Magikarp

I believe that Magikarp should be in the mart.

It is one of the (if not THE most) common Pokemon in the game.

We add things like Caterpie, Heracross, and even Lapras, but we don't have Magikarp.

I'll make a poll to get opinions recorded.

Actually, someone, I can't remember who, but they were a urpg official, said quite the opposite in the thread that argued about taking heracross out.

The Pokemart isn't based on rarity. It's based on whatever we feel like putting in there. :tongue: Some are common, some are a little more rare. And some we haven't changed.... ever.

Let's make it..... $9,000.

It's really unnecessary to change the Pokemon in the mart anyway. It's a waste of time defining the rarity and strength of each Pokemon.

Nah, it's not really worth changing. If it's so easy, why not just write a story for it? I say keep it out.

Oh my, the fact that Magikarp is common and it's not in the Pokemart disturbs me deeply, drives me insane...I think the URPG will crumble if we don't solve this now!

Seriously, Chase, does it really affect you if Magikarp, an easy-catch story pokémon, appears or not in the pokémart? I really don't think so, you can sit and write for 30 minutes for one or simply trade something for Gyarados, there are a lot of them anyway.
And as Raik points out, the pokemart list was made subjectively a long time ago. It's a fossil, as I have said before.

Next time you know it, every pokemon in the mart will be questioned only because since the Heracross debate, it's another popular way of making ourselves noticed!

So please, avoid using the court for such insignificant matters. As Jack said, this is for MAJOR TOPICS only, and I highly doubt a Magikarp not being in the mart counts as one.

Stories don't have to be super original and creative, especially not for a Magikarp. And don't we all have to write stories in English class at some point in time?
