can i get a lil help on trading please?

hello,

now my problem is that im having trouble trading between my FireRed and Sapphire versions....in the FireRed, i have beaten the elite four, gotten the national dex, and gotten the ruby and sapphire orbs in the machine on One Island and the machine says "links open to kanto and hoenn regions", yet when i link the gameboys and both are at the upstairs of the pokecenters and they do the save game before the trade like you have to do, but then both just say, "please wait....press b to cancel" and never goes further...any thoughts????

Well, this is a stupid question, but which consoles and Game link cable do you use? I guess you also need to complete Elite four in Ruby too.

yeah that happened to me, just make sure the cables in right or something im not to sure :oops:

it also happened to me but just check if every thing is correct

me as well but you've got to check your link cables and your other game it might be saying something

well in sapphire, my pokemon pc still says someones pc, how do i change that and you think that might affect it? and i just beat the elite four in sapphire and it still doesnt work, this is so darn frustrating, why doesnt it work, both cables i use work for tetris, so the cables are fine.

Oh yes. You need to get to Fallabor town in Ruby, and talk to Lanette at the PC. Then you need to go her house (That's a bit questionable..she invites you in her house just after you have met..), whih is located a bit South-West from Fallabor.

yup, its now lanettes pc, but i still cant freakin trade, this is soooo frustrating, whats going on!!!???

So tell what do you exactly do. I want to know which Pokemon do you trade, what consoles and link cable do you use and so on.

well, two red GBA's, i tried once with teh common black link cable and once with the older multicolored link cable, and its from a FireRed to a Sapphire, im not sure what the pokemon are should matter cause you should be able to trade all of them between the two...no? i appreciate you time on this cause it doesnt make sense to me that i cant do this

From what it sounds like, are you using a Gameboy Color Link Cable?

Cause those dont work on the GBA games.

HAHAH! I was just going to say you use the wrong link cable..and I figured it could be that! Hehehe. You need a GBA link cable.
