Are your pokemon not as strong like when you use rare candies. So if I level up to 100 with joy seeds would I be as strong as if I did it by leveling the old fashion way?

I don't think there's really any difference whether you train or use Joy Seeds, they'll have the same results. Nothing different.

actually, your stats don't raise to their full potential when you use joy seeds, they on'y get rasied 1/3 of their potential.

eg: normal levelling up- 4HP
Joy Seed- 2-1HP

Actually, stat gains when levelling up in Mystery Dungeon are all preset. Theres no EV training or anything. So using Joy Seeds should be exactly the same as levelling up normally.

sarah is right. Besides you guys should know the difference, this game is not made by gamefreak so dont expext pokemon series and PMD to be the same.

Then how come i had 2 pokemon with exactly the same stats at the same level, both gaining different amounts of stats at level up?

i tested out my theory and the EV trained pokemon was stronger (more HP and Att)

I'm training a Bagon, it's leveled up naturally as in its stats is 3,1,1,1,1, and my Spheal is a 4, 2, 1,1,1. THe other Pokemon, like Zigzagoon/Linone are all 1,1,1,1,1. Can somebody explain this 'process' if possible that the Bagon/Spehal's stats are so different and the other Pokemon always stick to 1s?
