The discussion thread is finally here. With 19 members, 4 months and nearly 550 posts, I feel this is needed. 4 members have joined in the past week, and most are confused to what's going on. It will be a place to discuss Fight to the Top as well as a reference to anyone who wants to join.
First off, it's important to say that the current teams, Shock and Freeze, have the following members who have made a decent amonut of posts, or is an active tribute to the role play.
For Team Shock:
Tyro the Typhlosion
Ryno the Rhydon
Rage the Arcanine
Metagross the, er, Metagross
Snap the Mightyena
Ranger the Raichu
Fire Heart the Ratatta
Note: Both Ryno and Metagross have betrayed Team Shock and turned to an unnamed team that is out to get both Team Shock and Team Freeze.
For Team Freeze:
Tiny the Swampert
Luker the blue Venusaur
Quaker the Pupitar
Big the Alakazam
Twofo the shadow Typhlosion
Mist the Vaporeon
Claire the Espeon
Swift the Espeon
Shadow the Umbreon
Yes, this team has a lot of eeveelutions on it. That wasn't meant to happen.
Okay! Now that that's cleared up, and you know the characters to the teams, it's time to get onto the plot.
Before you read:
My brother's playing hard rock music, so my grammar may not be perfect.
Please take the time to read this. I spent four hours on it.
Part One: The First Mountain
Tiny and an old team mate, DS the short-lived Flygon, began their accent up Mt. Beacon, but they weren't alone. From Team Shock were Tyro the Typhlosion and Rage the Arcanine.
They all wound up in a cave together, fighting off hordes of Zubat and a leader Crobat.
Eventually, Tiny used an Earthquake attack and collapsed the cave. DS didn't make it out, and his fate is unknown.
Tiny and Rage went around to the other side of the mountain, not seeing each other until Rage encountered four fields.
Tiny met up with him, and they fought. With a type advantage, Tiny would've won, but they were forced into a double battle on each other's side. Their opponents were a Raichu and a Gyarados.
Before anyone won, Tiny saw a twister and tried to ride it, hating to assist the other team. He crash landed by a cliff. He sent an Earthquake up the middle and climbed up.
Meanwhile, Big was making his first attempt at going up the mountain. He was stopped by a few Gengars, but a Snorlax saved the day.
He tripped and fell farther down the mountain.
Near where Tiny set up camp, Deon the Alakazam went to sleep under the crack that Tiny had made.
He never woke up.
A few hundred feet up, Tiny was looking inside an elevator, and pondering over the fact that there was an elevator on the mountain. It was a trap, and he got stuck.
Way on the other side of the mountain, Rage was trying to make sense of a cave with levers, lava, and other lethal things. He almost got caught in the lava, but escaped.
It led him to a steel room, where he faced off against five Steelix.
After a while, Tiny escaped from the elevator by attacking his way out. He saw a small tunnel, slightly buried in the snow, so he squeezed in.
After a long and uncomfortable slide through the narrow, steel tunnel, Tiny dropped out into a cavern made of bluish, glowing ice. He walked through it, made a small Earthquake to weaken the walls, and took some of the ice. Looking through a window in the cave, he saw Rage fighting some Steelix. Then he looked up and saw Regice! Running for his life, he figured that Rage would soon see Registeel.
Tyro had been slacking! Realizing his mistakes, he made an effort and used Flame Wheel to get up the mountain.
After four hours of exhausting work, Tyro finally caught up with Rage.
At the same time, Big caught up with Tiny. Tiny was glad to see Big, and vice versa. Bt Big, definiately giddy, probably was being a bit of a clutz, and he fell down into a trap.
Tiny chased Big down, but was amazed to see that, well, he couldn't see. Or for that matter, move. Big was no where to be heard, because Tiny couldn't see. But he could hear voices. There was a male and a female. They were saying that Tiny was strong, but would give in eventually. Then a ray lit up the room, and Tiny saw that his enemies were Latios and Latias, and they were using a beam made of ice! Tiny began to regain his strength, and escaped. He saved Big with the help of ten other pokemon. They all ran away, accept one. It was an Ivysaur. He said his name was Luker. Nothing was abnormal about him at all, but then he took Tiny's crystals. He stuffed them in his tulip, and turned a bright blue! This enabled him to be more powerful, and every once in a while, he changed his set of moves. There were always four, but only one of them was extra powerful. Shiny Solarbeam. It didn't need to take it sunlight, and was a bit more powerful than a normal Solarbeam.
