You dont just find mew... You only get them from special events. The last one is already over.

The latest event has only recently finished. I doubt there would be another one for a looong time. So unless you trade from a friend, you can't really get it...

You'll need the Old Sea Chart that you could get from a nintendo event, but only in the US and the last one has alredy been. :p

There was the Toys'R'us Mew event back in September but I doubt they'll be having that again for the rest of eternity.

Anyway, this has been answered. To summarise - you can only get Mew from a Nintendo Event or using a cheating device. Seeing there has recently been an event, and they usually only do one event for each Pokemon, it is unlikely that you'll be given the chance to get Mew again, in which case you can try and find a friend who would be willing to trade with you, or if you intend to get Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, you can wait as Mime Jr said, and then you'll be able to find someone to trade with.
