...As you check your daily mail, a golden envelope catchs your attention between all the tax bills. Your name is engraved in the front, written with a fine ink feather. You open it slowly just to find a roll of parchment inside it, with the following message:

Greetings and salutations.
As an official gym leader, you have been invited to the Second Edition of the Gym Tournament. This time, 28 gym leaders will compete for the title of the Ultimate Gym Master. Your participation in this tournament is very valuable. Please confirm you participation with our host for this year, Marth.
He will furtherly explain the specific rules for this edition.

Deciding to confirm your participation, you travel to Cerulean City to meet Marth. His secretary recieves you with an ugly grin in her face.
"What did you say your name was? No, I don't know who you are, you're not on the list. See it for yourself!"You take a quick glance at the list she shows you, and you kindly point her your name on it.

She mumbles something about being distracted with so many work, and urges you to pass inside, to where Marth awaits.
You find the Cerulean Gym Leader in the middle of a training session with his gym pokémon.
"Ah, hello there, how was the trip? I hope Mercedes, my secretary, explained you the rules of the tournament already. No? Well, I've got them right here. It's not mandatory to enter, but the prizes are good, trust me!"
He hands you a copy of the rules from a folder he had.


Rules:
-Only Gym Leaders who registrate before the deadline will be allowed to participate.
-Battles will be 3 vs 3, Colluseum, no items, sleep clause, normal terrain. Hold items is optional.
-The final will be a full 6 vs 6 fight, Colluseum, no items, sleep clause, normal terrain, hold items allowed.
-It will be an elimination tournament, you lose, you're out.
-Gym leaders can only use their respective Gym Pokémon. Once the tournament begins, changes in gym are prohibited (except switching rent to own pokémon)
-Kumquat Island, Trovita Island and Navel Island will select 6 Pokémon to use during the whole tournament. For the fights, 3 of those 6 pokémon will be selected before the tournament begins, and they won't be able to use other pokémon than those 3 in the eliminatory matches. For the finals, all 6 pokémon will be used. When you submit your application, you must state which 6 pokémon you will use, and which 3 pokémon out of those 6 pokémon you will use for the eliminatory rounds.
-Prizes will be awarded depending on your gym situation:
If you use rented pokémon, the gym will give you full control over them.
If you don't use rented pokémon, the URPG association will give you 2 Pokémon of your gym type.
-Trovita, Kumquat and Navel Island may select one pokémon with 3 TM's if they own all of their pokémon.
-Have fun. Suggestions and registrations have to be posted here.

Yes, it will be randomized, so a Kanto final, a Johto Final or even a Hoenn final may be the last fight.
However, the brackets will be made depending on the confirmed number of gym leaders.

It's easy. Choose 6 pokémon and post them here. From those 6 pokemon, choose 3.
The group of 3 pokémon will be used for the elimination rounds.
The group of 6 pokémon will be used if you get to the final.

As long as those changes are aproved BEFORE your first fight, they are valid.
Otherwise, you're stuck =P

Young Link: Why should I roll again when I haven't stated that I'm letting a 16th participant inside? I gave five days for confirmation, if you didn't confirm, you're telling me that you will not participate in the tournament. It will stay with 15 participants.

WTP: Since RM's application for switching gyms was posted BEFORE the deadline, the change is valid. Therefore, Violet gym is now the Petalburg gym. I'll ask Husnain to edit the picture accordingly.

If you took the place of the bye gym, you could choose your 3 pokémon that you'll use accordingly to your probable opponents. That's why it was highly important to state your 3 and 6 pokémon before the pairings, so there would be no unfair advantage.

The fact remians, Zark, that you ignored my replies to your posts and never posted your team. Deadline being the 22th means that you have until the 22th to post your pokémon, but not including the 22th. Of course, next time I'll be more specific, since we seem to have different concepts of deadline.
You said you were changing your team. I had no problems with that if the application was made before the deadline, but you didn't post a pre-team.
My timezone is the one of México. Which else would it be? =P

Outside of pe2k volleyball camp at 5am and football pratice at 2pm is har on monday thurday and friday. Than kgoodness volley camp ended yesterday. It;s hard to make to pe2k updatign everything buying new tm's and trying to work with dial-up and 3 angry people. sending you to bed like right atfer you have dinner at 7pm. I rushed this morning to get my form in. I was jsut able to get my schedule sheet on friday. Sat sun power went out so i had littl time at library.

I stated:
Deadline = 22 August. When is the 22 August? 1 second after 11:59:59 of August 21.
That's the deadline, the beginning of the 22 of August. It's a whole period of time that is the deadline.
Before the deadline. Before means "a priori" something happens. By 11:59:59, the deadline hasn't happened yet. By 00:00:00 of August 22, the deadline has happened. Therefore, when I said "before" August 22, I meant before the 00:00.00 of August 22th.
It could mean before 11 59 on august but ONLY if i had said "on" deadline. And I didn't say "on", I said "Before". Stop complaining, you're out, and there's no reason that I should consider you inside.

Tyranitar was switched in. Took an Iron Tail. Arcanine tried to Roar, got KOed from Surf w/Sandstorm damage from the previous turn. Blaziken came in and used Brick Break on an Aerodactyl who was switching in. Tyranitar was switched in again who took a Quick Attack. Brick Break KO'd. In came Aerodactyl, who was KO'd from a Quick Attack while being at 2%.

its called swampert and ludicolo, surprisingly, water has some type diversification, whereas the most electric has is steel/electric and water/electric...thank you nintendo
