STORY

The time is the present, with technology bursting, and possibilites seeming unlimited. But, unknown to the entire world, there is a school, which seems like any other, that has a secret. The school has a extracurricular that everyone has to take. This school's students each have a special magical ability that seperates them from most in the entire world. This ability could be small, or god-like in potential. The school teaches all academic subjects, like others. But, like all things, it has it's bad apples. This group is called The Shadows. It's rivals, which are soley for the purpose of good, are called The Shimmers. But, there's also a group that fights for both sides, depending on the situation. They do what their heart feels. They are driven by one emotion, they are The Twilights.

This story is of how a school operates like any other, but it's students and faculty are all but ordinary.

Name: Caoimhbhín ó Broin (English Equivalent: Kevin Byrnes)
Alias: Key

Clique: Trying (unsucsessfuly) to form his own. Sometimes switches between them.
Description: Scraggly mouse-brown hair, striking green eyes under glasses, thin and gangly, quite pale with freckles. Ususally wears jeans, t-shirts, and a hoodie. Goes barefoot (strangely)
Personality: Shy, introverted, considered geeky. Definately not social.
History: Comes from a long line of promanant magicians in Ireland (where he could go by Caoimhbhín [pro. "key-veen", btw]) but when Ireland's equivalent of "Magic High" burned to the ground by a mysterious case of arson, he and his family moved to America (right?)—where he had to anglisize his name—to continue his magic training.
Magical Ability: Can create an invisible force field making him invulnerable from harm. Currently the limits of the force field only make a tight "suit" directly around his body.
Other: Speaks fluent Irish (Gaeilge). Hates most aspects of America: the language, the food, the culture, the music, and resents his parents for bringing him here. Slowly growing colder and colder.

Name: Koneoki
Alias: Kitty, Oki or Koneko
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Clique: Twilight (?)
Description: Her hair is short and brown tied up in twin pigtails with pink ribbons. There are also two, tiny black cat toys tied in with the ribbons. She normally wears a black long sleeved shirt and matching mini skirt with shorts under neath. She even has a black cat collar on her neck with a cute lil'pink bell. Sometimes she'll have her cat ears and tail.
Personality: Oki isn't as depressed and boring as her black outfit might make her look. She's very bubbley and tends to space out. Her main concern is others before herself and she'll believe anything she's told.
History: Oki was born to a lovely woman and handsome man who were very rich and happy. They never really questioned by she always said meow and made cat-like sounds until later in her life and her cat habbits never confused them a bit. When Oki was younger, her dad died in a car crash. His death was something the 3 year old barely understood. She simply believed her dad had gone to this 'heaven' that her mother told her about to visit someone and didn't question why he didn't return until 3 years after. Her mother was a very smart doctor but her husband's death depressed her so she quit her job. She put in small hours so she could be with Oki and they lived off the money the family had been saving for vacations.
When Oki turned 12 she was still in a regular school. In fact, she was almost a regular girl except for the fact that she acted like a cat sometimes. She was in 7th grade and the principle came down to her class. She had Oki come outside and they talked for a few minutes. Then Oki smiled, thanked the woman and went back into class. She was quiet for the rest of the day.

Oki's mother had been murdered that day when coming home from work. Oki tried to stay positive but 5 minutes later she asked the teacher if she could take the Principle's offer and go home. No one knew what had happened until the day after, when the Principle explained that Oki was missing after her mother's death.
The startling news had driven Oki's mind to a point of confusion and anger when her DNA kicked in. Oki turned into a cat and ran away, wondering what she was going to do. Her mother was dead and she had turned into a cat.
A girl found Oki the cat and took her to the pound. An older woman with powers adopted the cat and put the collar on her. Oki changed back into a human after that.
Now Oki goes to this magic school.
Magical Ability: It's not much magical but more or less genetics. No one knows how but Oki's DNA was scrambled and she recieved cat genes. She's atheletic and has a cat's senses. The collar she wears has a charm on it that keeps her from becoming a cat. In stead, Oki just gets cat ears and a tail. Her cat DNA acts up and multiplies when she's confused and forgets that she's human (extreme joy, sorrow, anger, etc.)
Other: Oki meows, nyas, myas, nyos and Mews o.0; She can sense earthquakes and rain (cat senses) and hear well.