Big said farewell to Tiny and Luker for a while, and left. He went to a cave where he found a Typhlosion and her Cyndiquil children. They got in a fight with Latios and Latias from before! The Typhlosion fainted, along with two of her children. The last one helped Big out, for it didn't faint. Eventually Big and the little Cyndiquil won the fight, and the Cyndiquil evolved into Quilava. It proclaimed its name to be Twofo, and wanted to join Big to avenge Latios and Latias, who, in the end, killed the Typhlosion and the rest of her children. They continued on.
Rage got a flight from a Zapdos to the top of the mountain! He realized that their was more than one mountain. In total, there were seven. And it wasn't Mt. Beacon. It was the Beacon Mountain Range. He ran down the virtually safe side of the mountain, covered in tall grass.
Near the bottom of the next mountain, Rage set up camp.
Part Two: The Second Mountain
Tiny and Luker got to the top, and ran down. They set up their camp close to Rage. They both kept quiet.
But in a few hours, Big and Twofo came running down screaming Tiny's name at the top of their lungs.
When they got to the bottom, Tiny and Luker told them to be quiet, for Rage was sleeping. Tiny introduced Luker, and Big introduced Twofo. They all went to sleep.
In about an hour, Twofo and Big woke up. A shadow Blastoise confronted them. It attacked Twofo, and he turned into a shadow Quilava! But he was a bit different than other shadow pokemon because you could immediately tell he was shadow from his grayish purple tint.
Dracomancer was a Dragonite that was one of the original members of Team Freeze. He had his wings damaged, and was unable to fly. He had been trudging up the mountain for a while, but an avalanche hit him. He suffocated and died.
Tiny and Luker saw Twofo as a shadow pokemon. They both freaked out, until they were told that Twofo was still "Twofo" in heart.
On a flat area of the second mountain, Rage found a Chickorita named Diamond in a ditch that had been to the seventh mountain. It offered to be Rage's navigator, and Rage gratiously accepted.
Tiny, Luker, Big and Twofo were all climbing the mountain together when they saw Rage with Diamond. Naturally, they attacked. Luker was the first to, but Tiny told him to stay back, for Luker had a bad type advantage. But fortuitously, they got away in time, only to see Big and Twofo encouraging the battle.
Tiny changed his mind and went back to attacking, with Luker, Twofo and Big behind him.
Tyro and Ryno came back in time, however, with attacks. Tyro immediately went to attacking Luker, and Ryno attacking Tiny.
The battle raged on for a long time, but neither side was victorious. Ryno fainted however, and fell off a two hundred foot cliff.
The next day, all pokemon involved in the quarrel were damaged, but managed to move on. Tyro was moving on with a heavy heart, though, because Ryno was gome, probably dead.
Near dusk, Tyro saw Ryno, alive, trying to catch up! They ended up battling a Sceptile, Cacturn, Plusle and Zangoose. They fought them off with a bit of difficulty. Tiny and Luker left Big and Twofo, while Ryno and Tyro left Diamond and Rage.
Tiny and Luker set up camp at night. The next day, the rain was torrential, and hail began to fall. It was getting dangerous, but they both made it out alive.
The next day, Luker had enough strength to evolve into a blue Venusaur!
But Tiny, Luker, Tyro and Ryno met up. They battled again. Once again, neither party was victorious.
Big and Twofo were hiking up once again, at an elevation slightly higher than Tiny, Luker, Tyro and Ryno. No one seemed to know where Rage and Diamond were.
Big and Twofo were having trouble battling a new force, the Pokemon Mafia. (lol) Tiny and Luker helped fight a bit, but ended up ditching the idea. Naturally, Big and Twofo did the same.
Luker and Tiny split up for the first time, but they knew where they would meet again. Luker was using his vines to climb up a cliff, while Tiny was taking the long way.
They met up at the top without any difficulties.
Meanwhile, Rage and Diamond were separated from the rest of the group. They were having a heated discussion. It lead to an arguement. Rage was arguing about family ties, how all of his family had died.
In the end, it was all a trap. Diamond had led Rage to a monster known only as Jiadon. Jiadon told Rage that Diamond was nothing but a traitor to him, and that he had put Diamond there for Rage to find.
A huge battle sprung out. In the end of it, Jiadon killed Diamond, and Rage and Jiadon killed each other.
Rage and Diamond died, but so did Rage's worst enemy.
The next day, everyone made it to the top of the second mountain. But- to their surprise- it was no mountain. The second mountain was a volcano!
