I've noticed that the last "name brand" someone can reach on these forums is "Elite Trainer" after 600 posts or so. Not being a picky little ******, but sometime maybe add some more and extend the post count for some "levels" to higher post-counts. I reached "Elite Trainer" in less than a month. Not complaining, just saying it was certainly not a task to become an "Elite Trainer".
And MAYBE, for the members who have been here a while, are well known personalities, and deserve them, custom titles? I know I asked before, but for some reason I feel like asking again. It could be like a reward for being dedicated members and whatnot.
BTW, I'm not expecting a yes, only thought to bring it up with a little more details about it to give.

You know what just hit me? I'm an Elite Trainer already... Hah! Didn't take too long... considering all the time I've been on. Good point you're making, kholdstaire!

Heh, I see where you're coming from. However, custom titles would take quite awhile to do. There are many many members who would want this, and I doubt Ryan will take off that much time to do so. He's got so many things to do already with the website, so he may not be able to get to everyone. But adding more titles may not be out of the question, I just think custom titles is. However, it depends on if VBoards (I'm not familiar enough with them to know) will allow you to add more groups, and if Ryan wants to add them. :wink2:

Vbulletin has a function for "Custom titles settable in user CP after ___ posts"
so maybe Khold's suggestion that be turned on and set to like 1000

I don't see the need for them. Should'nt be worrying about your post count and rank anyways.

For some people, 500 posts would take a while. Heck, I haven't even reached 500 yet. I think it's pretty fair to have it at 500, it's a good amount, but definitely can accomplished.
As for custom titles, I don't like that idea, it would be chaos with so many people with different titles. I want to keep that simple, the title just shows how much you have posted, or whether or not that person is a moderator.
As always, I appreciate any feedback. So never hesistate to do that.

Not that it would really matter now, but it would make more sense to give the people with the most points a certain title instead of everybody else. Heh, I don't know why I posted this but just wanted to post my say in it. *shrugs*

I don't really pay attention to post count, all I know is that I have over 1,000 posts... Just because you can't see them doesn't mean I've made them. I just think that having more titles will just encourage SPAM... I know because on another forum people just posted to see the next title... all the way to 10,000.... Also, I had over 1,000 on the old board, that's why I'm saying the above... I also think you should have a Veteran title if you did stuff, to make you popular... coughhelpedtostartteamscough

Custome titiles should be given to June member of the month, for example if someone earns the most helpful in the june member of the month then they should get "Most Helpful Member" in their title and when the next winners come around the old ones are reverted back to normal "Elite trainer" and stuff.
In case of winning more than one title it could be "Most helpful and Dedicated" or something like that....

I really don't care about the titles
