Do you have a good chance of getting a shiny Pokemon by breeding and getting eggs?

Its the same...Chances is just as slim as ones in the wild.

The answer is found on the 'READ FIRST' post.Scroll down a bit to find it ;)

I have a quick question. I know that shiny pokemon are very rare, but I would like to know if anyone ever actually found one, and if so what exactly did it look like?

My curious side gets the best of me!

Oh, yes, I've found shiny Pokemon, though they're pretty rare. On my LeafGreen game, I found two shinies: a Fearow (which I caught, praise the Lord) and a Diglett (which I knocked out accidently ).

However, on my Sapphire and Ruby game, I have never encountered a shiny Pokemon. They're in the game, but the over 8,000-to-1 odds never happened to me on those two games. And as probably mentioned in the 'Read First' thread, your odds never get better with more encounters. Your odds are always over 8,000-to-1.

You'll find a shiny; just be patient and persistant.

As far as looks, most of them have a distict look to them while some doesn't look that obvious. Go to Pokemon Elite 2000's main site (not the main forum site), look at the upper left hand where a blue block is, and click on 'Sprite Resources'. There, you'll find a list of Pokemon sprites, including special listings for shiny sprites.
