What is middle school? I've heard many people talk about it,but what the hell is it?

Middle School is the section between Elementary and High School. Basically 7th and 8th grade (and 6th depending on the school).

Simple between High School and Elementary. How could you not know this. Well I am in Middle school so that does explain alot.

Perhaps he lives in a country with only elementary and high schools, or perhaps a single integrated one...Also, officially, Middle school is grades 6-8.

On a more personal note, I remember Middle school... So horrific. You were not allowed to carry around your bookbags, chew gum, or bring Ipods to lunch. Plus, every period was 43 minutes, and only 2.5 minutes between each period, so the schedule wasa really messed up...

Or their is always the simple explanation that he lives in the Boones.Ditto middle school is that tough.Yay I am Amiddle schooler!Aw man,8th graders,they are like the bullies/school royalty.You know how they say seniors are tough,well compared to 8thgrades,they are wimps!(no offense)

Middle school is a school thats bigger than elementary,
harder, has bigger kids, and is a pain in the neck.
I'm in junior high and i'm in 6th grade.

Middle school usually has grader 6-8. Sometimes 7-9, but not that often. It's the shortest school years usually.

Yeah...he probably lives in South America where Middle School doesn't exist. It's typically divided into two sections. Lower School and Upper School. Lower is between Kinder and 6th grade. Upper school consists of 7th to 11th grade. Most schools with this system don't have a 12th grade; I guess it isn't required. In Upper it isn't known as 7th or 11th grade it just restarts from 1st. Like they would say 1st of Upper School or 3rd of Upper School.
