

“Yep it doses. May I enter?” I ask the lady.

“Here is a pass, hurry if you want to make it” the lady tells me as she hands me a green pass.

“Thanks” I tell her as I run into the place wear the trainers who are in the contest wait for their turn.

I watch some of the other contestant go they were all good. When they announce my number over the intercom I get up and go to the place wear you get judged. I look around there is an announcer, three judges, the crowd and a nice battlefield.

I then remember I have to use a Pokemon. I quickly grab a pokeball and throw it. Azuril pops out and looks around with a smile on its face.

“Do you know what to do?” I ask Azuril.

Azuril nod and is ready for me to make a command. I then remember that and call out Bubble. Azuril shots out many bubbles all over the field.

“Water Gun” I shout as I was getting use to this new type of battling.

Azuril shots nice Water Guns left, then right and then up.

“Finish this off with Iron Tail” I shout knowing that this attack would be good for my score.

Azuril jumps in the air with its tail glowing. It then swings it around. It then lands and puts on the cutest look I had ever seen. The judges had liked that move I could tell. I wait as the final score appeared on the main screen. 28.2! That was one of the best scores!

Back in the trainer area I looked up to see who I was up against. To my surprise it was a very good friend of mine. Tiff.

I stepped onto the battlefield. On the other side of it Tiff stood. I wondered what Pokemon she was going to use whatever one it was Azuril could beat.

The battle started with 5 minutes on the clock. I sent out my Azuril and she sent out an Azumarill. Azumaril was the fully evolved form of Azuril. It had long ears, a blue body with a white wave at the bottom and white dots above it and a tail with a short ball on the end.

“An Azuril? Against my Azumarill? That is the funniest thing I have ever seen Wanda” Tiff said while laughing.

I ignored this comment and shouted “Azuril Iron Tail.”

Tiff was to busy laughing to notice the incoming Azuril. Azuril hits Azumarill right in the face and Tiff’s points start to go down.

“Azu, Marill, Azumarill” Azumaril shouted as it shots a Water Gun from its mouth.

Azuril easily dodges and Tiff’s point go down some more. Azumarill really angry now starts rolling full speed at Azuril. When Azumarill is close to Azuril, Azuril jumps dodges and comes down on Azumarill hard with an Iron Tail. Tiff’s point goes down and are all gone. I had won without losing one point.

I sat down beside Tiff. Azuril and I had just lost after one Thunder from a Manectric. I put my arm around one of my best friends and tell her that we had a good match.

“Azumarill and I were to angry in that match. We had no chance of winning. You and Azuril are great. That Azuril will make a strong Azumarill some day,” Tiff tells me while tears roll down her check.

“Thanks and I am glad you learned your lessen best friend” I tell her as I get up from the bench.

“So were still friends?” Tiff asks me.

“Of course. Now I better be saying good-by now,” I tell her.

“Good-by” Tiff says as I walk down the path.

She waves to me until I am out of site. It had been some day. I entered my first Pokemon Contest and lost it. Won against my best friend and had a fun day. Azuril was the real champion, but I felt like one to.
