Is my team strong enough?

I just got to Rustboro in Emerald, and my team is as follows

Torchic lvl. 15
Ralts lvl. 11
Lotad lvl. 11

Tell me if I need to level up any more. I will most likely evolve Torchic though

No. Always always train. Get three more pokemon and get almost all of them to level 20-25 and your starter from level 25-30.

Torchic:
Evolve Torchic, then you'll be set.

Ralts:
Raise Ralts to around Level 14, then it'll be fine.

Lotad:
I'm not a fan of the idea of a Lotad, but go ahead and train it if you want a decent Grass/Water Pokemon. I'd suggest Level 14, as well.

Other:
-Capture a Taillow. You'll need a Flying-type. Not to mention, it evolves quickly, at Level 22, I think, but I'm not completely sure.
-Be sure to have a variety of moves. You don't need to worry about this now, as much as you do later. Meaning, don't teach Torchic all Fighting or Fire moves. Instead, maybe one from each catergory, then a Normal move, finishing with another decent ability.

It's your choice.

that's a pretty good team, how about you level up lotad and ralts just about 2 levels and torchic one level.

i dont get y anyone would want six pokes in the beggining cuz then u just waste time training them when they probly wont stay with you and be replaced. just keep what u have, level'em up a little like people have said, and u will eventually find a lot better of a flying type for fly(i use skarm).

dude its the first gym, your lvls dont need to be that high till the third gym

You should train more.

I evolve my torchic at route 102 and Level my Ralt till it learn cunfusion.

Alright now I just left Rustboro and arrived at Dewford. My team is now:

plus i caught a nincada to learn cut, and an abra just for the fun of it, but they won't be part of my team

Try training your Ralts and Lotad a few more levels and have your Torchic evolve into a Combution then you should be fine for your first badge.

Don't underestimate Abra. I turned him into a very powerful level 43 Kadrabra.

Just give abra exp. share and fight high level pokemon and he'll evnetually learn a better move.

NO!!! Alakazam>>>Gardevoir. More Speed, Special Attack than Gardevoir. Unless, you have another idea for a sweeper.

Looking good! I sugest allways training with EVs early to get better. Your three pokemon choices are pretty good, next try a Taillow, if raised propally, then it can be a vital member of your team.

i wouldn't recommend the Hypnosis/Dream Eater combo, I'd go instead with T-bolt, and if we're talking of Emerald, Ice Punch. At least, if you'll go with Hypnosis/Dream eater, just take out psychic with t-bolt, or Gardy will easly fell to a dark type