Tiny, Luker, Big and Twofo all advanced into the volcano, and were confronted by Groudon. After a few attacks to slow it down, they all took shelter in a pocket cave in the volcano where they couldn't be reached.
Tyro and Ryno, being pokemon that could obsorn heat, ran into the erupting volcano!
They mananged to get into the cave that Team Freeze was in, while Groudon went back to its eternal sleep.
A new pair of Latis introduced themselves to Team Freeze as the Lava Latis. Tiny and Luker were both doomed.
Twofo saved the day by using shadow attacks which had a very good affect. Tiny and Luker, in short, escaped with Big and Twofo.
A valuable member of Team Shock, Ranger the Raichu, joined the outnumbered Tyro and Ryno.
Tiny and Luker fell in a trap door which had all sorts of things inside. There were various blueprints of the Lati rays, different orb pictures, etc.
What caught their mind was a history of the range, explaining the Beacon Explosion that occured thousands of years ago, when the legendaries got in a huge fight. The mountain range exploded, and many chaos orbs were created, with one ultimate one.
Once again, Team Freeze and Team Shock found each other. Naturally, Tiny wanted to battle. Team Shock didn't have much choise, so they fought back.
Amidst the chaos of battling, an old friend of Ranger's, Snap the Mightyena, came to the battle. She would become a part of Team Shock.
Tiny and Luker retreated, realizing that there was no way they could win.
Team Shock was victorious.
A bit cocky from their win, Team Shock wasn't expecting a Golem to confront them and battle. They fought it, but it was unusually powerful.
Tiny and Luker caught up, and offered to help out, knowing that it would be best to know Team Shock if they ever came into battle again.
They refused.
A Tyranitar joined the Golem, and all members of Team Shock began to regret refusing Team Freeze's offer.
Luker got caught behind. He rubbed hard against the cave wall by accident, and a stalagtite slashed him in the side. He began to suffer from major blood loss, and he grew faint. He fell over with blood gushing out of his body, and Tiny was nowhere to be seen.
Tiny picked another fight with Team Freeze, making it a four to one match. He immediately saw his weakness and ran.
He bumped into the newest Team Freeze member, a Houndoom named Max who would make a short stay with Team Freeze.
Finally, all of the pokemon on both teams made it out of the cave. Luker was dying, and Tiny and Max worked hard to nurse him back to health.
Tyro and Ryno came along, and Ryno was as silent as ever. Tyro used Double-Edge on Tiny, but Max blocked the hit.
A Charmeleon by the name of Volcano seemed to have some ties with Max, and they went together.
In the end, the battle went to Team Freeze, but Max and Volcano never left the battlefield.
It was night time, so everyone went to sleep, except Max and Volcano, who were stuck, and condemned to stay there forever.
All other members of both teams made it to the bottom of the third mountain!
Part Three: The Third Mountain
Tiny and Luker faced off with a Dialga, but the Dialga fled because it was scared of Luker's unusual markings.
Big and Twofo caught up with Tiny and Luker after facing off with Dialga's counterpart, Palkia.
A bit later in the week, Team Freeze encountered a few EX pokemon, which were super powered. Twofo and Big were immediately knocked out. Tiny and Luker fled, and came back later to get their fallen team mates.
What they saw, they never expected. The EX pokemon were fainted, and there was a huge, energy orb of light in the middle of the cave.
Tiny punched it, but his arm was cut off in a strange energy force! Tiny began to feel faint. He fell down, close to dead. Luker called for help. The orb told him through telepathy that their was no hope.
It was wrong. All of Team Freeze and even Team Shock came to help Tiny.
He was restored after a long time, but in that time, Ryno betrayed Team Shock and payed for it. Luker was told that he was the chosen one.
It haunts him to this day.
Both teams parted their ways, and remained enemies. It was nice to everyone that the teams co-operated for once.
Tiny and Luker found a classified secret hole, it had some more information on the range. Inside, their was a document explaining that the self destruction of the range was going to happen, and Big and Twofo needed to destroy something that they picked up earlier: the Gigas orb. It gave them incredible power, but it would save everyone's life if it were destroyed. Big took care of it.
Farther up, Luker discovered a small hidden area inhabited by weak, hostile Marill. Luker and Tiny split up again. Tiny went up the river in the hidden area, and Luker went around. This proved to be a mistake.
Ranger, Tyro and Snap ran into an erie voice telling Ranger to "turn back". No one else could hear it.
Trying to ignore it, they began poking fun at a little Ratatta. Its parents came, and Team Shock fled.
Continued in next post.
