On some sites I've been to when you post some teams there is something called EV Distribution. I was wondering what this meant?

EVs (short for effort values) are basically values that your pokemon obtains when they beat another pokemon, which increase can increase your combined stats by up to 127 by level 100. an ev distribution is distributing your evs that you obtain in such a way to get try and get optimal performance from your pokemon's stats.
