I changed my mind. Instead of Palkia, I want Diaruga. I didn't know their stats before, but now I do thanks to the D/P Pokedex at Serebii.

Diaruga is Steel and Dragon, two of my favorite types, and looks like the best watchdog on the face of the earth. Also, it's blue color is one of the best shades they could have possibly picked. Possibly the only legendary they have made so far that I like as much as Diaruga is Suicune.

Diaruga, is a steel dragon, it gives it a new weakness, Parukia, water dragon, removes an old weakness.
Parukia is faster and has a better special defense, diaruga is has better defense is slower but has higher hp -- in the end their isnt a great difference it stats
they are evenly powerful -- and i don't know why parukia is pink considering he is white in anime! but yeah whatever, he's still cool, and diaruga has is just ... cool looking :hungry:

diaruga has 12 resistences and only 2 weaknesses and that is saying something

parukia has one weakness but only 3 resistences that isn't rly that good

steel and dragon are the two strongest types out there and they have finaly been combined into diaruga

i think that diaruga is by far the bast out of the two, but that my view so it doesn't mean i think that everyone should think its the best

Maybe most people are judging them by their looks, but I know I'm not. I chose Diaruga because it can have a better moveset.

Actually, I did some research, and Pairuka is better in moves and stats. They both have equal Sp. ATK, but Diaruga has 90 base speed, while Pairuka has 100. Plus, Pai's specialized move is better, since Dia's is basically a dragon-type hyper beam, while Pai's only does 100 damage, but instead has a high critical hit ratio!

Well, at least that's what Serebii said in the stat section... Perhaps, the stats are all wrong in there, but I doubt it...

I think overall diaruga is better...kind of off topic if you did'nt know parukia/diaruga hold items which raise the effectivness of: for Parukia water and dragon and for Diaruga steel dragon respectively...it may be that you have to get them elsewhere from what i know but i'm guessing they'd be holding it

Yes, it is true that Diaruga has a better typeset than pairuka, but, if you are going to use it as a special sweeper, which is the obvious implementation for them both, resistances barely matter, and the important thing becomes stats and the movepool, in which Pai is much better.

Finally, it was getting really annoying.

Anyway, who would win in a fight between Dialga and Pialka? I think Dialga might because even though Pialka has higher speed and will get the first attack, its moves aren't super effective against Dialga (except Earthquake). Still, Dialga's higher defense will allow it to survive. Then it will attack with Time Roar, which does like 150 damage, gains STAB, and with 150 special attack base power, it will win.
