Do you think there should be a new Pokemon type in Diamond/Pearl? I think so.

We're kinda past the wondering stage... I mean, the game is less than 3 weeks away from an English launch.

But anyways, to answer the question, no, I don't think there should be new types. I think all the type combinations should be explioted first, and D/P is showing off many new ones. We don't need new types yet... Maybe for the next game.

I don't really know what else they could do. Light would be corny.

Nope. New stuff like weaknesses, strengths, and strategies would be stupid and pointless. But people would use it, so I'd naturally have to adapt. XP

No they should make pokemon with more combine types like..grass/ghost.....and normal/thunder.

We definitely need to just combine the types better. Like ice for instance. I'm kind of lamed-out by the overwhelming amount of grass/poison types but there's only one bug/ghost type and one bug/steel type for instance.

*inhales very slowly*

Yeeeeeeeea... No.

Isn't D/P already out on Earth? You THINK they would change it by now? O_o

Adding more types would be unnessesary. I mean... COME ON. What possible animal can be turned into a Psychic/Dark Type Pokémon?!

Besides, I think that Pokémon should be unique like that and be the only dual-type with those two types it has. Think Palkia.

EDIT: Normal is practically the ONLY type that CANNOT be combined with any elemental type well. Methinks a Water/Normal type is not normal...

I don't think Fortress is Bug/Steel... I was actually thinking of Scizor. :P

Correct. ^_^

As for my two cents on a new type... nope. We already have 17 to toy around with, so why ask for more? Also, what other types can you have? Light? Plasma? If we started adopting more elements, then this will probably get too out of control.

I'm perfectly fine with the current types. In fact I'm just as excited by the new type combos. It'll be the first time we have Steel/Dragon, Water/Normal, Electric/Ghost... and stuff! Pretty cool, and interesting to see how it all works out in competitive play.

We already have so many types. It'll kinda be a little confusing if they added a new one.

There should be.Something like aura for Lucario.

Caecity
04-09-2007, 09:27 PM

That probably won't happen. They dump all the weird stuff into Normal type anyway. Look at Porygon! He's "normal" type.
