Ruby Trading

Hey im new to this forum so sry if i put this in the wrong place.

ok can u trade pokemon from ruby or saphire to gold or silver? And what about ruby or saphire to blue or red? is that actually possible? Ok sry if thats a stupid question but hey i dont know. and if u can, cna u use a regular old link cable liek for a gameboy or do u need a new one or something. cuz it wont let me in my game.

You can't trade at all to the old gameboy colour games. R/S/E are only compatible with the gameboy advance generation pokemon games (also with pokemon diamond and pearl when they are released)
