Sorry for all the questions but i just got the game. I am meowth, and i have cyndiquil as my buddy. do i always have to play as meowth or can i switch to cyndiquil? if so how?

Once you beat the game you'll be able to play as any pokemon you have on your team. And hey next time instead of makeing a whole new thread for this just ask me in my thread "A Guide to Success"!
