Story

It’s the year 2006, and meteorologists are puzzled by the sudden storm clouds hovering above the world. Unusual phenomenons have been taking place all over the world. Snow in the Sahara and temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius in the Artic circle. Scientists have tried to label these events as a result of global warming, but the figures don’t add up.

Suddenly, during one of the many lighting storms, people start to disappear. As physicists all around the world try to comprehend what happened, one single soul knows the truth.

Doctor Alexander Vangze, the twenty year old prodigy, has an explanation. On the very exact moment of the disappearances, the earth’s magnetic flux field was momentarily lifted. Using the most advanced theories and equipment, he seems to be able to prove the correctness of his dimensional theories.

However, just as he flies to Geneva to speak to the international scientific society, his plane gets struck by weird lighting. Doctor Vangze disappears, but the plane lands completely unharmed. Was this foul play, or was Doctor Vangze hiding a deep dark secret?

As for the other disappeared people, no one knows where they have been taken to.

Mission

The disappeared people have been scattered all over the Pokemon world. They have no memory of what happened to them, other than a bright flash of light surrounding them. [They still remember their past, but this is optional. Amnesia’s always fun to RP]

You’ll find 3 red and white balls containing a creature (Pokemon) on the ground next to you, and a reddish device in your pocket. After you open the red device an email message pops up.

Welcome Earthlings,

I have brought you here to rescue our world from danger. My name is Alexander Vangze, and I ask of you that you don’t have any grudges against me. I am deeply sorry for taking you away from your trusted environments, but if my world falls, yours will fall along.

Now, here’s my request. Scattered around this world are precious gems, but they are very well hidden. Each of these gems contains a power unrelated to human capabilities. If all or even a few of these gems are combined, the person will receive abilities beyond comprehension.

However, a dark organization called ReFiCul has also heard of the existence of these gems. You are hereby given the task to beat them to the punch. All of you have been given a communication device, which is also a recognition symbol. You can all recognize each other by these red devices you hold in your hand.

Attached to this message is a list of all the gems, and if known their current location. You must hurry and keep a low profile. We will be in contact.

Godspeed and good luck,

Alexander Vangze.

Man, when the hell did transdimensional rides become this bumpy!

Standing up, I noticed that I had landed in the exact same spot as 4 years earlier. Not another deja vu again? I patted the dirt off my suit, stood up, brushed my shoes clean as well, and began to look around. Same trees, same pesky insects, and the same fresh air. Yep, this was the Pokemon world alright.

"Alex!" a voice shouted. I knew who that was. Who else could it be?

"Hiya, Robyn!" I called back. The chocolate brown haired girl waved her hands frantically as she came hopping toward me.

"Good to see you again, though the circumstances could be better," she said. "You prolly want an explanation, so read this." She shoved the dark red Pokedex in front of my eyes. Speed reading through the message, my heart rate accelerated.

"Don't tell me it's him again," I moaned. My dad had been plotting my fall for like 15 years straight.

"Nope, this doesn't seem like something Kenneth would do."

"Where's Xander?" I asked, looking for a sign of my dimensional doppelganger.

"He was right behind me when I last checked," Robyn said, looking around. "Oh, there he is. He hasn't been working out lately, so he's kinda slow."

"Hey, Alex," a tired Xander sighed. His jet black hair dripped in front of his eyes with sweat. "I'm sorry to tell you we have company..."

Armed men pushed forward the fatigued Xander. This was new... Bad news.

A cool breeze flowed along the skin of Nathan's pale face, as he sat upright against the rough bark of an oak tree. Slowly the breeze stopped and Nathan woke up from the lack of comfort. What he saw wasn't what he called necessarily comforting.

Nathan was outside, in what seemed to be a small park, with a large city around him. He saw children a few hundred yards away running around playing some sort of game with their mothers nearby. He saw something move on one of the lady's lap, and it turned to face Nathan. It was a large light tan colored cat, with large ears and a golden coin on it's forehead.

Nathan blinked and rubbed his sky blue eyes in disbelief at what he was seeing. When he opened them again, he saw not just the cat staring at him, but the children and their mother's staring at them. One of the woman, a sand colored haired lady, stood up and started walking towards him. How she walked reminded him of how Claire walked. He snapped out of his dream when he saw the lady's shadow over him.

"I'm Rosa. Need some help up?" the lady, Rosa, said with some sort of power in her voice. Nathan took her hand, and slowly got to his feet, with some help to Rosa. Without trying to actually stare, he did a quick over look off her. She was tall, but not as tall as him; her hair was a light sand brown, and her eyes were a dark penetrating green, almost like clouded emeralds. He started feeling his eyes wander when he was snapped back by Rosa's voice.

