TMA, PE2K's #1 Team

Yeah. I'm setting up the shop for the returning memebers anyway. So here it is. :wink:

Just because I feel like it, I'll post about this team and what happened to it.

It was the beginning of the "teams" that people were assembling and it was pretty much in chaos. Syrus, our former leader, had cast some chosen members (and I think ALL of the moderators and fossils) to join his little secret alliance. this alliance was about having the gundam avatars and calling ourselves "magnificent". I obviously did not oblige to the "magnificent" name (for I am the rebel against Syrus), but took the gundam avatar instead.

This small alliance started to gain impact when it was administered as a war team. With arguably the greatest RPing powerhouses of all time (e.g. Syrus, Dani, Savage, Crimson, me, etc.), we pretty much dominated in the RPing section. It was about this time when Syrus changed his name to magnificent (due to an RPing thing we were doing) and this team named (solidly and for sure) "The Magnificent Alliance".

Tragedy struck as the second season of war came to an end. Our team of moderators had lost significant numbers (and others taking their place). We began to lose ground. Syrus and Dani both left within a week of each other. Syrus leaving the TMA to us.

Here stands the remenants of the TMA, and this is the new era of the TMA. Syrus may be arguably the best RPer around, but this doesn't mean we don't have anything taking his place. Heck, I don't think anyone can't be as good as, or even better than, Syrus himself. So this is the TMA as it stands. We will fight to the end (and there will be no end).

You obviously haven't heard old school rap...

Have you heard any sort of old school rap? It's elegant in it's own specail way. Take the beasty boys for example. They don't rap about drugs, killing, and it's not all vulgar. They're on parties, and big screen TV's. And they don't sing it, they rap it...Completly different....except for R&B.


EDIT: Rap IS a style of music but different from most because of the subjects, or atleast the new subjects anyways, but that doesn't make it that much different. And what you said, was completly opinion...(or mostly).

There were a few bad rappers but most of them were partiers. And i don't mean 1990's either. I mean some from 1970-1980. It's fun to listen to. I enjoy it.

Sorry to interrupt. I’ve been meaning to post this a while ago but I’ve been having computer problems.

I just want to ask if I could join TMA. After this war got started at proboards I really wanted to join a team and help out. I went to the mixed groups/clubs board and read every single one of the threads. TMA caught my immediate attention. 500 posts seemed a bit much. I know I don’t post very often (took me almost a year to hit 230 and then the forum was deleted) and I’m not much of the social type but I would love more than anything to be able to help out even a little. I know I could probably join another team and then leave later on, but I’m not the kind of person to do that. I could never turn my back and leave like that so I’ve put much thought into deciding on a team that I would love to stay with till the end. This is the only one. Even to this day I can’t really see myself joining any other team. The other week a read that new members were being requested and well, I felt this was really my only chance to ask (until maybe next fall/year), so here I am. :oops:

I feel kind of bad that I can’t really offer much. I could probably do fan art but I don’t really have any other talents that I can think of that would aid in any of the other categories. If it came down to it, I could possibly do trivia too but depending on when the war is, one may be all I can handle. I know you already have members taking care of both so it doesn’t help much.

Below is a quick sketch I did the other day. I’m frustrated that I can’t quite get the other wing and arm to look right but I figured I’d post what I had for right now incase you wanted to see an example of what I can do. The top link is for the full size and the other is for a smaller version. (Hopefully these links work. I’ve been having trouble getting them to link to the picture.) My scanner distorted the colors a bit. It’s sort of on the yellow side but it’s supposed to be more of a lime/light green. :susp:

Anyways, I want to make a few comments on his post.

Anyone can say a whole lot of pretty words. But if you want to join TMA then you have to be very loyal. You seem like you would be and all, since you say you only wanted to join this team. But, then again TMA was in the lead of the WAR back then. And on top of that everybody wanted to get in because Syrus and Dani were the leaders. And about every other moderater except for just a few were on this team. But their loyal prooved to be false when Syrus and Dani left. Most people left and made up an excuse like "Sy and Dani were good friends of mine and this team is making me depressed. i'm leaving". And then they went to te other leading team, Team Trainer. Now, when we win the WAR they'll all prolly come crawling back and we'll slam the door on them just like they slammed it on us (THEY ABANDONED US!). You though...You've been wanting to join alot and even after they left you still wish to join. I say your loyalty would definitly stand solemn even if we were loosing (WHICH WE WON'T! YOU'RE GOING DOWN TEAM TRAINER, NOX, AND EVERY OTHER TEAM!). The bad thing about this is how you don't post much. What's to make you come online during the WAR? I think the Team itself would so I think everyone should let you on the team!

