Doom Seeds

If I use doom seeds, will my pokemon's stats go down? and by how much?

A Doom Seed is a rare seed that lowers your Pokemon's level by one.

No idea why you would want to, other than learning moves you forgot =/

Anyway i'm not sure. I'm guessing stats might go down, and if so they probably will by the same amount they went up by.

For example:

Charizard grew from level 49 to level 50.

Attack and Defense went up 2.

Charizard then eats a Doom Seed.

It goes back down to level 49, and it's attack and defense lower by 2.

Exactly what Declaration said. The only reason I can think of right now as to when you would do this is when you want to get an old Deoxys move since Deoxys can't relearn moves at the Gulpin Link Shop (since it has multiple forms and therefore movesets).

BUT try doing it on Lv 1 see if it glitches to Lv 0 then do another glitch it to Lv -1

I said the only use for this is using it on Deoxys since Deoxys (and I believe only Deoxys) cannot relearn moves at the Gulpin Link Shop since it learns different moves for each form.

or maybe it works on opponents so you can beat them (like groudon so you recruit him lower level)

Doom seeds can be used to learn 2 of the same move. Gulpin can only get you one copy of the move. Ex: Blastoise learns Hydro pump, doom seed, level up again Blastoise learns another hyrdo pump.

I found a great use for it.:biggrin:
In the Lv.1 dungeons that allow you to take items, use them to re-learn a move you really need. For ex.
Keckleon learns fury swipes @ Lv. 12.
Use Doom seed on it, then train it back to Lv. 12 and you get to re-learn fury swipes.
Now you have 2x the fury swipes. This is really helpful in those Lv.1 dungeons. Fury Swipes does a ridiculous amount of damage. I think it has like 20PP. Each move does at least 30 damage and the max I believe is 75.

You can take out almost anyone.:eek:

You can't relearn moves you already know at the Gulpin Link Shop. Using Doom Seeds you can relearn moves you have already so you can have more than one spot for a single move. For example, as Team Overkill said, you can make Kecleon learn Fury Swipes twice or more.

ok, i told my cousin with gameshark, he started up a new game, put in have all items code, use doom seeds on the starter, but lvl 1 is the minimum lvl

I did it to start off witha lvl 1 shiney Mew :D traded for a lvl 88 shiney mew, transfered it, and i started new with it...oh was it glorious

I've never seen a Doom Seed before. Better chek that out.
