Welcome to the Mixed Groups/Clubs Section!

Description

Here, you can start a Pokémon or non-Pokémon related Group/Club for your favorite topic. Whether it's a group/club for one of the good guys like Ash, Misty, or Brock, to the villains like Team Rocket, Team Magma, and Team Aqua, your group can be whatever you want — non-Pokémon related also! Organize and talk about your group/club here!

Rules

All of the normal forum rules apply here. That means:
1. Use Sentences (Capitalizations & Periods)
2. No Inappropriate Behavior/Junk Posts
3. Respect other members
4. Have fun!
Note: Inappropriate behavior and junk posts may lead to ban. I have little patience for this kind of behavior

Please keep in mind that groups without a purpose will be closed down. (Dedicating an entire club to a single Pokémon isn't a good idea.) You are free to chat with other members in your club, but don't turn it into a chit-chat thread; it is reccommended to back up your club's foundation with engagements, such as member activites or special events.

Also, in your thread's first post, you must state whether your club is:
A War Team
A Non-War Team
or
Decision Pending

The War

If you're wondering what the War is, it's an activity that was created during the Summer of 2003. The idea was for different teams, mostly based on the different organizations seen in the games, (originally Team Magma, Team Aqua, Team Rocket, and Team Trainer, but now including many more) to compete to see who was the best team.

In order to determine this, several sections have are set up. Each week during the War, members of each team compete by trying their best in the following topics, and the judges of each choose who they believe displayed the greatest preformance over the course of that week. The result for winning is the awarding that/those member(s) with points for their team.

In addition, players may move around a digital map of the Pokémon World (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2767), acquiring territoriy as they move through URPG battles (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61) to be proclaimed as conquerer (or saver) of the earth.

How to Play

']A NEW BEGINNING
After the failure of the WAR's second season, the WAR leaders knew that some drastic changes needed to be made. What we've come up with is an open-ended system that will change how you look at the game forever.

The main theme of the WAR's third season is to "Take Over The World", and we mean it. This time around, WAR teams will be battling for control of every territory in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Orre and the Orange Islands. These seemingly distant continents have all been connected, and travel between them will be allowed.

TURNS
Much like the game of Risk, this season will be played out in turns.

A turn is one week long.
During a turn, you may participate in WAR sections and the leaders may buy abilities.
The attack declarations must be submitted to HKim by Monday night.
HKim will then post the attacks.
The Territory battles must be completed by Saturday Night.
The URPG Refs of territory battles must post the results in the Action Thread.

TERRITORIES
All main locations on the map, not including routes, are considered territories, and they can be occupied by teams.

Each Territory is owned by only one team.
Some territories are neutral.
One team may relinquish territories to another team.
The place your team starts out on the map is considered your team's HQ. DO NOT LOSE THIS TERRITORY! Loss of HQ will prevent you from attacking for two turns and your team will lose all points they have.

ATTACKING TERRITORIES
If you wish to gain more land, you must attack the territories of rival teams.

Each team may attack only 5 territories at most per turn.
The attacking team must choose a territory (that they own) that connects to the attacked territory in order to attack.
If two teams attack another team in the same location, at the same time, the team that declared their attack first battles the defender. After that, the second attacking team battles the victor.
If two teams attack the territory of each other (By this we mean neighbor territories. Like if Pallet Town attacks Viridian City the same turn that Viridian City chooses to attack Pallet Town.), the team that declares first battles the territory defender. If the defender loses, the team attacking from that territory cannot attack. If the defender wins, the team in that territory can attack the opposing team.
Attacking a neutral (Not Occupied) territory is free, but requires one attack action per each neutral territory.
You may only attack once from one territory to another. Any other attack must be between a different starting point and/or different ending point.

TERRITORY BATTLES
Once you've decided which territories you'd like to attack, it's time for the actual battle to happen.

Battles over territory occur in a 3 VS 3, Stadium, No Items, URPG Battle unless abilities say otherwise.
Each team leader must assign members to attack and defend.
There must be one different member for each attack.
For defense, leaders may assign any member for any number of times.
Under normal conditions, if you win, the territory is yours. If you lose, it isn't.
If a territory battle doesn't happen, neither side loses or gains any territory.

