Fly?

In RS and FR/LG Taillow, Swablu, Wingull, Hoothoot, Pidgey, Spearow, Doduo and loads of other 1st stage Flying types can learn HM02 Fly but Zubat can't learn it until you evolve it to it's 3rd stage, Crobat. Why is that?

Eh, do you think a eighty pound human could get on top of a Zubat and expect it to fly? :tongue2: Really, I don't know, but I think is that the programers wanted you to get it to it's third stage. Maybe for the Pokedex, maybe just so you wouldn't have it as a Golbat or Zubat. :ermm:

I think that it makes sense that Zubat and Golbat cannot learn fly. As was earlier mentioned, Zubat is much too small and fragile to be able to carry you. Furthermore, as it has said multiple times in the dex, Golbat eats until it is too heavy to fly. Crobat, to me, seems much more like a flyer.

Kinda freaked me out a bit when I saw Doduo use Fly in Colosseum. It appears to be running on some stairs on the first turn and the overall attack looks like some sort of weak bungee jump.

Look at Aggron. It can learn Surf. x.X;

But back on topic. Crobat would be the one to learn Fly because of it's size. Have you seen it's size in relation to a human's? It's huge!

Well... Snorlax's ability to use surf is very self explanitory... look at a boat? How is it able to float? Because of It's mass/density ratio. I think that is it... lol. That is also the reason that Fatso is able to float... I'm refering to laxy here.

Well...err...maybe because...well...ASK THOSE NINTENDO'S they have created the game with defaults. In my own opinion I say that even a Squirtle shall fly =)

About Butterfree... I saw once an episode in anime when a Butterfree lifted up a guy from a hole.... x.X

Now Zubat is tooooooooooooooooooooo tiny to fly, and also Golbat! (he's like a football with wings x_X) But Crobat is bigger and stronger... Nintendo wanted the game to be more realistic (as realistic Pokemon is...) And as for Snorlax Flying, haven't u guys seen the episodes arround Orange Islands, when Snorlax traveled from island to island?
And as for Aagron, I ahve no idea, because he is Steel, that has something wrong with water X_______________________X....

This has already been answered before =D Mr. Mime's *** name wasn't gender based, but for some dumb reason, nintendo translated it into Mr. Mime.

And Charmander should be able to fly! =( Just cuz he's my fave =)
