Existence works in such a way that an infinite number of parallel universes coexist in the same space and time, but in each, everything vibrates at a different frequency to all the others, therefore being in a separate dimension and not being able to see or touch another universe. The balance between these universes is regulated by existence, but sometimes the frequencies of vibration alter slightly. Even a slight change is enough to open up a rupture between universes, which comes in the form of a mysterious trans-dimensional channel known as the Lifechain. None have ever been through the Lifechain and returned to their home dimension to tell of it, so few are the ruptures. Those who make it to another dimension die from the drastic shock of their vibration rate being altered.
However, in these dark days, the apperances of the Lifechain are increasing. Over the last ten years, Lifechain sightings have been reported in one dimension as increasing in number by 50% per year.
People in this particular dimension begin to worry, as the Lifechain acts like a tornado when its rupture is open. A twisting column of swirling purple mist reaches further than the end of space itself, and deep through the planet, back out the other side, and to the end of space in that direction. The Lifechain will sometimes devastate, and sometimes nothing will be harmed in its prescence.
In this dimension, the last Lifechain appearance was merely one day ago. But one thing was special about this particular appearance. There were four ruptures in vibration, one located in the bustling city of Saffron, one in the deep hills of Silver Cave, one inside Seafoam Islands, and one atop Sky Pillar. At each rupture, one creature was thrown out into this dimension. To the naked eye, they would appear to be a normal human being, but there are strange and special powers inside them.
These creatures are the living avatars of the Lifechain. Between them, they carry DNA, mostly dormant, of every creature that has ever passed into the Lifechain.
Their tasks are unclear, their memories are virtually nonexistent. One thing only they remember - the word Salagrin. Its meaning is unknown, but chances are the Lifechain Avatars will need to find out.
This RP is open to 4 People Only (1 PLACE LEFT!). If you wish to join, you will play one of the Lifechain Avatars. You may choose where you start from Saffron City, Silver Cave, Seafoam Islands or Sky Pillar, but if someone has already chosen, for example, Saffron City, you cannot choose Saffron City too.

If I make an OOC post, there will be a large bold OOC at the top of my post so you know it is safe to read. This option is not essential, but will add to the reality of the RP and prevents you from "metagame thinking" (that means doing something in character because of something you know out of character).
