DavidUm, please don't rate my team. I have had enough of you at PR already. Please...

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** Snorlax
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 92 HP / 140 Def / 84 Spd / 136 SAtk / 56 SDef
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp

like awesomerz x). It is meant to be something with Shadow Ball's counter. Swampert doesn't really give my team much trouble so meh. Fire Punch seems okay, but doesn't really hurt anything hard. Medicham and other fighters get sorta ruined by W-o-W. My team is Heracross weak, so I had to make my Gar defensive.

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers ** Gengar
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

meh, standard. Swampert counter to be particular, but it is a great bulky water overall. I don't really like Resttalking Milo, since it gives away free set-ups since Sleep Talk is pretty random.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Milotic
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 140 HP / 176 Atk / 16 Spd / 176 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Return

Curselax for my...

Celebi @ Leftovers ** Heracross
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 120 Spd / 72 SAtk / 76 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Reflect

I was testing Reflect actually, it works wonders! Reflecting on the switch to Salamence and co is pretty cool. I recover by Leech Seed + Lefties. T-Tar is used in the end, so it doesn't really mess up my lefties unless the opponent has one.

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** Magneton
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 172 HP / 4 Spd / 252 SAtk / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Surf

Maybe I would use Forry over this, but meh, Milotic doesn't hurt it that much. 4x Ice Resist and 2x Water resist is pretty sexy. Allows free spikes mid game. Zapdos doesn't really like switching into a STAB'd Ice Beam. I really need to work on the EV spread on this.

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers ** Flygon
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 92 HP / 132 Atk / 96 Def / 172 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Rock Slide

DDtar ftw. I don't want to outspeed Raikou and Starmie after a DD btw. This is supposed to be used as my late game sweeper when Starmie usually is long dead. This thing has a lot more vitality than the standard.

The only thing I found that hurts my team a lot is Heracross, nothing else really. I would be looking forward to your rates guys.

Are those the real stats of your pokemon? Cause I have a lv. 100 snorlax and it has 498 hp.
Otherwise its a decent team.

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

I think you should get Psychic in there somewhere, maybe replace Ice Punch

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers ** Gengar
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

If you're willing to breed all over again to get Mirror Coat, do that. Otherwise, this looks good to me.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Milotic
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 140 HP / 176 Atk / 16 Spd / 176 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse

Good

Celebi @ Leftovers ** Heracross
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 120 Spd / 72 SAtk / 76 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Reflect

I'm not good with movesets for legends :P

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** Magneton
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 172 HP / 4 Spd / 252 SAtk / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Surf

Looks fine for me...

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers ** Flygon

EVs: 92 HP / 132 Atk / 96 Def / 172 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Return
- Rock Slide

Return's just my personal suggestion

The only thing I found that hurts my team a lot is Heracross, nothing else really. I would be looking forward to your rates guys.

Well, I'm bad with movesets, but there's my suggestions

Those are the EVs, not the stats. >_>

Don't laugh but what are "Ev's"?

More EVs in a stat give a Pokemon a highers number for that stat. Having tons of EVs in, say, Speed, can give your Pokemon like 100 more Speed than it would have otherwise.

How do you get more Ev's for your pokemon?

celebi
08-14-2006, 05:40 PM
You train them. Also their nature is important.

SiberianTiger
08-14-2006, 05:44 PM
Say you want more EV's for your attack ok? face a pokemon who's best stat is attack this helps your attack most pokemon give you only 1 Ev point and every 4 points gives a bonus point in that stat. go like serebii or something they can explian it better.

dud3

Okay now I know. But how do you know how much extra stats the pokemon is gettting when they level?

You don't know.

But if you have tons of EV's, you'll notice. When I was EV training my Snorlax, he got Speed +25 when he leveled up.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** Snorlax

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch

- Will-O-Wisp

I'd try Explosion over Fire Punch or something. Or, more accurately, I'd switch this for Dusclops. Why is at the bottom of the post.

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers ** Gengar
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

Okay, although tbh I'm not a fan of Milotic on the same team as Tyranitar because Sandstream makes Milotic 2HKOed by CBmence HP Bird. I'd do Swampert here; you look like you have a definite DDtar weak with no Rock resist. Mixpert could also help make switches, which is nice for teams with spikes.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Milotic
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 140 HP / 176 Atk / 16 Spd / 176 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Return

I like more HP but meh. I'd consider some defense, maybe enough defense for 180 or so to make the setup against physical pokes a bit easier but whatever. I find all that attack unnecessary.

Maybe try this spread: 204 HP / 116 Atk / 56 Def / 16 Spd / 116 SDef. Same nature. Gives more HP and leftovers and defense... although if you want your 300 attack stat, stick to your spread.

Celebi @ Leftovers ** Heracross
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 120 Spd / 72 SAtk / 76 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Leech Seed
- Psychic
- Reflect

You need Recover or Celebi just isn't a threat tbh. Choose Calm Mind or Reflect; you can't have both. I'd personally go with Reflect here because it helps your two main sweepers setup nicely and helps stuff switch into emocross but whatever.

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** Magneton
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 172 HP / 4 Spd / 252 SAtk / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Surf

252 HP / 96 Def / 4 Spd / 156 SAtk

Even with 252 SAtk you don't 2HKO enemy 'Clops so I'd just use quite a bit less special attack. You could also borrow from defense and special attack and add to special defense if you want to take Claydol Ice Beams better but they deal almost nothing to you anyways.

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers ** Flygon
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 92 HP / 132 Atk / 96 Def / 172 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power
- Rock Slide

[B]I'd try these EVs: 172 HP / 132 Atk / 32 Def / 172 Spd. Same nature. I'd also consider Ice Beam over Hidden Power Bug. I understand why Hidden Power Bug would be cool (KOing Claydol is fun) but Claydol is also ridiculously easy to counter between Cloyster, Milotic and a ghost. He's

If Heracross is giving you grief and you have the one decent spiker that doesn't fear Magneton, why not use Dusclops over Gengar? Dusclops covers Heracross fairly well iirc and can still absorb Rapid Spin. He can still Will-O-Wisp like Gengar and Pressure forces switches fairly well. RestTalk 'Clops looks like he'd perform well here.

meh, okay. I would change that.

As I said earlier, my Tyranitar is only going to come out very very late game. Tyranitar really doesn't counter any strong attacks, so I don't really use it until some of my pokemon are dead. But, meh I might use Mixpert.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Milotic
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 140 HP / 176 Atk / 16 Spd / 176 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

I actually want this to be a late game sweeper, when Sandstream is probably kicked in, so Lefties won't really matter.

Celebi @ Leftovers ** Heracross
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 120 Spd / 72 SAtk / 76 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Reflect

Almost all the teams out there have either Lax or Blissey, which allows me to recover with Leech Seed. If I get into trouble with CMind and Reflect, I would change my movesets.

Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** Magneton
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 172 HP / 4 Spd / 252 SAtk / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

I might change my EV spread totally. When I do that, I would post it here...

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers ** Flygon
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 92 HP / 132 Atk / 96 Def / 172 Spd / 16 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power

Ice Beam with -pers and no EVs isn't going to hurt much.

If Heracross is giving you grief and you have the one decent spiker that doesn't fear Magneton, why not use Dusclops over Gengar? Dusclops covers Heracross fairly well iirc and can still absorb Rapid Spin. He can still Will-O-Wisp like Gengar and Pressure forces switches fairly well. okay...

Thanks DS, I appreciate it.

I read that a pokemon can have a max of 510 EV's. And the most on one stat is 255 EV's. Causing an extra 64 point increase to a stat being the max increase of that stat.
Is this true?
