At my school everyone believes that pokemon is played out.They used to watch it becuase they were kids and they thought they were cute.Now the pokemon have evovled and they think they're ugly.Personally I only watch it when they battle.The reason I joined this place was to join a Yu-GI-Oh rp.It eventually died,so did the role play section,so I just started going to pokemon roleplay and found out that there were some pretty good rps there.

That is the main view 'that it is childish'. Everyone in mine does lol, atleast I don't know of anyone who doesn't. But like someone else said, I have my likes, they have thiers.

It just seems my likes are superior to their likes of going out, getting hammered, and canoodling with random people lol. Oh, and then ending up in A+E.

I'm in junior high so i think that most people in my school

2 wings hit the nail on the head for me. I mean in my school most people dont care. I know in the lower grade schools they do. But yeah...one time these freshman were looking over my shoulder and saw that I was on the P2K forums and they began to talk S#@& and I was really close to wanting to deck them in the face. Besides they are only Freshman. ( Yes I know I was once a freshman but I'm not one any more, I are a Junior)

Nobody else that I know likes Pokemon in a serious manner. A lot of people know that I really like Pokemon, like enough to go out and buy the games and all, and they make fun of me, but in a joking manner. People just don't seem to hold it against you once you reach a certian age.

Yah i know theres like nobody that likes pokemon. Exept for people in this forum and some
freinds. I don't know why, but when i was at the mew distribution there were alot of people
that had pokemon games and thats how i found out that my freinds like pokemon.

Nobody likes pokemon in my school but you can tell that they have played because when someone looks like one of them they call them what pokemon they look like.

Examples:
There's this fat guy with big shoulders and a round head. People call him Blastoise or DK (not pokemon, duh)
There's this other guy with a head similar to Bellsprout's so they call him Bellsprout.
The funniest one, IMO, is the guy with the big nose...it's so big that people call him Zapdos and Fearow.
They call Mr. Mime to some weird stupid crazy kid.
I can't remember of any more.
They do this in my school a lot but only in my grade. The Blastoise kid is the guy who brings up the most pokemon names. It's really funny when he tries to imitate the voice but other than that they don't really talk about pokemon.
