Ok, now that Pika's calc is down, I have uploaded Marth's one for all to use. Hope that's ok Marth.

The Calc: http://xheadshotx.freehostia.com/PokemonReferingProgram.xls

How to use(in AIM chat form): http://xheadshotx.freehostia.com/howtouse.html (supplied by LS) =D

And yes, the tutorial is quite messy.

I gave dino a cleaner version of the calculator. Also, I'm gonna write a better tutorial, but for now the chat will do.

Lol, shame the calc is BACK UP. Although, I would recommend Marth's excel calc. It is more accurate and once you have learnt it I think you will find it easier to use. Also, Pika's calc could go back down at any time since it is on the internet.

I'm so saving it for future safety. :P

Marth's is too confusing, IHMO.

Well, someone who can't even spell a four word acronym correctly doesn't have to be able to use it with ease. :P

Ah, yes, that's a personal joke from my brother, who was a big Meowth fan. I decided to leave it as it is since we now use Max Stats, as a small tribute to him.

Since you're talking about Calculators, did anyone besides me try this one (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28890). I'm currently using it when I ref. It's not bad at all, just have to look up Speeds to determine who's faster, and use my calculator at home a bit.

Heh, I've done some tests with that calculator...and it has the damage wrong.
It doesn't use Max Stats;
Starmie, has 324 HP in max stats, for example, and in this calculator it appears with 261 max, always...
Plus, the damage done is wrong too... in the original one the damage is 162 Average, and in this one the Average is 163 =x
Though I must admit it's a better pokedex than netbattles, and a good substitute for it.

Oh, yea, that. It does have Max stats. For the EV boxes next to attack and defense stats, put in 255. That's the max EV stat. This'll give the Pokemon max stats. Then all you have to do is average the min/max damage and divide into the HP.

Ah, I see. While it does have the commodity of just typing the attack, it lacks a control of the damage that has been inflicted on a certain Pokémon.
No wonder why you prefer it Jack, it's the best for reffing Forum Battles.
Both have their pros and cons... try them both and see which one suits you better.

If I can get VB again, I'll code a URPG specific calc that'll be real simple to use. :tongue:

Excel is not hard, but it's slower, and anyways, the Pika's Calc works! :P

I prefer excel, because it helps me remember status conditions etc.

Excel's is cool, but a bit hard to understand.

One question(actually 2):

How you do the STAB(matching type) in the excel one? I try to put 1.5, but it says 1.05 and ruins all. And effevtiveness too doesn't work good, if a move it's not very effective, how you put it in the calc?

I suggest you to re-download the calculator...the STAB is always 1.5 or 1, but you can put other values too. If it's raining, and you have a water pokémon, and you use a water attack, you can put 2.25 for STAB * Rain Boost, for example.
Effectiveness is the same... you can put .25, .5, 1, 2, or 4 in there.
