An all-water Pokemon team... within twelve Months?!

Okay here's the deal, last christmas, I met up with my best friend in a family reunion. He promised me a much-coveted Jirachi carrying the PokeRus (yes, he cheated.) if I could singehandedly raise a team that only has a specific pokemon type (Something like a Gym Leader) and beat his well balanced team of level fifties by the time christmas rolled around again.

True to my favourite pokemon, I chose water. Now I'm in tons of trouble! My best friend (Oh, that scheming little runt!) has gotten word from my sister of my new 'Stereotype team' and is raising a Magneton and a Tropius to counter my water-based ambitions!

That's where you come in! With Christmas soon upon me, I have below, a list of water pokemon which I have caught. Tell me which should I train and which should stay in my PC to collect dust. (Oh - and while you're at it, would you be so kind to rate my team's nickanmes too...?);

Well I'm going to make a very long speech about this. For one your nick names are cool. Secondly Castform/Azuramill/Corphish/Wailmer/Whiscash/Speal suck. Your Marshtomp is better than Whiscash. I've decided to wip up some movesets for you to help crush that maggy and tropi which are quite frankly easy as hell to destroy.

Gyradoss:AdamantNature@Leftovers
Ev's:252Atk/252Spd/6Hp
Earthquake
DragonDance
HiddenPower[Flying]/Icebeam
Taunt

This guy can help nock down that Maggy by a few peg's. Maggy can't take Earthquakes for sh*t. If you can;t get Hp Flying get Icebeam. Sure Gya has low Sp.Atk but Gya can switch into Tropious easily and Icebeam it do death. Taunt is there just to mess his Baton Passer up.

Swampert:BraveNature@Leftovers/ChestoBerry
Ev's:252Atk/200Hp/58Sp.Atk
Curse
Earthquake
Icebeam
Rest

This my young friend is Cursepert. This guy can easily park is ass on Maggy and Curse up (unless it has Hp Grass). Icebeam handles Salamence and hits Tropious were it hurts.

Vaporeon:BoldNature@Leftovers
Ev's:252Hp/200Def/56Sp.Def
Surf
Batonpass
Wish
Substitute/AcidArmor

This here is Baton Passing Vaporeon. This thing can Batonpass like no other. It can also take hits.

Kyogre:ModestNature@Leftovers
Ev's:252Sp.Atk/252Spd/6Hp
Thunder
Surf
Icebeam
CalmMind/Rest

This is going to be a big guy in your team. Kyo can rip apart alot of things. It also makes Rain pour which will help you.

Kingdra:QuietNature/Leftovers
Ev's:252Sp.Atk/100Atk/152Hp
HiddenPower[Fighting/Dragon]DragonBreath
Surf
Icebeam
Toxic

It gets double the spd thanks to Rain. Blissey's don't like gettting hit with a Hp Fighting. If you get Hp Dragon your lucky. Toxic hurts alot of things.

Milotic:BoldNature@Leftovers
Ev's:200Def/252Hp/56Sp.Atk
Surf
Icebeam
Recover
Hypnosis

Self explanitory. If you have any questions feel free to ask  .

I already did. Feel free to give them movesets... Bare in mind it's in game and will only be used in link battles against my friends... No Tournaments.

Woah! It's a great moveset, I'm keeping Baldor and D.J for sure! You're really talented!

I'm worried about the Kingdra and the Vaporeon, my LeafGreen's glitching right now and I don't want ot risk it by transferring them to Emerald. Do you have an ideas for replacements of those?

And what are your views on a Lombre, Chinchou or a Pelipper? (And my friend let me choose one non-water pokemon to be on the team, so I figured I'd use the Castform.) Not to mention Feebas are murder to find, is there a guide to catching them? I can't get any at all!

Lanturn is a good mon. Here's a annoying moveset.

Lanturn:ModestNature@Leftovers
Ev's:252Sp.Atk/252Spd/6hp
Confuse Ray
Substitute
Icebeam
Thunderbolt

This guy is a beast. No Surf but w/e. Can I get a few mintues to think up some other movesets for the mons you want?