Personality:
Is good at heart, but that is kept in check by his fellow Shadows.

History:
When he was very young his parents died in an accident with a truck, luckly he miraculasly survived with only memories of that horrible day, he had no relatives to go to so he was sent to the orphanage and he was also given a bank account with the worth of everything his family owned before they died. The only thing he owned was his clothes and the picture of his family. His orphanage was not too good and the people their made him work, he was so sad of never knowing his parents that he wouldn't resist. All the time a person came to addopt a child he was never chosen because he looked a little too frighting. With every time he got more and more sad until he finaly started to lash out when someone tried to make him work he yelled at them and a explotion would happen in front of them getting bigger and more dangerous everytime. The Orphanage got scared of him and begged someone to addopt him, as it turned out it was a poor family that loved him very much but he didn't know it because he would be too busy thinking of his parrents and doing his best in school but it was hard for him because he was alway getting picked on and teased, sent to the principals office for deffending himself, and getting detention, he managed to get As anyway. When he turned 15 he went to this school were they could help him with his anger and the explotion he caused, he was adopted by the Shadows and was thought to be a very powerful ally, his friends in the group soon changed him into a true shadow, When the Leader finished school that year, he was initiate to become their great leader, too lead them with his great powers, but he never forgot his loving parents and the way the world took them from him.

Magical Ability:
Makes Explotions at different intencity levels, depending on his mood.

Other:
Wants to expand his powers to their highest potential and use them to get revenge for his parents. He is very rich thanks to his bank account that he can't use.

Satou- Make the amulet magic. This is Magic High. But, you have an excellent form. Have the amulet be the thing that turns you into a half human half cat. And nobody else can tap into it's powers. Otherwise, Accepted.

Chaos- You definitely have to make your form a heck of a lot longer. Sorry.

Appearance:
Kurotsu doesn't look like any other magician known or even a normal guy that is interested in magic. He is 6'1" tall and almost 200 Lbs weight. He has dark brown, spikey hair, light hazel colored eyes, tanned skin. He wears a Samurai Kanji (Pretty much as same as Kenshin's but black instead of pink and white). He also has a kattana Sword that uses it in battles, and he recently managed to use magic with his sword.

Personality:
Kurotsu is known as a quiet person, yet he cares and loves a lot. And people who knows him very much understand his calmness. He is so good with those whom are weak and need protection from strong villains, and so cold blooded to those whom are evil and blood-thirst people. He likes nature and is willing to die in order to save a fllower, bird or any living being on Earth.

History:
Kurotsu was a martial artist and one of the best youngsters in the world of swordsmanship. He really knows how to battle in a hand-to-hand combats and using his mighty blade as he was taught by one of the greatest warriors in Japan. One day he lost to a Senior Shadow member who used magic, so Kurotsu understood that magic, mind power and inner energy are as important as physical powers and swords skills in battle. So he went to the school of magic to focuse and raise his hidden potentials within him self. His sword was once broken in battle so his master showed him the oath and gave him a quest to find the Legendary Sword of Inzashu, sword of light, unbreakable and so powerful, a sword of magic...

Magical Abilities:
Kurotsu has found a magical sword, yet he couldn't unleash the hidden powers within the sword. He went to the school of Magic and started to learn, somehow he mastered the powers after joining the school and learning minors about magic he started to train at night and was given the light power of the sword. He is so powerful using the sword and can also shoot some balls of pure light doing massive damage on shadow and evil. He is still learning and has a lot to do...

Name: Yamashati Shou
Alias: Shadow Destroyer

Gender: Male

Description: Yamashati is a newcomer to becoming a wizard, and really doesn't show it eitehr. He is about 5'5" and ways about 110 pounds. He has an athletic build, but doesn't use it a lot due to him being a wizard. He has Dark Brown hair that he let grow out a bit. It's not too long, but the hair in the back of his head is down to his collar of his robe or shirt, and his hair in the front sometimes covers his eyes. His sparkling Blue eyes sometimes look like they are always suspecting something out of the ordinary. Like he knows something bad is about too happen. His Tan skin shows he is outside a lot, practicing his archery. He usually wears a Black Robe that was once worn by his Father. He carries his Bow on his back and sticks his 40 arrows in a quiver he carries.

