So what's the deal with this thing? I know it spreads the experience over your party but what about the hidden stats? EV's, or whatever you'd call them in this era? Are they distributed like with the Exp Share?

I think so.
It's supposed to be the same effect of you switching in every one of your pokemon during a battle so everybody gets experience, and when you do that, the stat experience is shared aswell so... i think so.

I thought that too, but if you defeat an opponent, say, with Gengar then it says

Gengar gained xxxx exp
Gengar gained, with exp all, xxx exp

I thought this indicated something different was going on, since the two denominations are separate and the "with exp all" clause is interesting, too.

The game just gives gengar half the experience twice, because it's stupid.