TEAM RELATIONS
Battling for land isn't the only interaction you can have with other teams. Just like in a real WAR, diplomacy will also play a large role.

No two teams may merge during the WAR.
Teams may arrange treaties between each other during the WAR. Public treaties will be posted.
Declaration of Alliances must be made public.
Any other treaties are allowed, including: non-aggressions, war pacts, trade pacts, and peace treaties.
Also, things like territories, points, and promises may be used in treaties. (Don't be afraid to be creative in the deals you strike! Paying teams a certain amount of points for something in return is allowed!)
However, remember, if one team breaks the treaty without the other's approval, there may be some bad feelings. The war leaders are not responsible for any "revenge" on backstabbers.

WAR COUNCIL
Much like the United Nations, the leaders of each WAR team will need to meet to vote on issues that will affect the world. Don't worry, though -- security is amazingly tight, and all shoes will be checked for bombs.

The War Council is composed of the team leaders of each team.
Every 2 weeks, the council is summoned to discuss a proposition.
The proposition is decided by the War Leaders before being put forward to the Team Leaders.
Each Council Member has one vote.
Whichever issue recieves the most votes, is the one that goes through.
In case of a tie, the war leaders that aren't also team leaders will have the final decision.

WAR SECTIONS
All of your favorite WAR sections are making a return this season, and they're being joined by three new ones. This season, earning points for your team will be much more important.

Pokemon Roleplaying: 10 years after the first war, both old and new teams emmerge to achieve what their goals. Here, you use your roleplaying skills to earn points. 2 points will be awarded in this section.
Pokemon Fan Fiction: Who can write the best story? Here, authors compete, earning a point if they have the best story. There is no limit to what kind of story it is as long as it obeys the rules of the forum. 2 points will be awarded here.
Pokemon Fan Art: Here, artists from every team create pictures and masterpieces based around a certain theme. 2 points will be awarded here.
Pokemon Trivia: The judge will post trivia questions, one at a time on a basis of whenever she's on. The team(s) that answers the most trivia questions earns a war point.
Debate: Using logic and passion, members argue over serious issues like abortion and the death penalty. The best debaters win. 2 points will be awarded here.
Creative Writing: Poetry, short stories, and many other forms of writing are allowed here. Themes will be created each week. 2 points will be awarded here.
Comedy: This section is based on what you can do to make the readers laugh. Many different forms are allowed, including writing, sound, and video. 2 points will be awarded here.
NetBattle: Each competitor in this section must compete and earn battle points. 1 battle point is earned whenever one member of a team defeats a member of another team. The member who earns the most battle points, earns a point for his team. In the case of a tie, the members with the highest battle points each earn a war point for their teams. The rules for a War Battle includes no legendaries, no hiding your pokemon before battle, and that each pokemon must have a different item.
Scavenger Hunt: Every week, the judge will have several items, pictures, or other things hidden around the internet. The team that finds the most of these objects, earns a point. In case of a tie, one point is given to each tying team.

WELFARE
In an effort to make this WAR more balanced, the WAR Leaders have created a Welfare system. If your team's falling on hard times, this might be just the boost you need.

Each team gets a free point bonus depending on how many territories they own.
The welfare is determined by 50/# of territories.
The maximum number of points given each turn is 7.

THE DOLE MART
If you're having trouble taking over territories, a visit to the Dole Mart might be just what you need! We sell both Special Abilities and Legendary Pokémon for WAR points! You won't regret buying our high quality merchandise! Much like a pay per view movie, the Special Abilities are only one time use. Buying a Legendary on the other hand, is like buying a DVD - once you pay for it, it's yours. Legendary abilities can only be used once per turn, though. To see exact costs for everything, as well as descriptions of what they do, visit the Dole Mart's thread.

VICTORY CONDITIONS
In keeping with our open-ended theme, there are now four ways to win...

