Provided you can still find it after all this time...

It is good though if you can.

i bet i could. i have 2 copies of blue version, the original i got when i was 8, and i have a saved game on it where i have all 150 pokemon. then my second copy is one i found at a collectors shop and got for 5 bucks. i use it to mess around, but also play the game seriously, i have mew on it and stuff

Yes, it's worth playing. Although if you can I sugest Crystle. Crystle has it's advanteges BUT, Silver has it's andvanteges too. Like, getting Dritini at the game slots....I don't like GolD but thats just me. Silvers better!:thpoke_249: :signduh:

Yes, yes you would.

Althought I'd go for Crystal rather than Gold/Silver.

I have to agree. If you want to try GSC, go straight for Crystal.
All you're really missing out on are Octillery(loser), Ampharos and a mint Lugia. You practically get a free Suicune plus Move Tutor and tons of improvements over Silver.

Otherwise, Silver is totally better than Gold .

Are they're any shinies on Crystal?

Yes there are, same as in G and S.

GSC are all good choices for good pokemon games, but, personally, I'd go with Silver. I don't know why I didn't like Crystal better than Silver, but it stuck. Silver has the only lv. 40 Lugia in all the games (meaning he gets Aeroblast), and the designs for the pokemon in S are much better than in G...it's been so long since I've seen C, so i can't really say which designs I like better, S or C. But still, Silver is worth it.

Also...I didn't know that C had a move tutor!:shhh:

Hey strings, if you do get G/S/C and you can't decide which starter pokemon to have, just get all three of them by doing this glitch http://uk.faqs.ign.com/articles/594/594811p1.html. I've tried it and now I've got a meganium, a typhlosion and a feraligatr.

Gold is good but Crystal is the best of the G/S/C series

That is true, but if you only find Gold at a good price, get it. You'll have alot of fun (just don't believe anybody that tells you that you can get any Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Diamond/Pearl Pokemon on Gold/Silver/Crystal).

Yes. Definately. I would reccomend getting Crystal though, due to all the new features.

It's classic, but the third editions are always better (yellow, crystal, emerald) Just make sure when choosing the editions, get the ones with pokemon you like.
But yes, crystal is the top pokemon game in my opinion.
