This thread is for frequently asked questions that people are constantly posting here. It's an attempt to give people the answers they're looking for without having them starting new threads on it.

I'll start off by answering some miscellaneous FAQ's.

1. Where's Feebas? How do I evolve Feebas into Milotic?

Feebas is located on Route 119, but can only be found by fishing in 1 to 6 tiles on the entire route. So, the only way to find it without cheating is to fish in every tile of water on the map. Once you find a tile with Feebas, you can continue to find Feebas there and catch as many as you like.
Feebas evolves to Milotic by maxing out its Beauty statistic. You can do so by feeding it berries that raise Beauty, such as Hondew berries.

As for the Feebas tiles and the trendy phrase, here's what CrimsonSpider said to answer someone's question:

"The trendy phrase in dewford coincides with the location of feebas. Each game has a feebas seed. This helps to find where feebas live. If you change the phrase, the location of feebas tiles change.

Do you have to change it?
No."

2. How do I get to Mirage Island? What's there?

Mirage Island appears at random. Every day, a number between 1 and 65536 is chosen, and if this number matches one of your Pokemon, then Mirage Island will appear on Route 130. The previous theory about gender modifiers was proven false.
So, if you really want to go there, visit the old man in Pacifidlog and bring all of your Pokemon to him EVERY DAY. If you're lucky, he'll say he can see the island.
Mirage Island is filled with Wynauts, and it's the only place where you'll find the rare Liechi Berry.

3. What's the Southern Island? How do I get there? What's there?

The Southern Island is a place you can only get to if you have the Eon Ticket. The Eon Ticket is only available through a Nintendo Promotion or other Nintendo-sponsored event. So unless you go to New York City to visit the Pokemon Center, the only other way to get there is by using Gameshark or another cheating device.
Currently, the only thing found on Southern Island is Latios or Latios holding the Soul Dew. If you're playing Sapphire, it'll be Latios, if Ruby, then it'll be Latias.

Kan Yozakura: You can also recieve the Eon Ticket by mixing records with someone who already has it.

4. What are EVs (Effort Values)? What does this have to do with Rare Candies?

Effort Values are hidden points that your Pokemon gains after each battle. Each Pokemon in the game will give you 1 to 3 EV points for beating it. You can find a list of this at www.pokefor.tk (http://www.pokefor.tk/).
Each Pokemon can gain a maximum of 510 EV points. Once you reach the maximum, your Pokemon will recieve an Effort Ribbon from the lady in Slateport, next to the Energy Guru. You can gain a maximum of 255 points in one stat. At Lv: 100, these EVs can make a difference of up to 63 stat points in a single state (i.e. Attack or HP).

Kan: Actually, the cap for each individual stat is 252, which leaves you with 6 extra EVs to distribute to a different stat if you max 2 stats. (I've tested this many times...it's true.)

Wearing the Macho Brace will double EV gains, while cutting your Pokemon's Speed in half during battle. The Speed cut is only temporary, and your Pokemon's Speed is not permanently effected by it.

PokeRUS, a completely random event, is a virus that your Pokemon can catch from a wild Pokemon, completely at random. Once infected, your Pokemon will spread it to other Pokemon you put it in contact with in your team, and it can be saved by storing a PokeRUS infected Pokemon in your PC. PokeRUS doubles EV gains. When used with the Macho Brace, EV gains are quadrupled. PokeRUS will wear off in 2 to 3 days.

Rare Candies are not harmful after your Pokemon has maxed out their EVs (obtained the Effort Ribbon). Rare Candies raise your Pokemon's level by 1, but provide no EVs. The reason why Pokemon leveled up to Lv:100 by Rare Candies are weaker is because they didn't gain all their EVs. Once a Pokemon gets the Effort Ribbon, Rare Candies are safe to use.

All Pokemon that participate in battle will recieve the same number of EVs, including those holding Exp. Share. Only Pokemon holding the Macho Brace will recieve double EVs. Therefore, Pokemon holding Exp. Share or not holding Macho Brace will recieve the normal amount of EVs.

Kan: Vitamins & EVs

The 6 different vitamins (HP Up, Protien, Iron, Carbos, Calcium, Zinc) each raise one of your Pokemon's EVs by 10 points in its respective stat. The cap for vitamin EVs on each stat is 100, aka you can only use 10 vitamins on each stat. This is very helpful in maxing the EVs of certain stats, as it cuts your battle time in half.

For some reason, you can use 10 of each vitamin on a Pokemon with 0 EVs and max its EVs with 600 (100 per stat)...I'm not quite sure why this is true, but it works.

Kenny: I've tested this theory on a Kyogre that I just caught (for argument's sake), and it does not seem to follow this rule, as it caps at 510EVs (i.e. only a single HP up was used before it cannot take any more). Seems the trick doesn't work in at least certain situations.

5. How do I catch the Regis?

First, go to Pacifidlog. Bring Relicanth and Wailord with you. Surf west into the fast currents. It'll take a few times before you find it, but along the bottom of the route there's a small patch of dark water you can Dive into. Dive there, and you'll be in an underwater cave. You'll find a Braille inscription at the back. Surface directly in front of the inscription.
Now you should be in another cave. You'll find Braille messages all around, which when translated will tell you to Dig in front of the Braille message in the back.

After that, you'll find a circle of Braille messages. These tell you the story of the Regis. Translate them if you like (Braille resources can be found all over the internet). At the back of the room is another inscription that says "First comes Relicanth Last comes Wailord." If Relicanth is in the front of your team, and Wailord is the last in your team, then there will be an earthquake, and the Regi Tombs will now be unlocked.

The Regi Tombs are the three rock formations you spotted in the game. Surf North of Dewford to find Regice's tomb. Read the Braille inscription, but don't close the message. If you wait long enough with the Braille message on-screen, a door will open. Go catch Regice.

To find Registeel, go to Lilycove and travel West. You'll find his tomb on a hilltop. Read the Braille again. It explains how to open the door. Walk to the middle of the room, and use Fly.

Regirock's tomb is in the southern portion of the desert. Read the Braille. It tells you to move 2 steps right, 2 steps down, then use Strength. The door opens.

Rayquaza:

After beating the Elite Four, the Sky Pillar will appear East of Pacifidlog. Bring the Mach Bike with you. Surf from Pacifidlog, heading East, and keep to the top of the path. You'll find an outlet leading to a large tower, known as the Sky Pillar. On the way up, you'll see ed floor panels, which you'll need to use the Mach Bike to cross. If you stop on a panel or go over it twice, you'll fall to the floor below.
Rayquaza is at Lv: 70, and pretty tough to catch, so bring a LOT of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls... chances are you'll use a couple dozen.

Latios/Latias locations

Latios is found in the wild in Ruby, while Latias is found in the wild in Sapphire.
In Ruby, Latias is found on the Southern Island. In Sapphire, Latios is found there.

Wild Latios/Latias appear at RANDOM. To run into them, you'll just have to walk around on different routes until it shows up. Note that Latios/Latias will NOT appear on any routes East of Verdanturf, Slateport, or the ashey route. For some reason, they just don't go there. Once you've seen one, you can look them up in your Pokedex to see if you're on the same route as them. Latios/Latias' location changes every time you enter a city, a new route, or any other new location.

What ways are there to keep Latios/as from escaping?

These are the only ways:

A Wobbufet or Wynaut

If you use Clamp(only temporary)

If you use Fire Spin(Same as above)

Why doesn't my Trapinch with Arena Trap keep him from escaping?

Because Trapinch's ability only prevents escapes from non-flying pokemon and pokemon that don't know levitate.Since Latios/as have Levitate,it does not work.

Happiness/Tameness

Some Pokemon evolve by tameness, and Return/Frustration are based on it as well. This is a hidden value, and there are a few ways to effect it. The following are the ONLY ways to raise tameness (sorry Alakazam, but the ods you had posted were theories that had been proved wrong):

The Pokemon gains a level. (3 or 5 points)

Vitamins are used on the Pokemon. (2 points)

Walking with the Pokemon in your team (512 steps=1 point).

Attaching the Soothe Bell raises the amount of points gained.

Happiness/Tameness is decreased when a Pokemon faints or has one of the herbal items used on it (only the ones sold in Lavaridge). Tameness does NOT decrease when the Pokemon's HP is low, afflicted with a status condition, or stored in the PC.

Pokemon that evolve via Happiness/Tameness are:
Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Golbat, Azurill, Chansey, Togepi, and Eevee.

A woman in Verdanturf will rate the Tameness of the first Pokemon in your team.

Attack/Sp. Attack moves

The following attacks are based on Attack, and resisted by Defense:

Normal, Fighting, Bug, Flying, Ground, Rock, Ghost, Poison, Steel

While the rest of the types are based on Special Attack and resisted by Special Defense:

Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Dragon, Dark

Some moves can be "Physical" but still affected by Sp. Attack/Sp. Defense, such as Blaze Kick or Thunder Punch. The only time this matters is when fighting a Pokemon with abilities like Static, Effect Spore, Rough Skin, and a few other abilities. These are moves that come in "contact" with the opponent. For a list, go to www.gamefaqs.com (http://www.gamefaqs.com/) and look at one of the Move Lists.

Contests & Paintings

A lot of people ask about how to get a painting of their Pokemon. First off, you have to have talked to the curator of the Lilycove Museum.

To get a painting, all you have to do is pass a Master rank contest, but you MUST get a final rating of 6 hearts after the second appeals round.

At the end of the contest, the results are shown in hearts and stars (but not horshoes, clovers, or blue moons). The stars represent the first appeal round, the audience appeals, which are a rating of how well you raised the Pokemon with berries. The hearts represent the judge's appeals, which is how well you did when showing off your Pokemon's moves.

The best way to pull off a final 6 heart rating is to use combos with your Pokemon. A move used in combination will give you double the displayed number of hearts. Good combinations are those that combine a protective move with a move that's worth a good number of hearts, for example, Dive + Surf, Rest + Snore, etc. Save your big shot moves for the end, like Hyper Beam, Explosion, Self Destruct, and Destiny Bond.

Kan Yozakura: The 6 heart thing is not true; to recieve the Super Sketch, your Pokemon has to have at least 5 or 6 stars, and you have to win the contest. Also, a Pokemon that has been a Super Sketch before is not eligible for further Super Sketches.

You'll get a painting for each type of Contest you pass, and when you get one for each Contest type (Smart, Tough, Cool, Cute, and Beauty), you'll be rewarded with the Glass Ornament for your Secret Base, and a Star on your Trainer Card.

How do I get Azurill? What about Wynaut?

To get Azurill you MUST attach Sea Incense to a male Marill, and breed it with a female Marill. Wynaut is bred from two Wobuffets, but the male must hold Lax Incense. Both of these can be found in the indoor tombs of Mt. Pyre.

EDIT: In Emerald, you can obtain Wynaut from the old woman in Lavaridge.

Where can I get "A" class berries?

Go to the Berry Master's house, and tell one of these phrases to the Berry Master's wife:

SUPER HUSTLE - Belue Berry
CHALLENGE CONTEST - Pamtre Berry
GREAT BATTLE - Spelon Berry
OVERWHELMING LATIAS - Watmel Berry
COOL LATIOS - Durin Berry

"A" class berries will produce Gold blocks when mixed at 100 RPM or higher. Gold blocks will raise two qualities equally instead of one quality being raised less than the other.

How do I get Shedinja?

When Nincada evolves into Ninjask, you must have less than 6 Pokemon in your team, and a Pokeball. If so, Shedinja will appear in an empty spot on your lineup. Shedinja will have all the moves Ninjask has upon evolution. So, if you want a Shedinja with Swords Dance, you'll have to cancel evolution till Lv: 25, when Ninjask will learn Swords Dance immediately after evolution.

How do I get Vibrava/Flygon?

They evolve from Trapinch, which is found in the desert.

My Wurmple woun't evolve into a Cascoon/Silcoon

Ygseto: I'm sorry but the Wurple situation all has to do with luck. It doesn't have to do with the time of day or gender. To repeat Wurmple evovles randomly.

Can I get shiny Eggs?

Kan: The chances of seeing a Shiny are the same no matter how you encounter the Pokemon, be it in the wild, through an egg, or in the Battle Tower. Breeding Shiny parents will NOT always get you Shiny eggs.

Obtaining extra Evolution Stones

Most commonly, you will obtain evolution stones by collecting Shards and trading them at a house off the coast of Mossdeep. But, there are only a few of each. So what happens if you use up all your evolution stones, but have more Pokemon you want to use them on?

The following Pokemon rarely hold evolution stones/shards in the wild.

Corsola: Red Shard
Chinchou: Yellow Shard
Relicanth: Green Shard
Clamperl: Blue Shard
Lunatone: Moon Stone
Solrock: Sun Stone

So, technically, there is an unlimited number of evolution stones... But, they're hard to find once you've used up all the shards that can be found Diving.

Where are the Moonstones?

Ygseto: There's only one Moonstone in the Ruby Version. For more you have to import some from a Saphire Version.

Rocket Launches & Deoxys/Jirachi

Bashaamo: The Launches are nothing more than a week counter, they count how many weeks you've been playing for, in no way are they connected to the pokemon 201, and 202.

Which pokemon learn them?

Answer: Absolutly no one! Not one poke learns these attacks... yet...

There are many RUMORS going around saying stuff like they are on the e-reader or they are prizes of Pokemon Colisseum or the next game is going to have a secret tutor that teaches these techniques to certain pokemon. All these rumors are false.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that you are able to get the four moves from the Move Tutor on Fire Red & Leaf Green. However, the Move Tutor will only teach one of these moves to a starter Pokemon from FR & LG. More info may come soon.

Now about egg hatching.

It has been years since I last saw the exact procedure but it goes something like this...

First, we find a base binary for the pokemon breeding.

After you give the old man and woman your Pokémon, the waiting begins. Here's how it works.

1. A random number is chosen from 1 through 255. Every step you take, that number is decreased by 1.
2. When that number reaches 0, another random number from 1 through 255 is picked.
3. If the number just picked is lower than the number above, then you will get an egg. If not, then step 1 is repeated.

Basically, the greater the number above is, the shorter you'll have to wait before you get an egg.

I just check one of my sources and that is how it goes.

What's the Berry Glitch?


Kan: It's a glitch in the game's programming; 1 year after production, the internal clock glitches, which means time based events like growing Berries, the Lilycove Sale, and MirageIsland won't happen. This can be fixed by downloading Jirachi to your Ru/Sap game off of the Pokemon Colleseum pre-order disc, which has a patch that fixes the problem.

My Pokemon aren't giving me any eggs! It's been days! What's going on?

As long as the Daycare Center Man doesn't say "They prefer to play with other Pokemon," they WILL hatch an egg eventually. But, the main reason for the delay is because you thought that egg-laying is based on time.

Egg-laying and hatching are based on the number of steps you take, not how long they're in there. It's not a measure of time, but of distance travelled. So, ride up and down the bike path on your Mach Bike, come back after a dozen laps, and see if there's an egg waiting for you.

Also, your Pokemon will always "not appear to like each other." They'll never grow to like each other. Pokemon will like each other more and lay eggs faster if:
They're of the same species.
They're from different trainers.
If they're from different species, or the same trainer, it'll take a whole lot of steps to hatch.

I want to breed my starter. It's a male.

Tough luck, you CAN'T. When two Pokemon breed, the egg will ALWAYS be of the same species as the mother. So, if you want another starter or fossil Pokemon, you MUST have a female. And guess what? Females are rare. Just save the game before choosing your starter/fossil, then reset until you get a Female.

The only exception to this rule is that Illumise will produce Volbeat and Illumise eggs.

All Legendary Pokemon can NOT breed.

Note that genderless Pokemon can breed with Ditto, but Baby and Legendary Pokemon can't. Ditto is not in Ru/Sa, unless you use GameShark to get it.

Pokemon Natures

Ok! Maybe you guys know what Nature is... But just in case if you can't remember the pros and cons or the favorite PokeBlock flavor of your Pokemon then lets review it!

What Are Natures?

Natures are one of the few traits that a pokemon can posess. They determine a bonus and loss in a pokemon's stats as they level up. This means that a pokemon with an Adamant nature will will get more attack points when they level up, but their special attack won't raise as much as a normal pokemon's would. These natures are new to the pokemon world, and give a good strategic method to training your pokemon, both in experience, and in contest points.

Note: Because some pokeblocks have more than one flavor, it may be both
the pokemon's favorite and worst, meaning it will raise one more than the
other.

Pokemon Colosseum/FR/LG Pokemon on R/S

How can I get the Pokemon on my Colosseum game onto my R/S game?
You're going to need a GBAtoGC cable. Once you've beaten the last boss in the Realgam Tower, you are able to trade your PC Pokemon over to R/S. Just head on over to the basement of the Pokemon Center in Phenac City. You can only trade Pokemon that have been purified, and you can't send eggs over to PC. Other than that, trading works like it normally does in R/S.

Hey! All of these cool new Pokemon I just got aren't showing up in my Pokedex! What gives?
Pokemon from PC won't appear in your Pokedex until you get a National Dex, which will is available in FR/LG. Just trade from your FR/LG game to get it...if you have met the conditions in FR/LG, that is.

Hey! My FR/LG guide says that ____ learns _____ at level __, but it isn't on my R/S!
Some Pokemon learn exclusive moves on FR/LG, and some learn exclusive moves on R/S. For example, a Seaking will learn Megahorn in FR/LG only, while a Ponyta will only learn Pound in R/S.

Heh heh...the Battle Tower rules say that I can't bring Groudon, Kyogre, or Rayquaza to the battles, but they never said anything about Mewtwo!
Check again, tiger. ALL 00ber legendaries are banned, and the rules list will update when you aquire them in your Pokedex. The banned Pokemon are Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys.

Victory road
Starting on the second floor, head down and use strengh on the boulders, by moving the one on the left left and vice versa but be careful not to block the way.
Go up the stairs, through the bridge and down again. You will face a trainer. Now go south and go down the ladder.
Here, go north and fight a trainer, then surf, go left, go up the waterfall, go left, go down the waterfall, go right, climb the stairs.
Now go down and left, use strength and rock smash on the boulders, and go up to the stairs and climb.
Now cross the bridge and go up, fighting a trainer. Then continue up. When you see the exit, Wally appears and fights you. His party should be around this:

Now that Pokémon Emerald Version has been out in Japan for over a month now, the numerous differences between R/S and Emerald are now known...so, what's new in Emerald that wasn't in Ruby or Sapphire Version?

There are many new pokémon in Emerald Version that weren't in R/S, and there are only a few pokémon that aren't available in Emerald that were in R/S.

The following pokémon are in R/S, but not catchable in Emerald:

There are also a few legendary pokémon in Emerald that weren't in R/S:

However, only ONE of Lati@s can be caught, and you get to choose which one appears!

EV Reducing Berries

In Emerald Version, the following berries raise Tameness and reduce their respective EV by 10 when used on a pokémon. It's not clear right now whether there is a limit as to how many of these berries you can give to the same pokémon:

Pomeg Berry: HP
Kelpsy Berry: Attack
Qualot Berry: Defense
Hondew Berry: Special Attack
Grepa Berry: Special Defense
Tamato Berry: Speed

Inheriting Natures

In this new game, when breeding, there is a 50% chance that the child will inherit the Nature of one of the parents, if they're holding an everstone.

No IV Inheritance Duplicating

In R/S, 3 IVs were randomly passed down from the parents when breeding, however it was possible for both parents to give the same stat, resulting in only 2 IVs being passed on. In Emerald, the parents can't give the same IV, allowing for three IVs to be passed ALWAYS.

Illusion Pillar

This is a new area in the Desert that you can only access after you talk to the Ruin Maniac in Fallarbor Town. It's a tower that you'll need the Mach Bike to get through, since there are areas of cracked floor inside, very much like the Sky Pillar. At the top, you'll find both the Root and Claw Fossils. You have to choose which one you want, and then leave. (You can catch Trapinch and Sandshrew inside)

Once you leave, the tower sinks into the sand, along with the fossil you didn't choose. But once you beat the Elite Four, go to the tunnel where the Ruin Maniac is located, after the E4. There will then be a door leading to an underground tunnel, which stretches across Hoenn. At the end of the tunnel is the second fossil (It sinks under the desert). Wild Pokemon here are Ditto. The New Effects of Abilities

Some abilities have added effects in Emerald Version:

Compoundeyes: Increases the chance that wild pokémon will hold an item

Cute Charm: Increases the chance of wild pokémon's gender being opposite of the gender of the pokémon on your team with this ability

Hustle / Vital Spirit: Lowers the chance of encountering high-level wild pokémon

Hyper Cutter: Increases cutting range when using Cut out of battle

Intimidate / Keen Eye: Lowers the chance of encountering low level wild pokémon

Magma Armor / Flame Body: halves the number of step necessary to hatch an egg.

Magnet Pull: Incrases the chance of encountering wild steel pokémon

Pressure / Arena Trap: Increases the chance of encountering wild pokémon

Lightningrod: Increases the number of calls in the Entry Call (I'll explain the Entry Call later on)

Sand Veil: Lowers the chance of encountering wild pokémon while in areas where there's a sandstorm

Static: Incrases the chance of encountering wild electric pokémon

Suction Cups / Sticky Hold: When fishing, makes pokémon easier to catch

Swarm: Increases the frequency of hearing the roars of wild pokémon in the area in the background music

Synchronize: Increases the chance of wild pokémon's nature matching the nature of the pokémon on your team with this ability

White Smoke: Lowers the chance of encountering wild pokémon

Pichu / Pikachu / Raichu can use Volt Tackle

If either parent is holding a Light Ball, and the child will be a Pichu, than the Pichu will know Volt Tackle when it's born.

Entry Call

The Pokénav function "Trainer's Eyes" has been replaced with "Entry Call". This acts as a cell phone that you can use to call up trainers and gym leaders to get their info, and they sometimes ask for rematches (even gym leaders!). Gym Leaders are stronger each time you fight them, which you can do up to six times.

Double Battles

There are many more double battles in this game, and you may sometimes find that you will be fighting two trainers at once. It's also possible for a CPU trainer to team up with you, creating a true double battle (2 VS 2 trainers).

Capturing the Regis

All three Regis are in Emerald, and they are in the same tombs that they were in R/S...however, getting them works a bit differently in this game.

In order to open the caves. you must bring the following:

-Wailord
-Relincath
-Pokemon with Dive
-Pokemon with Dig

Find the patch of deep water west of Pacfidilog Town. Use Dive, then you will see a cave opening. Go in. Read the braille on the upper center. Use Dig and it will open.

Go to the upper center again. Put Wailord first and Relincanth last. Now you can access the three Regi Tombs, which are in the same location that they were in R/S.

Regirock:

Repeat the same procedures like in R/S, however, when you get in the cave...

-Read the braille
-Go 2 steps left, 2 steps down. then use Rock Smash.

It will open, allowing you to catch a level 40 Regirock.

Capturing Regice:

Same procedures, however, when you get in the cave, real the braille, and do a clockwise lap starting from the braille, you must be by the wall at all times. It will then open, allowing you to catch a level 30 Regice.

Capturing Registeel:

Same procedures again, this time though, go in the middle of the cave and use Flash. It will open, allowing you to catch a level 40 Registeel. (thanks to Nick the Angelic on the changes in how to catch the Regis)

Battle Frontier

Battle Frontier is a new area accessible in Emerald Version, and it's basically a huge Pokémon-themed amusement park, with several things to do inside:

-Battle Arena: In this area, you fight in a contest-like battle. You battle a trainer with three pokémon, all whose level match the highest level of pokémon on your current team. There's a big twist here: the battle only lasts 3 turns! If you win the battle the before that, than you automatically win. If you don't win or lose in 3 turns, than you and the enemy trainer are rated on a system that is similar to that of the contests, with heart, move, or structure. If you get a higher rating, you win. If you win 27 times a row, than you get to battle Greta, the Arena Captain. if you beat her, than you get Silver Arena Badge. She also appears after 50 wins. If you beat her again, you recieve the Gold Arena Badge

-Battle Dome: In here you get to use three of your pokémon in a 16-trainer tournament. Also, the enemy trainers sometimes use pokémon previously unseen in R/S. If you win 5 tournaments in a row, the Dome Superstar, Tucker, appears. If you beat him, you get the Silver Battle Dome Badge. If you win 10 tounreys in a row...yup, you guessed it. The Dome Superstar's back, and more powerful than before. Beat him to obtain the Gold Battle Dome Badge

-Battle Factory: In this area of Battle Frontier, you are given six rental pokémon, and you choose three to use in battle (like in Stadium / Colossuem). Once you win 21 battles, you battle the Factory Head, Noland, for the silver badge of this area, and you can battle him again after 42 battle for the Gold Battle Factory Badge

-Battle Palace: In here, you fight in double battles, except you can't choose your attacks! After 21 and 42, you can battle the Palace Guardian for the Silver and Gold Battle Palace Badges, respectively.

-Battle Pyramid: In the Pyramid, you enter with three pokémon. Get ready for a real challenge. You lose all of your items (you get them back when you leave, of course), and you must fight your way through very powerful wild pokemon and trainers. Along the way you'll find items. The pyramid is 7 floors tall, but you can keep entering...and each time you do, it gets more difficult. The Pyramind King here battles you first when you get to teh top of the pyramid 3 times, and again once you've done it 10x. This looks to me like it's going to be one of the more challening parts of Emerald! :cool:

-Battle Tower: Yes, Battle Tower is in Battle Frontier in Emerald, and it's got everything we've come to expect, and more! In addition to the normal mode, there is a double battle mode, and a third mode where you battle with a CPU trainer. The Tower Tycoon appears after you get 35 straight wins, and you get the Gold Tower Badge after you beat her when she appears after you get 70 straight wins.

-Battle Pike: The Battle Pike is pretty much a funhouse. You get to choose which doors to go through inside (kinda like Norman's gym, except bigger) Behind each door, one of the following things can happen:

-you'll fight a trainer battle
-you'll get your pokémon healed
-your pokémon become infected with a status effect
-you find an item
(NOTE: There may be more in here that we don't know about yet)

-Battle Frontier Item Shops: You earn B.P. (battle points) for beating events in the park. There is an item shop where you can turn in those points for items

Yes. Mix records with a R/S game that has the Eon Ticket.

Where do I get the Other Fossil?
Desert Underground Tunnel on Route 115, after you beat the E4.

Can I get Sudowoodo?
Yes, on the battle Frontier. He looks like a tree. He's Lv. 40.

Where can I find Groundon and Kyogre if I catch Rayquaza before the E4?
Kyogre is on either Rt. 5, 125, 127 or 129. Ask at the Weather Center for Confirmation. Groundon is on either Rt. 114, 115, 116, or 118. Ask at the Weather Center for Confirmation.

How do I get Deoxys?
Get the Aurora Ticket from a Nintendo Event and then go here: http://pokemon.com/deoxys

What about Ho-Oh and Lugia?
When you get your Mystic Ticket in FR/LG Mystery Gift(?) with Emerald and you will get the Mystic Ticket. If not, Wonderspots.

What are Wonderspots?
Wireless Adapter Range Expanders. If you get close enough, you can iteract with the spot to get a Ticket for the Island(s). None are in the US currently.

Well, Go On with Mew.
You need the Old Sea Chart from a Nintendo Event. Present it to the people and the ferry, and you will be taken to World's Edge Island/Faraway Island, where you can catch Mew.

Cloning Pokemon in Emerald
1. Save in front of the PC in the Battle Tower.
2. Deposit the pokemon you want to clone in an empty box.
3. Leave the PC and save again.
4. Go to the PC one more time and withdraw the pokemon you want to clone, the one that's in an empty box.
5. Talk to the lady on the far right, and she will ask you to join a Multi Battle.
6. Select Yes and choose any two pokemon.
7. When she asks if you want to save, select Yes.
8. If everything so far has been done correctly, the game will wait about one second before doing anything else.
9. It doesnt matter what you do from her, the One Second wait was the glitch taking place.
10. Turn off your game, and now the cloned pokemon is both in the PC and in your party.

Note: Most people have reported no side effects, but quite a few people have had thier Pokemon deleted. As with all glitches, there is always a risk to your game.
