LVL 78 battle tower

I'm trying to get my gold card, so the final thing to do is defeating the battle tower

While i was busy, i came to trainer #15, he started with a Blaziken lvl 100, only he had a nickname ( ''Cop!!'' or something like it )
I defeated it, and then Latias came, nothing unusuall untill now

But then a Swampert came, with a nickname again ( ''Swampert!!'' )
The weird thing is that the Swampert was in lvl78, but i really thought thit was the battle tower lvl100.....

So, is this an error/bug or is it normal ?

You've just mixed records with someone who has challenged the battle tower before and so their battle team will now appear in the battle tower. Even if you didn't mix records with that person specifically, they could have mixed records with the person you did. It's just another player's lv 100 battle tower team. And well they probably didn't have a third lv 100 poke so they threw in their swampert.
