About three hours a night when the term is in full swing. More when you add coursework and then revision.

I haven't even started school yet, but after the first week, I'll probably have about an hour of homework each night.

My school starts next tuesday, but I usually have around 3 to 4 hours of homework. On good days, I have a minimum of one hour. Bad days can add up to 6 hours:cry:

HA! I only have about an hour a night maximum. Plus, we get time in school to do it! Usually, though, I have about a half an hour. (Yes, I am in a higher grade than 5th grade... 7th.)

My teachers will sometimes assign no homework for a couple days, then give us all-night homework where it's only possible to finish it if we don't go to sleep.

Since Im an idiot and took 3 college classes in my junior year I have alot of homework

for anyone who doesnt know AP - Advance Placement or college class

1st period - English honors - maybe 2 a week, not much more than 20 minutes

2nd period - AP American History - read a chapter a night and highlight the chapter (something I dont do causing my to fail everything) this would take about 2 hours itself

3rd period - Forensic Science (college class) - big 5 page packet of work once a week

5th + 6th period - AP Biology - 100 vocab words that takes about about 6 front and back pages (1 page = front and back, so I have 12 sides) never gonna try to get it done in a day but would take about 3- 4 hours

8th - Pre Calculus Honors - no real homework, but I do it to make sure I know it, so 5--10 problems a night

9th - Japanese - nothing ^-^

I hate reading, the only time I like reading in school was for chemistry (I got a 101 in honors chemistry ^-^) or if we are reading a cool book in English

I have too little. Weird fact: I came from Centerville, VA, a 6th grade elementary student, because Fairfax county does preschool through 6th grade, now I am in Loudon County, where I am confused in the middle of Middle School, 7th grade, and I have never had homework in Science before. Some people say there is no such thing as homework in P.E., but in Centerville, I had homework. This is a weird story! First, at my elementary school, I am a popular, funny, weatherman on the school news, now, I am in a Middle School, unpopular. I wasn't one of those popular kids that had a clique and all, but was hated by most 6th graders, and some 5th graders. Plus, teachers pet all the way! In my school, blocks are persiods, and have 4 blocks per day, in this order:

1st Block: Family and Consumer Sciences : no homework
2nd Block: Math : 1 sheet per day
3rd block: L.A. : Sometimes one thing, sometimes nothing
4th block: P.E. : No homework

Next day

5th block: Band (Clairenet) : Practice
6th Block: History : Rare occasion homework
7th block: L.A. : See 3rd block
8th block: Life Science : Usually, one sheet per week.

Dude, we have way too much homework, every subject each day plus the weekends, so it takes me like the whole night to do it and I ususaully finished at 8:30 PM, how good is that I just wish we don't have a lot of homework!

I almost no homework each day. Here, it's the good life. Unfortunatly, I don't really remember to do homework, because I hate practicing the Clairinet! I only want to do it when I want to play something like concert music. I have to practice Agone, African Bell Carol, and Haunaka Begins tonight. African Bell Carol is like the one that goes by half notes, if you have ever played it. The real one usually heard is called Ukrainian Bell Carol or something like it. Plus:

60 minutes of practicing or higher A+
45-60 A
40-44 B
35-39 C
34- D

Fortunately, there is no F's as long as I turn one in with zero minutes or 1-30 minutes. No slip, F! Slip w/ no practice or 1-34, D. 35+, decent grade. Get it now?

I wish I could go back to the days when all I had to do every night was practice my flute. Now I have hours of homework a night. Its not even that I have a lot of actual problems or worksheets or anything but that they all take so darn long. Like physics problems can take 15 min per problem or longer, and I still haven't gotten into anything very advanced.

And AP history, have fun with that. Is it AP US History? I had that class last year and it was hell for me, mainly becuase I suck at history and the teacher was as hard as they come at my school. I still managed to pass the AP exam though. =)

same here! they go for days with no homework, and then they just give a burst of it! mostly since I am a genius, I dont have any, but sometimes, it takes, 45 min (once a week)
and sometimes it takes 4-5 hours+ (once a month). I never bother studying. I know I could probably do better if i did, but i am happy with my 4.6 gradepoint average

Junior year has a LOT of homework in store. Like we had our Health Break for a week and our teacher assigned us three projects.
And just recently we had:
-two essays in Filipino
-answers to our two-page guide questions of World History
-a play about a family in Health
-ionic bond exercises in Chem
-thesis statements for Grammar
The sad part? They were all due the next day. :dazed:
