Well this is basically my team, which is much better than what i make most of the time:razz: Snorlax and Steelix are my Special and Physical Wall respectively and Weezing is there to take hits Steelix cant. It can also Haze, which is a plus. I have noticed that my team have some problems against Gengar, Bulky Water and Spikes so i would greatly appreciate it if you could give me a few suggestions. Boah there is to kill SkarmBliss. I will not take out Steelix nor Kingdra, they need the love. If it is not much for a trouble i only use first and second generation pokemon (R/B/Y and G/S/C) as ima sucka for Gold sprites, as long as it is not a uber i do not mind if its a legendary. Thank you for your time and patience!

Meh. I never really liked this, simply for the fact that loses to other waters, and every team has a special sponge. If you're keeping this, though, don't lead with it, since most common leads beat this anyway

Steelix (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP/216 Atk/46 Def
Impish (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roar
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Explosion

I'm not sure if blowing up your normal resist is a good idea, btw

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/68 Spd/188 SAtk
Quiet (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Crunch
- Thunderbolt

Boah is quite outdated and doesn't do much in this metagame with all the swamperts/milotics going around. I'd stick to DDtar or Cbtar

Snorlax (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 20 HP/176 Atk/136 Def/176 SDef
Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Rest
- Return
- Shadow Ball

I'd lose some def/Atk for more Hp

Weezing (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 196 HP/60 Atk/252 Def
Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Haze
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Pain Split

Impish nature

Aerodactyl (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Jolly (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Earhquake
- Rock Slide
- Hidden Power [Flying]

Adamant > Jolly. Lead with this

Cb metagross causes some problems; Steelix is your safest switch and dies to 2 EQs, while kingdra dies to easily without Def Evs. Losing Kingdra for a pure water would really help with this, as well as adding a decent swampert counter

Kingdra (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 6HP/126 def/252 SAtk/126 SDef
Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)

Lost the HP and add the EVs to defenses. YOu get way better defenses this way.

Steelix (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP/64att/48 def/154 sp.def
Impish (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roar
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Explosion
why explode

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 86HP/252 att/172 speed
adamant (atk +, sp.att -)
- dragon dance
- taunt
- earthquake
- rock slide
Use DD tar.

Snorlax (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 156HP/64att/136 def/154 sp.def
Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Rest

EVs: 196 HP/60 Atk/252 Def
impish (+def,-sAtk)
- Haze
- Will-O-Wisp

- Pain Split

Aerodactyl (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Jolly (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge

Changes are in bold. Like elidibs said, this team has a swampert problem. suicune owns you when your snorlax dies. get rid of kingdra for suicune/

Alright then, i changed my team. I replaced Kingdra with:

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/212 Def/44 Spd
Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Roar
- Surf

and Steelix with:

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP/148 Def/24 Spd/96 SAtk
Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Leech Seed
- Recover
- Psychic

Now i've got a question, how do i counter Heracross? That thing could at least 2HKO most of my pokes. This is my new team, what do u think?

If Aero survives it can easily OHKO a no Defense/Hp Ev'd Heracross with Hp [Flying].

Yeah but the problem is if Aerodactyl switch in on Heracross it would usually get 1HKO so the only way for me is to sacrifice a poke but then they'll just switch to a physical wall and force me to switch out.

hp flying beats heracross, watch out for reversal

Fossil Fusion

If you are using Weezing it could counter Heracross in a way :/

Elidibs
08-20-2006, 08:40 PM
you don't have a heracross weak with weezing in your team

David Um

but weezing can't switch into megahorn/reversals all day.

correct me if I'm wrong, but skarmory is a better counter to heracross than weezing.

weezing switches easily on heracross, as it takes ~20% from megahorn, 3hkos with sludge bomb and stays healthy with pain split

skarmory, on the other side, gets 2hkod by focus punch

Weezing is only used as a physical tank because of Heracross imo. Haze, meh, is also one of the reasons.

salamence, curselax (even last pokemon), any fighting type, marowak, ground types, all lose to weezing

but yea, weezing is only used for heracross

Ok, thanks for all the helps! Now is there anything else i should note? Or is it good enough?

pretty good but your attacks could use some work

You're wrong. Skarmory takes that Focus Punch like a wuss whereas Weezing can actually live through more than two of them.

Weezing also can keep itself plenty healthy with liberal use of Pain Split.

Barring Facade, Weezing will beat Heracross easier than Skarmory.

David Um

elidibs told me that. but most heracross counters I've seen are skarmories. but from what I've hearing, weezing makes a better counter I suppose.

Even if Heracross can 2HKO most of your Pokemon, it can't really switch in on much. Suicune's surf even without CM's does around 35%, and it can't switch in on those all day. Celebi will put a pretty big dent in that mofo. Aerodactyl lols at it with hp:flying. It'll make an easy switch on boah though, but those thunderbolts will still hurt. You also have the ttar sandstorm going so heracross really won't last long against your team. If they manage to start with it, it would be a problem. No one does though because of salamence//zapdos.

D.Um, you're forgetting the fact that suicune can't do anything to snorlax at all, besides roar it away. Heracross is one of the few things that can nail snorlax hard, and it can barely switch in on anything.

Tyranitar (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/68 Spd/188 SAtk
Quiet (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Crunch
- Thunderbolt

Okay, but I think DDtar would work better here.

Snorlax (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 20 HP/176 Atk/136 Def/176 SDef
Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Rest
- Return
- Shadow Ball

Needs much more HP and much less attack. Lead with this.

Weezing (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 196 HP/60 Atk/252 Def
Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Haze
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Pain Split

Okay.

Aerodactyl (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Jolly (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Double-Edge
- Earhquake
- Rock Slide
- Hidden Power [Flying]

I hate JollyDactyl but that's just me. I'd go Adamant.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/212 Def/44 Spd
Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Roar
- Surf

I'd do Swampert here because CBtar looks like it could throw a temper tantrum and rape everything here with Rock Slide (and HP Bug Celebi to death). CBtar outruns this, btw, and CB Rock Slide 3HKOs 'Cune, meaning 'Cune can only come in one time in safety. It's either that or I recommend the resttalk route and you continue to go without a rock resist (which is fine sometimes but CBtar really does a number on this team).

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP/148 Def/24 Spd/96 SAtk
Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Leech Seed
- Recover
- Psychic

Ugh. I hate CM Celebi when it's not doing anything with its boosts. tbh Celebi seems like it was arbitrarily thrown here. If you're keeping boah than you could make this a CMpasser, I guess, but an SDpasser with Shadow Ball would probably be better because Jirachi looks like it could be a potential pest. And it would help setup Snorlax and DDTar. It's either that or you go the heal bell route.

You will have issues with spikes due to having no rapid spinner and having 2 pokemon Skarmory can come in on with impunity (Snorlax and Weezing). Skarmory also gets a relatively easy switch into Celebi and a reasonably easy switch into Aerodactyl (provided it doesn't take too many Rock Slides).