Personality: He is a quiet boy that gets shy quite easily. But once you get to know him, you will see that he is very courageous and strong in many things. He is very honest and rarely tells a lie. Sometimes he will do things that people might find strange at teh time, but people will benifit from it later. He will sacrifice himself for the good of his friends and for the right of all people. He likes to see justice be served to those who are evil.

History: Yamashati is the master of bowmanship in his home country. He faced even the older people and still beat them. His Father was the master of all bowmanship, and fought in a war while Yamashati was only 10 years old. Somehow, a person snuck up behind him and was able to kill him because he had his back turned. From that day on Yamashati swore vengeance on his Father's name. He trained rigurously, and finally was able to find a way to become even more powerful than his Father, By using magic to make his arrows even stronger. He finally left his Mother to come here.

Magical Ability: He can make his arrows turn into different kinds of arrows. He has the ability to make Fire arrows, Ice arrows, and Light arrows. Light arrows are made of pure energy from the hearts of good souls, hence the name Shadow Destroyer. Yamashati believes in destroying evil, and always will believe in it. Which is why Light arrows are his favorite type.

Other: Wants to be known throughout the world as a pure soul and a person that vanquishes evil. He wants to be known for helping people live throughout there lives with peace. And that is his objective.

Description: 6'2, 180lbs. Heavily built. Able to lift things with great ease, and if that doesnt work, he'll carve a hole in the side of it with his electrical power. Has messy shoulder length brown hair and dark brown eyes. His front 2 top teeth are chipped from fights and 2 others are missing completely. He usually wears a skin tight black t-shirt and black jeans with black trainers. His arms are bare and the muscles are easily seen. He may wear fingerless black gloves as well, but only sometimes.
Personality: Aggresive, fearless, not bothered of peoples opinions. If somebody does something he doesnt like, they're quick to know about it.
History: He discovered his ability at 8 and was quickly brought to the school to try and keep his power under control. Unfortunately, he's developed a mean streak and is often in trouble.
Magical Ability: Able to manipulate and create electric charges.
Other: Do not annoy!

And maybe if you change the name of "Shimmers". The "Shadows" and "Twilights" both sound pretty cool, but "Shimmers" sounds....2nd-grade-ish...? Maybe "Novae" or "Coronae" or "Archangels" or something else that sounds "cool". Human psychology, human psychology.

You're right, KC. Shimmers kind of sounds girly. Well, I can't use your sugestions, although extremely good, cause I don't understand the first two, and Archangels doesn't have much to do with light. I chose Shadows on the basis of darkness. And Twilight on how it's in-between.

He has a black leather suede necklace, with a sun/moon combo pendant. he has black fingernail polish on all fingers.

Personality: He's really nice to those who deserve it. he's got excellent judgement, and is very arguementative on subjects he's pasionate about. Also, he's sarcastic, and funny. But gets serious when the time calls for it.
History: He grew up in a suburb on the Westbank of New Orleans. He had a typical life. Though he was rebellious, he made up for it in personality, and academic achievements. The age of 13, he developed his ability, and was considered dangerous by all his family and friends. His Mom still loved him, and sent him to the magic High School for his sake. She's the only one who stuck by his side.

Magical Ability: He has the ability of Telekinesis. He can float a light feather across the room slowly, or hurl a small car. He's very powerful, and doesn't try to pick fights.

Other: When he left, his Mom gave him a pet cat. It's solid black, and it's name is Midnight.

Novae (plural of nova) are exploding stars (as I'd think you'd know) and Coronae (plural of corona, or how ever you spell it) are the outer atmospheres of stars.

More suggestions: Solstices, Photo, Illuminare, Photons, Scintilas (sparks), Spectrums, etc. Oh! If you call them the "Novae" you could split them up in different ranks, like brown dwarves to main sequence to supergiants to pulsars to nutron stars, etc. Hope that helps.

I think that my for clearly states Clique: Leader of The Shadows and that can be easly interpretted as me asking, because technicly I ask you to let me join as that particular charictor, and this varient of him is the leader so i was technicly asking, but as long As I RP I'm Fine.

I'll be an ordinary guy in the shadows, the only difference between them is that he never became leader.

Oh and Explotion means a blast of energy.
