How do you get both the items to get huntail and gorbyess in emarald? Or can you?

all i know is you get one when you find the scanner.

To get them, go to that wrecked ship, find the thing that Stern needs, and when you return the part Stern needs, he'll offer you to chose between the Tooth (Huntail) or Scale (Gorebyss).
