Pokemon XP

Due to the extream lack of responce, i've decided to update the first post of this thread with some new stuff and updates. Hopefully that would spur people to actually post 0_o

Right, once i got the hang of useing RPG Maker XP i decided to start afresh and keep the locations in the same style as other Pokemon Game, that way things won't get too complex. I've got an idea set in my mind as to what i want to happen and what i want each location to have. Next you'll see several screen shots of key areas in my game...

This is a screenshot of you home village which you get to via boat (lower down) Very simple place, nothing too complex.

This shot show the option menu that will be used throughout the game, with help of a script i found online im in the process of perfecting this

This is the 3rd location you'll reach known as "BlackWood", still fairly a fairly simple place, but also the first gym you'll come across ;)

One of the new buildings that will crop up in Pokemon XP. Union Station is roughly based on the one in Pokemon Crystal but enlarged to be more like Kings Cross london XD

And finally the New Region Map that i created, this is to help me plot the routes and locations. I decided that the area needed a large ice area, and so i put in an island :p

Very nice. I use RPG Maker XP myself, but I'm no good at it. ^_^' I can't wait to see the battle system and more screenshots!

Also, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get the Charset of the Emerald hero?

I downloaded hte free version of rpg maker, so i can't add the things that take you to different maps. but even though i cant, can you tell me where i can get the sprites to upload onto it to make it look like a pokemon game?

You, Xeno, are simply a perfectly intelligent, smart, and great man. I congratulate you as one of the only people that I've seen to make such an advanced project that has taken much effort to accomplish.

Very nice job. The first town some what reminds me of that one city in Earth Bound. :think:

EDIT: HOLY CRAP, Black Wood might be based on that certain town in a Zelda game!

Sorry for the delayed responce, i've been somewhat pre-occupied.

Thank you for the support, atleast i can see that people are truely interested in my project :)
And in responce to your question stratsrock135, I rip them straight from the Rom (using the visual boy advanced), create my own or get some of the sprites from: http://sprites.fireball20xl.com/nintendo/pokemon/

The difficult thing would be to implement the Battle sequences etc. Since i am very poor at the coding in RPG Maker XP, however im still learning so all is not lost :P

Right New Update:

Sorry for the double post and for the long period since i last updated you all but i have been very busy. But i have some more screenshots and info to share with you all :)

As i mentioned i've been trying to do a re-make of Pokemon Crystal, which i can say i've had a fair amount of success with :) and here are my latest screenshots of the game so-far.

I'm still putting in the base graphics (which i'll need to edit at some point) but i've recoloured alot of the original sprites so the look better :wink:

Ok it's been quite a while since i last posted any information conserning this game but i think its about time i updated you all... I've been looking at replacing some of the sprites with more of the Fire Red ones (since they look nicer) and it has now made the game more inkeeping to the original style of the games...