It's okay,

Take your time and think up! I'm in no hurry, so you just relax! Thanks for the idea, Lanturn's a must-have *runs to evolve Chinchou*

Just one more question, I can't seem to get enough leftovers for an entire team, will Shell Bells fit the bill?

Sure why not. Add some Lum berries for status conditions. I'm kinda stuck on the mons you should use X_X.

I would see lombre as a good choice...IF you have a Water Stone to evolve it to a Ludicolo.Give it Surf, Ice Beam, Strength/Brick Break, and Giga Drain. Drop the Pelipper.:susp:
However, if your friend will let you use one non-water type, DROP Castform...it sucks.

Stick a weak pokemon in there as your first, and then he will underestimate your power!

That still makes you one pokemon shorter than if you just come out fighting.Remember, you can't use items in link battles. Now, I wouldn't start with my BEST pokemon, but I wouldn't start with a weak one, either.Besides, he knows she's going to fight with LV 50's.

Oh Yeah... Stink... Make your Pokemon Hold Sitrus Berries or Heal Bells. They work in Link Battles. The pokemon will heal themselves!

No, Caisy, no...

I think Lanturn's far more annoying with thunder wave instead of substitute. Parafusion reduces the chances of a hit to.. something low. You're a mug if you pass that up, even ingame. It's the only reason for Lanturn's existence.

u can try this 4 lombre (ludicolo) n chinchou (lanturn)

Ludicolo (leftovers)
leech seed
protect/substitute
toxic
surf/gigadrain

lanturn
thunderwave
confuse ray
double team/substitute/thunderbolt/thunder
thunderbolt/thunder/surf/hydro pump

Pelipper (i've never use one, so i dunno what to do with this guy)

other nice water types IMO r tentacruel, blastoise, starmie, poliwrath, slowbro, lapras, octillery, gorebyss, omastar, feraligatr, walrein n relicanth, so as u can see, there r plenty of water types 4u to choose. BTW, i wouldn't use kyogre, well... it's just that i've never like to use legendaries in a PVP battle, but it's up to u

Stick with miloticmaster's sets they are very good and work to the pokemon advantages, for feebas just surf under the bridge and fish in every tile I have 3 from 3 games so don't worry, and vapor is a great pokemon and might be worth the risk to trade.

plus all of your pokemon's water type moves will get boosted by 50% because of drizzle

Thanks, I'm not an uber user and I never will be. But, now that you think of it, Kyogre does seem like a good idea.

I'm sticking to MiloticMaster's moveset for the Kyogre, too.

Meh... I'm going to provide a list of Water Pokemon I would use, and you can decide if it works for you.

Kyogre (an Essential Water Pokemon), Gorebyss/Starmie (Both work good with Psychic attacks), Gyarados (Works good with Flamethrower), Lanturn (Needed for its Electric), Ludicolo (Needed because of its Grass, and its Ice Beam...), and Kingdra/Sharpedo/Relecanth (A Dragon or a Dark Pokemon is for good measure; Relicanth is there encase you know your friend likes Pokemon who like the ground.). And if your friend decides saying uber's aren't allowed, switch off to using Kingdra, since it's only primary weakness is Dragon.

I'm not to good with movesets though... sorry if I'm not of complete help.

Lanturn with Sub is a bish. My guess is you never battled against one of them. Flamer on Gya is a no go. If your not gonna be able to use Kyo use Starmie.

Starmie:ModestNature@Leftovers
Ev's:252Sp.Atk/252Spd/6.Sp.Atk
Surf
Icebeam
Thunderbolt
Psychic

Here's another version for ya :D.

~RapidSpin
~Recover
~Surf
~Psychic/Thunderbolt

Keep the same nature and Ev spread. Rapid Spin is to mess with Skarms.

I can't get any at all!

if you can use 1 non water use rayquaza!
he kills

for the Non-water pokemon, i would suggest something that would counter grass or electric, (ground, fire(only for his troupius) )