"You were sitting there when we got here," Rosa stated, her eyes looking into Nathan. Nathan felt heat flood to his face, as she continued, "From what we saw, it looked like you hadn't been there long, and you weren't dead. So, we let you be until you felt like moving." Nathan looked away, trying to calm himself. 'Why am I acting like this?' Nathan thought. 'I know guys are to act like this at some point in their life, but not this early.' Nathan felt her looking at him, and turned his head back to her.

"So, where are you from?" Rosa asked. Nathan stood there, trying to think, but the only thing he could remember was he had been reading a book before falling asleep, and apparently landing where ever he is. He looked around, to see if he was in any familiar place he knew, but couldn't find anything that looked familiar.

"Um... I don't know where I'm from," Nathan said. He looked down at the ground and saw three small red and white balls laying on the ground, near where he sat. He felt Rosa glaring at the top of his head, so he looked back up into her green eyes. He felt heat start flowing to his face again, as he stared. Her eyes changed from a strong glare to more caring eyes.

"Okay, you may have done something and hit your head," Rosa said, as some of the other women that were with her started coming over, their children following. "I might as well invite you over to my place, and explain to me what you can remember. Also, grab those three PokeBalls and keep them with you; you may need them." Nathan looked at her oddly, but followed her command and grabbed the three small balls off of the grass and shoved them in his right pocket. 'I wonder why she called the PokeBalls, and not just regular balls...' He kept his though to himself, as he followed her over to her group.

Rosa flicked her hand in good bye as a small jet black haired girl ran towards her. The girl wrapped her arms around the Rosa's legs in a hug. Nathan stood there watching the mother and daughter in an embrace. 'That must be Rosa's daughter, or maybe Rosa was babysitting the girl,' he thought, seeing them break. He swiveled his eyes away, still containing a light red tint to his face. Rosa looked back at Nathan and smiled.

"This is my daughter Rikku," Rosa said cheerfully. Nathan looked back and saw the small girl. Rikku blushed as her eyes made contact with Nathan's. She did a slight bow before hiding behind her mom. Nathan did a slight chuckle before giving a slight informal bow. When Nathan stood back up staright, he saw Rikku catching a glimpse of Nathan before blushing and hiding back behind her mother's leg.

"Well, we better get going, I heard it was supposed to be cool tonight," Rosa stated, containing her cheerfulness. She turned around; Rikku, unlatching from her leg, followed her mom's action before running off ahead. Nathan followed Rosa, staying as equal as he could with her pace. 'I still need to know where I am and why I am here.

Pewter City

Opening his eyes Jordan looked around and saw he was in a town. Thinking of the last thing he had done. When he thought about it he could not remember anything. Seeing an old man, he started to walk over to him. “Who are you” said Jordan

Looking over at Jordan the old man said “just an old man with no need for pokemon anymore”.

“ Pokemon? What are pokemon?” asked Jordan .

The old man then said “ pokemon are creatures that can act as pets or battle for you if you are a trainer, you can also have my pokemon if you want. Out of three pokeballs a Gengar, a Gyarados, and a Dragonite appeared.

“What are the specific name of those pokemon” asked Jordan

Those pokemons names are Gengar which is the ghost like pokemon of the three, Gyarados the sea serpent like pokemon of the three, and Dragonite the dragon like pokemon of the three, so do you want them or not” asked the old man patiently.

“Yes I shall have them” Said Jordan then he said “one more question if it is okay with you?”

The old man then replied “ yes you can ask another question.”

“Well what is the name of this city” asked Jordan looking around once again

“This is Pewter City” replied the old man

Thanking the old man he returned his three new pokemon to their balls and started walking off towards mount moon. People looking at him as he walked because they had all seen him just appear their from nowhere. Seeing mount moon in sight he kept on walking. Soon to see what a true mountain in the pokemon world was like.

Sunlight filtering through the cavern...

It was about midmorning. The sun was sitting in its throne high up in the middle of the sky, bearing its will down upon all of Earth's helpless inhabitants. It was really quite a bright day, the tourists visiting the Ruins all wearing caps or visors or carrying umbrellas, and lugging around water bottles. Bratty kids clutched the hands of their exhasperated parents, and annoyed executives in Bermuda shorts repeatedly checked their watches, making sure they could just see the Ruins, leave, and brag about it when they got home from their business trip.

In a small, ovalish ruin, laid a teenage boy. His long, jet black hair lied all around his head, and he was spread eagled on the side. His head was slumped on a boulder, and his flat stomach breathed in and out slowly. He was out cold.

A small C Unown levitated its way toward the prone figure, curious at what this intruder was doing in the ruin, and why it was taking a nap there.

The Unown nudged the unconscious form gently, seeing if it would wake up. It didn't.

