I just made my own forum and it shows everyones IP address,whats a ip for?And also where it shows where the usernames of people who are logged in at is says GoogleBot or Google.com as a username,whats that about?

IP addresses are the addresses of the server that the viewer is on. There is a different one for each house/building. (ie All the computers at your house have the same IP, all the computers at your local library have the same IP, but the computers at your house and the computers at the library have different IPs) There are different IPs for different areas, and by reading the IP you can tell if there are multiple accounts with the same person, etc.

About the "Google.com" users, it is either some people joking around, or it is a spam bot.

A googlebot is a program made by Google Inc. to track and index webpages to work with their search system.

A googlebot is quite harmless, while a username Google.com is kind of questionable.
