View Full Version : Subsitute breedable?

I've been trying to breed a Male Lickitung with Subsitute with a Female Larvitar. They are compatible and I've been getting eggs with Larvitars in them, but my question is, is subsitute a move that can be bred onto other pokemon? If so, does anybody know of a chain as to how to get my Subsitute on my Lickitung onto a Larvitar? Thanks in advance.

I don't think Larvitar can learn Substitute as an Egg Move. It can only learn it from the Move Tutor (outside the pen containing Kangaskhan outside the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City) in FireRed/LeafGreen.

don't tutor moves count as TM moves? I'm not too sure.

Well, according to all the main Pokedex's (PE2K, Serebii, Psypokes), Larvitar cannot learn it through breeding.
