Which Pokemon Should I choose for my Team? [Archive]

Well, I've got a bunch of pretty strong Pokemon, but I don't know which ones should be in my party. Most of these aren't evolved, so I don't have level or moves, but I would appreciate it if you could make up the best team you could with these Pokemon.

Dragon: Flygon

Rayquaza

Salamence

Water: Kyogre

Swampert

Crawdaunt

(I'm trying to find a Feebas to evolve into Manectric)

Electric: Manectric

Raichu

Dark: Mightyena

Houndoom

Normal: Ursaring

Ground: Sandslash

Camerupt

Groudon

Fire: Groundon

Camerupt

Houndoom

Psychic: Gardevoir

Metagross

So those are the best Pokemon in the game. If you have any strong Pokemon I can catch (I have Emerald), please post it here.

That was an error, I meant Milotic. But I can't find the Feebas. I've searched everywhere in the rivier.

Groudon can serve as fire becausehe can learn alot of Fire attacks.

Okay to get feebas you have to go to dewford and talk to this one boy to change the trendy phrase and then you go to fortree and ther'll be six spots. Feebas is in one of them so search search search and then once you catch him make sure you give him a poke block whatever its called and train it to evolve it to a milotic. And i was shocked when i found out that groudons a pure ground, but hey get used to it.

I know, but do you know if certain phrases put the squares in the exact same spot in ever game? If yes, could you tell me a phrase and where the locations are?

But anyway, have you got any ideas of a good team using the Pokemon I have?

Salamance, Riachu, Swampert ,Flygon- Those are great. Depending on what game you have get groudon or Kyogre. If you have emerald then get Rayquaza. Hope that helped......:ermm:

but hes better as a physical sweeper. his max attack is 399, while max special attack is 299. take your pick

Although I agree with you (he is a better P-Sweep), with Drought, damage from his Fire Moves will be boosted by 50%. He can make an okay S-Sweep to throw people off.

He is however an "uber" and I would suggest againt using him at all.

Sorry but, I am sure Sunny Day's effect only increases its Fire-typed moves to 50% of its original strength.

Also, I would really hope that you do not have Legendaries in your party. Not that I don't like them or anything, but they cannot be used to enter the Battle Tower/Frontier competitons.

To me, a unique team is if you have Pokemon you personally prefer. Therefore, your own team of Manectric, Houndoom, Salamence, Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza are unique.

Lastly, if you HAD to include a legendary, use EITHER Kyogre or Groudon. This is because of their weather effect ability. However, if you can use them in your own special way, go ahead:biggrin:!

Thanks mistdragon. Do you have any idea what I should put instead of Groudon and Rayquaza? And would it help you if I put the moves on the topic too? (I also added some other pokemon that I forgot on the list

(But right now, I just use my three unlegendary Pokemon for Battle Frontier)
I replied to your movesets question too... Lol...

Erm, while, you could include Milotic, Skarmory and maybe... a grass Pokemon you like. Try to give them a diverse range of moves. Skarmory should preferably be used as a staller, with Drill Peck, Double Team, Agility, Baton Pass. This enables you to pass the extremely fast speed and evasion to the other Pokemon. Drill Peck is used for training.

Milotic should be given Surf, Ice Beam, Recover and maybe Toxic or Mirror Coat. Mirror Coat is useful due to its High Special Defense. The rest are pretty simple. You can replace Milotic with Starmie or such.

A Grass Pokemon you like... I am not good with Grass-types. Sorry...

If you want a unique team get some NUs or UUs. :P

Everyone only uses the big OUs like Metagross and stuff.

My ingame team is UUs/NUs. :o

Well, lets put it in a more easy way. Do you any team better than the one I am using now?

I have:

Salamence Lv. 64

Manectric Lv. 64

Houndoom Lv. 64

Kyogre Lv.77

Groudon Lv.77

Rayquaza Lv. 83

And the thing is, I want a unique team. I don't want a team that someone already has.
Yuk ubers suck.
I would go with
Swampert(or milotic), Houndoom, Raichu, Sandslash, Gardivoir, a grass pokemon(Meganium is catchable)

the only 3 great pokemon i see on that list are metagross, houndoom and salamence, i also recomend tyranitar for a ground type if you can get it

after you complete the pokedex then u go to the prof. guy and he will give you a choice between cyndaquil, totodile, chikorita.

Where do you catch Meganium?
Yes, according to lucario12. But complete is, THANKFULLY, without DEOXYS or JIRACHI. Therefore, just collect the 200 Pokemon in the Hoenn Dex. Achieve the Diploma in Lilycove City's Cove Lily Motel. Then go to Professor Birch and choose the starter you want.

Haha, I asked this same exact question weeks ago...

Uber is very strong Pokemon, or Pokemon that simply... 'pwns' other Pokemon. For example, MEW is an Uber cause it learns everything and can own anyone... Lol... But its not always the case.

Um well, if you meant the Ubers like... well... Marowak @ Thick Club, its kind of unfair as your damage is extreme, and when you battle with your friends, they might restrict use of such Pokemon.

Anyways, most Ubers are Legendary and are UNABLE to participate in the Battle Fronteir. Therefore... I suggest against it.

lol, in that case u can win the battle using only:

Blissey (leftovers)
bold nature
EVs: 252 def, 252 HP, 6 whateva
toxic
softboiled
counter (4 aeroblast)
siesmic toss/protect

blissey is also an uber poke, but it will be fun to c the faces of ur friends once they r all defeated by a single not legendary poke.

BTW if blissey is defeated, then use maybe a claydol or other good tank n for ur last 2 pokes, n say bb to their legendaries

PS: remeber that power is not the only way to win, u also need strategy

Oh. Well, since you mentioned, then might as well use Ubers too. However I still suggest against it...

Wouldn't it be cool if you won their Ubers without using any? =x
