Comp Problem...

I keep getting popups (I have a pop up blocker too... ) saying my comp is infected with spyware and adware, etc so...I think my prob is spyware/ad-ware orientated... however, I ran scans using spybot S&D and Ad-AWare 6.0 (Thanks to the section at the main site)... and it aint helping... any siggestions?

if it helps... my hompage is always set to this search browser titled Search for... and it is really annoying... it won't let me change it -_-

Please... I need help. It is starting to drive me insane!!!

OMG! We have the same problem! I can't change my homepage either and it's always a "My Search" thing or something along those lines; and I receive popu-ups like that a lot.

Mine is linksummary.I can change it however, but after a while it becomes linksummary again.. anyone know how to erase this?

As for your problem, I have no idea how to fix it.. I have the google toolbar with popper-blocker and it works like a charm!

I switched to yahoo after reading the thing about the worm and google.,... I used goolge alot and I was wondering if that was the prob... idk thouhg...

Well, first off, the worm on Google is more or less a myth. Google denies it Yahoo! says it's true, so it's a "your-word-against-mine" type deal, I guess. All you can do is keep on trucking. I doubt it's true, because Google's very respectible.

And about the spyware/adware problems... You may want to try re-installing Windows or your web browser. Make sure you get a walktrhu on how to do it, lest you screw somethign up. So be careful, but my only way of fixing it would be to reinstall windows or my web browser.

I had that problem on one comp, so I installed Ad-watch, and it didn't happen again, but eats ram tho =/