Domination: One team must conquer 2 out of the 5 regions.
Alliance: Two teams with an alliance must conquer 3 regions. For each additional ally, an additional region must be conquered.
Economic: A team collects 100 points. (Be careful if you go for this one - if your team loses all of it's territories, your team will lose everything else, too. This includes all earned WAR points and any Legendaries you may have owned.)
Orb: A team recovers its orb and holds it for 5 turns. Each orb begins in a hidden location in an opponent's territory. The orb cannot be moved. When a team conquers the territory which holds its own orb, then it has captured its orb.

For those of you who will be participating in the Netbattle portion of the war, whenever I am online, I am hosting the PE2K Colosseum server for everyone. I should be online often, so if you go in Netbattle, look for the PE2K Colosseum.

00bers will get you kicked immediately, so do not bring:

Latias
Latios
Deoxys
Mewtwo
Lugia
Ho-oh
Groudon
Kyogre

Otherwise, you will not be let in.

Currently, these are the Teams that have been inducted into the War.
Team Aqua-Frost (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279)
Team Elite (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1776)
Team Flora (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=218)
The Magnificent Alliance (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34)
Team Nox (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=185)
Team Trainer (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41)
Team Tri-Blade (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2621)

If you wish to be participate in the War, you must either: A.) create a Team that has at least 5 members on it*; or B.) join a Team already accepted into the War. Pick whatever team suits you best.

Territory Acquistion Participation Requirements

Due to a recent change in events, we are allowing the use of already existing URPG accounts to be used in the war competition. This means if you already have a URPG account in existance, the Pokemon that you have earned are yours to use in the war. The rules of the URPG used in the war will fully follow with the URPG Rules (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61) that are already established.

However, other conditions apply:

1. If you DO NOT have a URPG account, then you must create one, even if it is only going to be used for the war. If you are applying for a URPG account for the war, then you must select three (3) Pokemon for your URPG account. These Pokemon are fully evolved and MUST be labled as WAR POKEMON in your URPG stats.

These conditions also apply...
Any WAR POKEMON that are in your URPG stats will be returned when the war is finished. These Pokemon are NOT yours to keep. Also, you may NOT choose legendaries.
If you have WAR POKEMON in your stats and you earn a Pokemon through capture stories, auction, or any other legitimate means that the normal URPG rules allows, then you MUST replace one of the WAR POKEMON that you have with the Pokemon that you have just earned.
Any Pokemon, Items, Money you obtain during the course of the war are yours to keep and use for battles both in the War and the normal URPG. When the war is done, these thingsn that you have earned are permanently yours to keep.
If you earn Pokemon during the course of the war, then AT THE END OF THE WAR you are also allowed to choose a starter Pokemon and will also recieve $3000 for your established URPG account.

2. If you ALREADY have a URPG account but you have UNDER THREE Pokemon, then you may choose 1 or 2 fully evolved WAR POKEMON until you have NO MORE THAN Three (3) Pokemon. These same WAR POKEMON follow the same rules for new URPG accounts. They must be labeled as WAR POKEMON in your stats, cannot be legendaries, and upon earning new Pokemon in the URPG, these WAR POKEMON must be replaced by your newly obtained Pokemon. Again, any Pokemon that you obtain during the war are yours to keep, and can be used in both the standard URPG and in the war.

3. If you ALREADY have a URPG account and you have AT LEAST THREE POKEMON OR OVER, then you will not be using WAR POKEMON. Everything from your account stays EXACTLY the same. During the war, any changes such as new Pokemon or cash gains are yours.

With that said, all you need to do is state whether you're using an existing account, using an existing account BUT using WAR POKEMON (Must state which ones), or you are creating a new account with THREE WAR POKEMON (Again, state which ones). Once you have been approved, post your stats in the URPG Stats thread. If you have any War Pokemon, you must state that they are war pokemon in your Statistics post in the thread.

That's all. Thank you for your time and welcome to the war.

Note: This has been approved by Curtis and the War Leaders.

After you are on an accepted Team, you are free to participate in any/all of the following sections:

Check the date. This was for Season 3.

Obviously we're going to adjust the rules for Season 4, so just hang tight and we'll fix it.