Francis had just finished packing his backpack for the return to his mothers house. He had spent a month with his father's family and it was now time to head home. He placed the knapsack next to him on the couch and turned on the television. There was merely static. Great, this storm must be interfering with the satalite, he thought to himself. It was getting fairly late, and with nothing to do Francis headed to bed. He would be leaving in the morning. Snatching up the backpack, he headed downstairs to his room. From the top of the stairs he saw the backyard through the glass door. Seeing the umbrella on the patio was unfolded, he realized that one of the gale force winds outside could send the plastic table it was attatched to flying. Francis rushed down the stairs and through the kitchen to the door. Pulling it open he grabbed the umbrella to keep it down. An exceptionally strong gust came along and pulled the umbrella and Francis several meters from the ground. Before he had a chance to grow upset about the distance he was from the grassy floor, lightning struck him.

Ouch, where am I? How could the windf carry him so far on a toasted umbrella? The pole of the device was still there, but the fabric was ripped and torn, a large peice was missing. This makes no sense, even a strong umbrella can't carry a human this far without some kind of destructive windstorm. Francis was lying next to a slow running river, there was a bridge on the other side. Where am I? This was certainly nowhere near his father's house. There were too many steep ledges and hills around here. There were also no signs of a recent windstorm or rainstorm. How long was I out for? Francis pulled himself off the beach and heard a loud crack. Looking down, he found that he stepped on a small red device. The screen inside had a large crack down its center. Most of the message couldn't be read because all the pixels around the break were white.

He added the strange sperical red and white objects to his backpack. Well isn't that helpful. I wonder what it is I'm supposed to do? Maybe someone in that town across the river will be able to fix this contraption. With that, Francis jumped down from a ledge he had no hope of ever being able to climb back up, and headed towards the town.

by Mt. Moon

Walking up to the mountain Jordan asked a hiker what was this mountain called.

The hiker said "this is Mt. Moon".

"Ok thanks" Replied Jordan. thinking to himself how to get over the mountain. This is going to be difficult thought Jordan. seeing some rubble he thought it looked like an entrance to the mountain. deciding to send out the strongest looking pokemon he had. In front of him he sent out the sea serpent looking pokemon named Gyarados. Seeing that he was out of the ball it used hyper beam on the nearest pile of rocks which happened to be the ones in front of the mountain entrance.

Walking into the cave with barely any light he returned his Gyarados to its ball. Every once in a while he would trip over a Geodude which when he tripped the first time was a rock and being chased deeper into the cave every time he trepped over one until he ran starait into a boulder with arms, legs, and a head. it looked over at him and started using earthquake. dropping one of his pokeballs his gyarados popped out. he told it to use that one beam of power it had used before. Instead of Hyper beam it used Hydro pump this time instantly ohkoing the golem. Searching for his Gyarados's ball he crawled over to where the golem was origonaly found. Almost at the same time he saw the pokeball and picked it up a rock hit his head.

A few hours later he had woken up. Sitting up Jordan looked off the side of the mountain to see a town A few miles away. looking to his side he saw a few people. Digging his fingers into his pocket where his pokeballs should of been there was nothing except Gyarados's empty ball. Looking over to his other side he saw his Gyarados tied up in a net. Looking back to the people he saw his Dragonite and Gengar's pokeballs in there hands. Taking out his leatherman he had gotten for his birthday he started cutting Gyarados's net strands in half with the knife part of the leatherman. When he was done cuting the strands of rope the people had looked over only to see a hyper beam knock them off the mountain. Seeing his pokeballs fly into the air Jordan started to run off the edge to jump and get the pokeballs when Gyarados caught them in his mouth and lowered his head down to Jordan so he could pick them up. Returning Gyarados to its ball he started heading down the mountain.

OOC: that is all for today.

"Are you sure it can't be fixed?" Francis asked the shopkeeper desperately. "I'm sure that I've got enough money."

The balding man gave him a sceptical look, "Depends on the problem we've got here. This place don't got no screens to replace that broken one you got yerself. Too small ya know, they don' make em like that there no more. I might be able to speed order one in fer tommorow if ye'll be here still. I'd need myself a bonus for the extra work though."

"No, that's quite alright. I'll find a 'more capable' place," Francis said, leaving the shop. The owner of the building was no quite angry. Calling many indecent names as his unaccepting customer left. These were ignored by Francis, he was used to being insulted back on earth. Though he still doesn't know he's left it. Amazingly enough he hadn't seen any pokemon yet, except for a flock of Pidgey and three Oddish who were buried underground. Nothing recognizably different however. He headed towards the pool, hoping there would be some form of vistor information inside. He was rejected from the complex for offering them 'funny money'. So he just sat on the outskirt of town and tossed flat stones onto the water below nugget bridge. He never had been able to skip them. Francis decided to take another look at the pokeball he held in his hand, what was this objects purpose? He pressed the button in it's center and a houndour appeared before him.
