Altering Cave?

Well, I found this cave on Emerald called the 'Altering Cave'. Yes, I am aware that there are caves like this in FireRed/LeafGreen as well, but does anyone know the purpose of the Emeerald one?

ya you have to do somthing in a trade with a mystery gift or somthing, after that jhoto pokemon will start showing up in the cave

Altering cave can also be used to find a shiny of whom you may want. Say i wanted a shiny zubat which i think is the one that first appears in there. I would go there since thats all that appears there.

When you first enter there, there's nothing but Zubats around. But when you use the Mystery gift, you can catch some G/S/C Pokemon there.

NO! Actually, there's a 1/8,000 chance or so I've heard.

M'kay. Anybody know if you can use Mystery Gift with a person with a FireRed game? And you can only use Mystery Gift once with each person, right?

No and no. You can use the function how many times you want (I think). And FireRed doesn't have the mystery gift function.

once you activate the mystery gift it will revael some special jhoto pokemon only found there

No, actually you need to USE the Mystery gift. Not just activate.
