Title says it all. Me and my friend both want Diamond, but with the old exlusives and the games we have I think it would be best if
i got Diamond and he got Pearl, but which do you think is best. And which should I get?

I'll eventually get both, and I just decided to try Diamond out first.
I don't remember which Pokemon it was/were exactly, but there were a few in Diamond that couldn't be found in Pearl that interested me. @_@;; Meh.

Personaly, I think Diamond is the better choice. Besides, my friend Bilee will get Pearl and we promised to trade exclusives anyways. Whoever said you had to catch (or at least keep) the Pokemon you don't like? Dialga has a better sig move in my opinion, and we needed a steel/dragon from at least the 2nd gen. I also think Palkia should've been a dragon/psychic type, but you can't get everything now can you?
