Um ... yes, while looking around, I found this page -

Using a translator, I got something about -

Digging, Wi - Fi, Booby traps, Treasure, Caves and (from the picture) Seceret Bases.

Can anybody make sense of this?

Perhaps you should wait for an official English translation. Keep your eyes on Pokemon Elite 2000 or Serebii.

it is called the under ground shino region, its also their to find the fossils for the two new fossil pokemon.

As for what you're talking about, as Pichufan4 said, there's a placed underground Shinou where you can play games with friends using WiFi. You can make your secret base and play games where you have to find treasure and get past booby traps etc.