And the anyone can say alot of pretty words comment I made. My point there was you were trying to hard I believe.


EDIT: You could do URPG. All you have to do is assemble a strong team and you could win this team a few points. THe art is pretty good to.

Well, I guess it's a bit much but I didn't think just randomly popping in and saying "hey I want to join" would sound like I really cared. I just really wanted to say what I truly felt in my heart.

When I said I don't post much I meant I don't post actual messages very often. I come online and look around just about every single day at least for a few minutes. Only exceptions are when I have a ton of homework or my parents want to go to our cottage. Shoot. I just remembered this now but during the summer my parents usually take two or three weeks off to go up there as well as a few weekends. It's never in a row but that would still pose a problem.

I thought about the URPG for a while. I'd love to be able to do it but I thought it'd take a while to get a fair bunch of pokemon together when I'm not very good at writing and I'm not quite sure of exactly how to start a match and stuff. I'm definitely interested in it but I don't think I'd be able to get very far by the time this war comes around. I'd be willing to give it a try though.

I knew you'd be worried about the loyalty thing too. I was kind of shocked that they all left after Syrus and Daniella. I never really got to know them but it still greatly saddened me when I learned they had left. Even though they are gone I still want to join.

A little side note-I'm not a guy. But that's ok. I don't mind if you mix it up. I've always been addressed as a guy ever since I joined at proboards.

There's somethings you can't help but be gone about so it shouldn't really matter. But, when it comes to the URPG. Just start with a strong Pokemon (one of the starters like Treecko, Chickorita, something like that, or you could get a Lapras like I did) and then win a whole lot of battles then you can buy good pokemon since you start out with 3000 dollars anyways. Besides, it's worth a shot. Just try stories every now and then and some of the judges will give you some tips so they practically tell you how to catch a poke if you miss it the first time. ^_^

I don't think anybody will have a problem with you joining though. Since you took so long on that post I know that if I was able to I'd accept you in as soon as I finished reading it! But I'd still make the comments.

This is My farewell message... Syrus put me incharge of TMA when he left, and wanted me to kick ass... but whether its me, or the fact that everyone left with him... members are dropping like flies

TMA is not dead, but just needs a turn about... I know it will do great without it me, since I havent been here much anyways...

TMA like Sy said was a group of friends, and we are the most tallented, dont forget...

I am not leaving however for plublic crap or what not... you guys should know me better then that, considering I could care less then anyone, what people think lol...

and TMA is not the reason for leaving, but was the only reason for staying

I am leaving, because this site sucks... it was fun, when it had Sy, because he invested alot of time in it... and was actualy cool to talk to... but without him here, this site is seriously boring

I'm not going out with class, or giving a better reason... because that alone is good enough... I have no obligation to this site, only TMA...

Although I've had some good times, with a bunch of funny people, and that I do not regret...

SO as my final order as Leader... I here by put KENNYC In charge of my role in TMA... he just seems the be the best choice for this team... and will have good leadership... as for E8, he can do whatever he wants... not my prob

You are right though, this site sucks without Syrus. And it would suck now with him. This site is going to the n00bs, and people with hig post counts that are really n00bs. Some of the best members are leaving, and have left. Its a real shame.

Its a mystery why Im still here, though. (My club, thats all.)

Anyway, it looks like this team's future is very grim. All the well-known members are leaving, and it doesn't seem that we don't have anything big planned for the War. This may sound a little weird, but I think we should get substitutes for the members that are leaving/have left to cover up the holes this team is getting.

The team is definitely getting pretty small. There needs to be a list of who's left and what they're doing though. I don't think everything is covered anymore. Then if needed, people can be found for those slots I guess. I'm not going anywhere, but yeah, this site is really dying. About the war, it doesn't sound as though it's going to be anytime soon. I mean I get the feeling that they keep adding more and more to it and well, I just don't see it starting before July at the earliest... I was hoping it would have begun by now but the plan just seems to be on hold. Nothing's happening except we're shrinking. Something really needs to happen. Once it starts maybe things will be better. Who knows.
