There are rumors going around that there is going to be a new gym leader in Pokemon Emerald, not much is known about this at the moment.

Heh... remeber what happened in GSC in Kanto? Janine replaced Koga as Gymleader and Koga went to the E4... so maybe one of the old gym leaders go to the E4 and someone new replaces him? It's a possibility, oh and Serebii.net has A WHOLE LOT of new information about Emerald if you want to go to their main site and check it out.

I think it's more of a Sonic 3 type thing. When R/S were produced, perhaps the other things were supposed to be in there, but they were removed or just never added so the games could be released sooner. Since a third game was inevitible, they decided to throw it all into there.

As for Hoenn Mirror World, no one will complain about the lack of Emerald locations.

Yeah, but that's because Giovanni disbanded team rocket and the gym was shut down, then when Red defeated Blue in the league, he was shunned to a spare gym.

Everybody can stop not beliving what I say because there is a source, serebii.net. Go to that than on the left hand side go to Emerald in the game section. then from there go to New Characters. His name is Enishida. My mistake. He's not a "rival" but a guy who after every gym he I would guess battles you.But his use is unknown. So there ;P

Heh; a new gym leader sure would make things more interesting. It's things like that that set Emerald apart from R/S that make me look foreword to it...though I am kinda mad that the Emerald PKMN screen looks like the FR/LG screen, and not like the RS one...oh well, I'm just picky.

Do you think the new Gym Leader might use Dark-types? I've yet to see a Dark-type Gym Leader.

Maybe the Gym Leader will up being "possessed" by one of his/her Pokemon...

Hmmm. You're right.

But then again, there was a Steel-type Gym in Johto, and Steel-types were scarce during the G/S/C saga...I think.

They were indeed scarce, and still are, unfortunately in botch cases. However, I would think that a Dark Gym would consist of Dark, Ghost, and Psychic types, since those three types are all binded closely together.
